The food is not up to the standards that their prices lead them to be. The tomato sauce tastes as if #10 cans of Angelia Mia were opened and not much added for depth of flavor beyond that. The bread that is brought to the table tastes and has the consistency of store bought bread - not the kind you get from the bakery. The butter should have been brought close to room temperature so it spreads and doesnt maul the bread because its rock hard cold. Also, the meats for the antipasto were sliced WAY too thickly. Antipasto meats should be sliced paper thin. Prosciutto is practically inedible when its any thicker than paper thin because it is naturally as chewy as leather. The flavor is also entirely wrong when you take in too much at once (which you have no choice to do when its sliced that thick). Sadly, the heat and eat stuff that comes from Olive Garden tastes better than the quality of food that came from the chateau. Being a chef myself, I expected so much more than was delivered by the chateau because their prices are that of a fine dining restaurant - they clearly are not.

The hostess took entirely too long to make eye contact, never mind take our name and have us seated. Our waitress Sandra was MORE than pleasant and very attentive. We ordered calamari as an appetizer ( no tentacles) it was tasty and the Italian wedding soup and clam chowda were decent as well. Our food on the other hand was DISGUSTING. we ordered two simple dishes: chicken parm and a meatball sandwich. The fries and onion rings were barely room temp and there was American cheese on my not so moist chicken parm ( YUCK) . We had one, very easy to please, 3 year old with us who ordered a pizza and wasnt remotely enticed by her mushy excuse of a pizza. Im sorry, but for an "Italian " restaurant I was less than pleased. I can understand not having good fries but your chicken parm and meatballs should be ON POINT. Disgusted ! I wouldnt return even if it was free, but the waitress deserves a round of applause

Terrible service not what I was expecting. I had gotten used to the Andover location figuring it would be similar. The Greek salad tasted like dog Doo the bartender was more interested in the regulars then myself at the bar. I waited over 20 minutes for a drink where the bartender talk to some friends at the other end. The overall atmosphere was terrible as well. I tried to play Keno no one was at the desk the bartender said I have to wait for her as she yelled across the restaurant. I went on and waited 10 to 15 more minutes to play my numbers. The manager walked around aimlessly pouring draft beers. I think the place just needs better management it was awful I was totally disappointed.

I heard someone in the lobby praise threr bread..heating up bread DOES NOT MAKE IT HOME MADE its the oldest trick in the book. tHE BEST PART OF THE NIGHT WAS KENO and won $6 and bought 10 $2 Celtics Cash and won $54 If it wasnt for the winning would have been 2 stars

Predictably decent Italian food at moderate prices. The menu is pretty extensive and the staff generally knows how to handle families, crowds and special orders. The one in Westborough is usually packed basically because people know that theyll be able to feed their families there in a reasonable amount of time without breaking the bank. Not exactly what I would consider a "special occasion" dining experience. If youre looking for great Italian, try Worcester or Boston. If youre looking for a quick sit-down dinner in town that probably wont offend anyone in your group, this is the place.

Im a long time fan and patron of the Château. Ive grew up in Waltham and Ive been going there all my life. I now have a family of my own and live near the new Westboro restaurant location, so im very happy that there is a local Chateau that i can continue the tradition and share with my family. the Cheateau has a big menu but my favorite s are the Toasted Raviolis and you should also try the veal pram sandwich. Also, the pizza is very good if youre into thin crust Italian pizzas vs. Greek pizza. P.s. the service is always great!!!

My wife and I went here twice, on gift cards. Both experiences were very similar, and were not in a hurry to return. While Chateau offers good service and decent atmosphere, the whole reason for dining out - the food - is disappointing. Last night we ordered toasted ravioli and gnocchi pomodoro. The ravioli seemed excessively fried and chewy, and the gnocchi was grossly overcooked. For these prices at a local chain, I would expect far superior quality to Olive Garden, but sadly, Id choose the OG over this.

I saw the Wednesday night pizza special and decided to give this place a try. The pizza was pretty good although it was only warm when I picked it up which I thought was strange because I waited for a minute or so for them to finish up my order when I arrived. Seemed a bit odd that it wasnt piping hot. Overall good pizza, nothing extraordinary but I would order from them again.

When I walked in for my take out order, I was greeted by passive aggressive, rude and unproffeshional teenagers who barely glanced my direction. When I was given my order it had no silverware either. I was here 2/21/17 in the evening. I will not be returning to shat-eau with these judgemental eyes of a blond haired and brown curly haired adolecents.

This restaurant chain at one time was very good. Now the food is still expensive but the quality has gone down hill. I ordered chicken cacciatore and when the plate arrive it was cold and the chicken arrived in the fried tendor form. I will not be returning this was the 2nd time different location that the food came unacceptable.

The food was okay, big menu of classic, mostly red-sauce pastas. The ambiance is really cute, sort of old-world Italian with the red checkered tablecloths. Seems like a good deal for lunch and like they have plenty of space for a large gathering. The food did not make a huge impression on me, though.

Disappointed. They have eliminated some of the best items from their menu. Recent changes to food prep are also noticeable. I will say the service by the wait staff continues to be near perfect, they are not responsible for the changes to the menu.

The food was not hot and my chicken piccata had mushrooms in it and being a cook I know that mushrooms do not belong in Piccata . This was a disappointment because I usually have a good experience but this time was different.

Had the cold antipasta and the chateau salad with grilled chicken. Both were good. The antipasta was more than I expected. It is an uncompli are place but the food seems solid and the waitress was nice. Not a bad experience.
