I found the Bean Counter on a few websites and chose them as our vendor for our wedding cake. We visited for a tasting, and the consultation was very nice - intimate, didnt feel rushed, and we had a chance to talk about style. The cake itself was amazing - all our guests loved it! We went with fondant, which comes at a premium, but it was well worth it for the clean design of the cake. If you send in a professional photo of your wedding cake, they mail you a certificate for a free cake on your one year anniversary - so you dont have to fuss with saving the top! Our like us, you can then downsize a bit, and get just enough cake for your guests instead of needing another tier! All in all, we were very satisfied with our experience. I might even say they were our easiest, most helpful and most efficient wedding vendor - they simply did what they were expected without being chased, what an odd concept!

I love the espresso and coffee items Ive gotten here. The last two times the baked good we purchased from their display (cupcakes and tarts) had a off taste. Im not sure if it was a weird fridge taste but it permeated the outside of all the treats. My son could would not even finish his which made me realize just how off putting it was. I think if you custom order a fresh cake you would be okay but I wont buy any baked goods from here in the future. Lattes were still great and the service was exceptional as always!

One of the best experiences I have ever had. Stuff (Alice) was really nice, very helpful, willing to help anytime, even late hours. I had a small incident with the cake before the shower and they fixed it last minute without any extra charges. The cake itself was soooooooo delicious and all our guests loved loved loved it. The feedback we have received are really great. I would strongly suggest Bean Counter in Shrewsbury MA.... THE ONE AND THE ONLY

The Bean Counter prides themselves in hand made from scratch baked goods. We ordered two cakes for our daughters birthday and the guests and girls loved the cakes. The owner (Alice) knows all about cakes and really takes time to answer all your questions. They have been business in Worcester for a while and they recently opened this bakery in Shrewsbury and we love it!

The over priced backed goods are almost as underwhelming as the staffs passion for customer service and quality product. The owner of the company is impossible to get ahold of and extremely disrespectful toward employees, and the owner believes she is "above the law", exact words of the office manager. Horrible business.

LOVED this place! They did our wedding cake and Alice made it exactly how we wanted it. They are really open to what you want, not to mention their cakes taste so good! We were also able to get gluten free and vegan cupcakes which I was told were really good too. Highly recommend for weddings

Great lattes, a big selection of really good cupcakes and pastries and nice staff. (vegan and gluten free options too!! Plus, soy milk option for lattes.) I have seen so many of their wedding cakes too - great quality and they are always beautiful and personalized.

So far so perfect. It is pricey but you receive what you pay for. This is by far the best bakery in the Worcester/Shrewsbury/Millbury area. High quality ingredients, talented people and excellent results.

Dont bother calling to place an order - no one ever picks up. Called twice and the phone rang for two minutes. Other location is just as bad if not worse for customer service.
