I am not really sure what this place is suppose to be other then a locals hangout. Being from out of town I wish I had known better. My guest and I ordered food which was okay. When I asked for a sombrero is where our experience went down hill. The woman behind the bar asked me if I knew how to make it. Then after I told her she informed my guest that she didnt use real Kahlua, just so you know, my drink tasted horrible, when my guest returned the drink she offered me a free substitute, a chocolate vodka martini, which was no better. Maybe this place would start with replacing people behind the bar that have actually studied the how to be a bartender book & then spend a bit more money on the booze you carry. I would not recommend.

Tonight I went to The Whip and was denied entry because I am from Connecticut. I politely answered their questions as they looked at my REAL license even though it was in an interrogating way. After what felt like forever he said we cant let you in because this is a fake ID. I asked the bouncer to speak to a manager and he let me know he was the Manager so I asked him to please call the police because it is real. He said he can let whoever he wants in because it is a private establishment. I am very concerned that he couldnt tell my real license from a fake one and made me ruin my friends plans to go get drinks and wings... I would not suggest this place to anyone solely because they practice SEGREGATION.

Its your local watering hole. Time can pass but this place stays the same - Love it or hate it, you know you can always count on the Whip for a good time. The DJs always crush it and most of the bartenders are the same old gs who have been serving there with a smile for years (I know bc I am one). For all the negative reviewers on here - I invite you to come down and give the Whip another go around - hit up a Wing Night during football season, first drinks on Tiff & Kait. The Whip is one of Westfields gems, not to be overlooked!

Not the greatest place. The pool tables are destroyed and there isnt a lot of room to play. Drinks were reasonable I guess, but overall its a dive.
