When I moved to Westwood in 2006 Roach Bros was my favorite supermarket. In the last 5 or 6 years theirs been a slow decline in quality and customer service. Tough meat, fruits & veggies past their prime, and prepared foods that are now bland or worse made with inferior ingredients. The customer service ranges from sullen managers down to poorly trained / supervised counter help and baggers. I truly hoped that the competition of the new Wegmans in town would knock some sense into the Roaches. But, sad to say nothing has changed.

Great shopping experience. Clean, warm, well staffed, fresh groceries, delicious store made hot foods and baked goods. Would be 5 stars, but it is very expensive, so not for everyone or everyday for me.

Suburban supermarket. Pricey chain but stores cleaner than most & service marginally better. Avoid prepared foods - lethal & tasteless. Above average seafood counter but deli ridiculously overpriced

Roche Brothers has great produce area - and the meat sales are good too. Go there at least 1 or 2 times/week. Salad bar is always stocked well and the hot foods to-go are good.
