The menu here was big. It also contained many things that the squeamish westerner (me) would shy away from. I dont know if that is why I was the only non-asian in the place. To be fair, it was before dinner hour and therefore wasnt crowded (maybe a dozen by the time I left at 4:30), so I dont know if that is the norm, but the wall contained maybe two dozen items displayed on it in Korean, some of which offered no English translations. I suspect that if you are Korean or adventurous you would likely find things here you wish were more available, or made the way you would like them.. I dont know for certain though. I have no Korean roots and nearly always get dol sot bi bim bap, so I dont exactly have broad knowledge. And I live in Pittsburgh so I have no local frame of reference. When my food was served there was one other couple in the restaurant (again, 4 PM). My server brought a tray of banchan that I assumed was part mine and part for the other couple. I was surprised when she laid 10 dishes on me, and a miso soup. I am used to 3 or 4. Each one was fresh and tasty (spicy). Come to think of it, the couple got the same 10 dishes. Maybe they dont adjust for the number of people. The DSBBB here has a light flavor compared to that of Pittsburgh restaurants. It also didnt scorch my tongue the way it sometimes does (maybe it had time to cool while I ate all that banchan). The vegetables were clearly fresh because they had a bit of that raw crunch that I like. It was nice overall. And it was only $10. Its $18 in Pittsburgh.

My family has been coming to Westborough Korean for years and it is, in our opinion, your best option for Korean food in the area. PROS: the banchan (korean side dishes) are decent and plentiful (11), the portions are fairly generous, and the restaurant & staff create a very authentic feeling atmosphere. TOP DISHES: kimchi jjigae, fried yellow croacker, dolsot bibimbap, naengmyun, haemul pajeon, jjampong, and jajangmyeon. CONS: When the kitchen is busy, the staff can get quite stressed and snappy. Once, the staff completely forgot the order of one of my friends and we spent forever waiting for it; the waitress was not apologetic. Also, like with most asian restaurants, DONT ORDER THE DISHES THAT ARENT OF THIS CUISINE. Theyre simply not going to be that good. However, sometimes the influence of other cuisines sneaks into what should be authentic korean dishes. For example, the kimchi & pork stir-fry was tasty, but had more of a Chinese stirfry taste than the authentic korean flavor (lacking fermented pungency, pork in thin strips, and had some strange gravy?) Overall: stick to the korean classics and theyll be well executed here. Pro tip - DQ on the way home is perfect

Myself, an Aussie, a New Yorker and 10 Egyptians were on a training course in MA. My love of Korean BBQ had convinced the group to spend our last dinner here in the Westboro restaraunt. After a 45 minute drive, and seeing the front entrance, I felt a bit of panic settle in. It looks very run down from the outside. Once we got in we were welcomed by a lovely lady who appeared to be the restaurant owner. We got settled in to what was a very confined space, but manageable for the amount of people that I dragged along with me. The starters were really nice and each quite different. I was actually very hopeful that this place would deliver some good food! When the main meals came out, each and every single one of them was cooked to perfection. As an avid KBBQ foodie, I can say that this is easily the best KBBQ Ive ever had. Very authentic and rich in flavor. Everyone was very pleased with the food and service and atmosphere of the place, the owner made us feel very welcome. I feel a bit of a makeover on the outside would do this place wonders. If I ever comeback to the states, I will definitely make sure I drop by here again.

My wife and I always like to try new things. We were recommended to try this local Korean Barbecue place. It is a very small standalone restaurant with very basic and a bit run-down decor. We were greeted by a middle-aged woman without a lot of smile. The whole restaurant had only 2 female servers. The food was average and was on the sweet side. I have tried some other Korean restaurants and the taste was by far superior. The issue with this place is the attitude with the servers. They seem to be a lot nicer to people speaking Korean. There were appetizer dishes that they serve. We were served about 10 dishes. The Korean couples sitting next to our table were served about 12 dishes and they were brought over additional dishes throughout the meal. When we asked for a refill of one of the dishes, the servers face changed to being annoyed and she came back with a dish telling us that there should be no refill on any dishes. We were stunned in the rudeness this woman acted. We will not recommend this place to anyone who does not speak Korean.

We had been to Westboro Korean Restaurant in the past, and the experience had been great. But lately, it looks like has taken a downturn. The space is cramped, overall ambiance looks run-down now. We had to wave the waiter each time and ask for everything (menu, water, spare-napkins, more water, knives and spoon). It seemed like the person taking away the dirty dishes was not too happy that day, so she was making a huge noise, throwing dishes into the bucket as she went around cleaning other tables. None of the dishes we ordered had any taste to it, we ended up packing it. Even that, the waitress simply dropped two boxes and walked away. Overall, I would not go back to this place again. I would have been happier ordering a pizza that night.

I will give the food high score but the service sucks. We wanted to order take out fodd, the women on the counter said we can get faster food if we eat in. By this time we already had paid for the take out. Then we decided to stay. We did get the food in fast pace but no water until you ask for it. Once done we left to leave, the women behind the counter came back running saying you owe us tips 15 to 20 % of the bill charges. Which is thought was pretty rude. First of all we didnt want to stay, she insisted and then this...i would recommend to take out food but now sit in this retaurtant,

Tiny little Ma and Pa Restaurant. Authentic kimchi, bulgogi and bibimbap dolsot (in firey hot stone bowel). They have various Korean beers. I took away one star because the tiny square lounge is sparse and a bit uncomfortable.it has no charm or ambience. The owners and occasional odd server could have a slightly more cheery demeanour. Still, this doesnt take away from the fact that it is one of the few places in this region to get a decent selection of Korean foods & flavors.

Being Chinese, I feel that this resturant is fantastic and suits my taste. This may not be the case for others that may be more accustommed to Western food as many of their dishes are spicy (but this can be adjusted). Food-quality wise, this resturant is about the same as Sapparo (another Korean resturant in Westborough), but this place is much cheaper! If you like Chinese, Japanese, or (obviously) Korean food, I would recommend for you to try this place out!
