Its a difficult endeavor to review new businesses right after they open. That said: Ive been drinking the coffee of this venture since they hit the farmers market a year or more ago, and I have been eagerly looking forward to the day they opened. Im thrilled its in walking distance. Based on five or six early trips: they are overwhelmed with traffic so far and are trying to figure out how to run orders and drinks efficiently. I havent had to wait too too long, but others Ive talked to have. Their still-limited launch food menu is full of delicious things, and honestly I wouldnt mind if it doesnt get that much more complicated. Is it in the league of Astro or Trinosophes? In my opinion, not yet. The espresso is great, but not top level. The pour-over is really good and really does well by their roasts. Their one flavored latte is excellent, though I would want the sweetness dialed back by 75% in my next one. The base coffee, even in the lighter roasts, is a little too deeply roasted for my (admittedly unusual and some would say snobbish) tastes. I think its a middle ground between what I consider perfect coffee and the palate of the typical Starbucks or Biggby aficionado. I can take my Starbucks-loving friends and my coffee snob friends and everyone is satisfied. Thats a win. Im also just thrilled with the space. People gathering and talking, working, meeting. Its a much better and more useful gathering space than either Biggby or Starbucks. I hope it becomes a center of the community for years to come.

What a place, everything was superb, Coffee, ambience, coffee, service, Staff, Seating, Coffee, Snack, coffee, parking, Tea, Coffee,, WOW. (did I mention coffee more than one time??.. Lol) Thursday Work Stress Relief Coffee time. They have variety of Coffee and different Brew types, My favorite Pour Over, Espresso, batch brew, Etc, brewing a coffee is a science very few place understand that and this is one of them. I got a latte, Just perfect, Smooth and perfect amount of body. (I did not add sugar, right amount of sweetness from the milk) I would say light to medium roast. I saw a person getting a green colored coffee called "Matcha Latte", she said thats delicious, I have to try that next time. They have a selection of pastries, looked really good ( see the picture) I did not eat taste them though. Ambience, well lit, spacious, lot of seating, definitely one can sit and work. Staff and service, super friendly, it was super busy when I went, they were able to serve each and everyone with a smile and moderately fast. (I waited about 5 minutes for my late, Not too bad) ample parking in front and in the side, (Free and paid) They do have some kind of reward system, about 5% back

The place is tucked in with a group of restaurants, bars and other local places so its easily missed if you dont know what your looking for. Theres plenty of parking including two free parking garages. Inside its a friendly atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, and a variety of games available to play which was a nice touch. I took my kids there just to get coffee, we ended up staying because they wanted to play. They have a calendar that takes up most of the back wall that displays local events they set up including live music and yoga. Most importantly the coffee is delicious with a generous selection and the food was prepared fresh.

Some of the best Craft Coffee I have experienced on the East side of Michigan to this day! If you like a quality hand crafted espresso drink you will love what they have to offer here as they use mod bar espresso machines to make their beverages! Bless em! If your thing is black coffee they have tons of great coffees to choose from and they use a variety of brewing methods. GEISHA! Bless them doubly!! Not enough coffee shops have the ability to serve Geisha, but they do here! Cant say enough and Ive already written to much. Just come by and enjoy what they are doing!

My go-to coffee spot! Great selection of specialty drinks with beautiful presentation. "Hip" environment — open layout; variety of seating options. Their food and dessert menu has expanded, which is nice. Staff are friendly and helpful with coffee selection. Its definitely a place you want to hang in and soak up the ambience. Theyve also got a wall with a bunch of different board games. Theyve done a great job with this coffee shop and I hope they will be able to expand one day!

Im from Grand Rapids and stopped by Common Grace for an afternoon work session. While the review are clearly positive I feel this place needs a 6 star rating. Wonderful staff, knowledgable in respect their process and recommendations based on your tastes, quick service and stellar drinks. The "Black Honey" is amazing and the chai is the best Ive ever had. Period. Without a doubt GR does a great job (e.g. Ferris, Lyon Ste., Lantern, Lightfast) but Common Grace is scary good.

Great atmosphere, I go there often to study or work. Many choices of coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads. Best part...the baristas! So friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure youre satisfied with your purchase. They have live entertainment and other events going on all the time and this just adds to the quality service I receive there each and every time. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome coffee shop. Hands down the best coffee in the area. Their Community Blend standard brew is great but every one of their pour over options is amazing. Great baked goods. Wonderful atmosphere. Most of all their staff are always awesome, sincere, and friendly. Unbelievable asset to downtown Westborn.

The drip coffee was fine, a little on the bitter side. Very limited food options were bagels (they were out of the flavor my boyfriend wanted), apples, bananas, and a turkey panini. The atmosphere was cool, but thats about it. If I go back Ill try specialty coffee since that seems to be the entire menu.

I like the aesthetics of Common Grace. It doesnt look like most other coffee shops as it has a more minalistic/modern feel to it. What I really like though is how big the tables are. There is definitely plenty of room to sprawl out and get some work done here. I got an Americano and it was pretty good.

Open layout, with a modern feel. Friendly, good vibes. The kind of place where you feel you can strike up a conversation. Different kind of cafe, as the staff works extra hard to serve customers. Im not a coffee aficionado, but its great to support small business and a place with fair trade policies.

Coffee is very acidic. Tastes similar to the complimentary coffee you get at hospitals. Took forever to get drinks and staff was constantly confused about who ordered what. That being said, the place has a cool vibe to it. Live music Friday nights.
