I have been here three times now and disappointed on all times. The first time I ordered the pulled chicken & mixed greens salad that I found to be ok but nothing that entices me to want to go back and order again. I have had better salads at lower end restaurants. The second time I ordered the jumbo lump crab cake Benedict and again was disappointed in the flavor combinations. I love a good seafood combination with breakfast but this was lacking in flavor. The most recent item I tried was the potato latke sandwich which left a lot to be desired. The Canadian bacon was very rich and was not consistent in the amount placed throughout the dish. Parts of the dish would not have any bacon while others had 3 layers. The potatoes did not have much flavor and the egg was not over easy, more like over hard. The sautéed onions that were on top were necessary to help balance out the richness of the ham and the blandness of the potatoes. Overall, the dish was just ok and not worth ordering again.

I ordered the veggie scramble. It came served with what looked like ham in it. Was told it was chicken sausage???. (Well that makes it ok then). I was told this place was up market high end? Hmmm Personally I think that kind of food cross contamination is just not acceptable. They gave us $10 off the $100 bill. Gee thanks. Considering I just ate a non descript piece of meat??? Then the water glasses had lipstick on. Wont be going here again. Original pancake house for me.

After years of "always" having a great meal at BHG things have started to go a little sideways. Last nights dinner was terrible, the chicken was processed and rubbery on my Caesar. A couple of weeks prior to this my salmon was not fresh and we all smelled it before it got to the table. Even the waiter (a longtime wonderful employee) noticed the smell and took it away immediately.The downward changes in the menu and daily specials reflects their cost cutting measures. Sad.

Great specials, but they do run out so make sure you get their early. They dont take reservations either. Ive always had great food and service, though if youre used to a large dinner, youll probably want to order an appetizer or salad as well. Definitely a bit more fancy, but perfect for a date night, anniversary, etc.

I have been eating here for a decade, and I always make sure that Gary is my waiter! My family has known him forever and hes a wonderful host. The food is always fresh and delicious, and I dont think Ive ever had a single subpar experience. Easily my favorite restaurant in all of Southeast Michigan

Good food. Nice atmosphere. Upscale yet cozy small venue. Nice decorative appointments. One thing that tripped me up was that they charge $3 for a single cup of coffee. You can do better at Starbucks. But I guess the $3 gets unlimited refills of the utmost premium of premium roasted beans. I guess.

This place was delicious. Dont let the picture full you. The California omlette was delicious and well cooked. The ambiance of the restaurant exudes upscale but business professional at lunch but families were also present. The service was great and good experience overall. Would come.back again.

The breakfast dishes are my favorite (especially the french toast!) but the dinner menu doesnt disappoint. This place is a classic. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years and the service os still good! They are very accommodating including when you have a large party. Enjoy!

I visited for the first time not too long ago, about a month and I went in with great expectations, and left very satisfied. I ordered, the meat loaf, and it was just like my mother in laws. And that is saying a lot. I want to come back again for breakfast, probably next week.

Ive been here many times over the last 10 years and Ive never liked it. I only end up going because other people like it. The place is too small for how many people they keep inside waiting, food overrated and staff blah. I would much rather spend my money somewhere else.

Great place to eat at any time of day. I took my boss here for a business lunch and it was a huge hit. Great food! Moderate pricing for breakfast and lunch but gets a little bit more expensive for dinner (totally worth it though). Enjoy!

I got the crab omlette. It was delicious. The bacon was also excellent (I ordered it extra crispy). The brand of English muffins they use are also awesome. Lots of good daily specials. Breakfast, lunch and dinner food all day long.

Best brunch in the area. Always seems to be a long wait, but they have happily provided me coffee while I wait, which is a nice touch. The food is worth the wait and this way I know Im in for something good.

Just went here for lunch - the restaurant is lovely if in a slightly inconvenient location. Its very busy so I would say its better to come at off hours - but soooo worth it, the food is AMAZING.
