It took the waiter 20 minutes before letting us know that the credit card machines were out of service so we had to run to the ATM to get cash. At this point we did not even get our drink orders out or offered any type of chips and salsa. Once our drinks were out, there happened to be a fly in one of the over priced maragaritas. When the waiter was informed he simply explained that limes often attract flies? I ordered a medium-rear steak but received a fully cooked cheap excuse for a t-bone .I asked to speak to a manger but was told that there was no manager on duty. I asked for his card or information but I was repeatedly ignored. Never going there again. This restaurant is the worst rendition of Mexican cousine that I have Ever tried.

I can certainly say this is the best Mexican Restaurant in New England! Its a family owned business, they have couple locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut and I love each one of them! My favorite no doubt its the fresh guacamole made right on your table! As far as margaritas their house its refreshing and tasty! For dinner I love their Piña Loca (crazy pineapple) which combines grilled chicken and steak with seasoning and cheese all inside of a pineapple!! Crazy cool!! Staff and owners are very friendly. I love visit their locations when Im around them. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!

Horrible service and the food was OK. We were seated at a table soaked with water. Then waited 15 minutes for our waitress who came by once for our order then for the check. After another waitress came by to pick up the bill and insulted us for not leaving a large tip. He counted the money in front of us then showed us someone elses check. The service was horrible they didnt deserve any tips, then on top of that a jerk wants to treat us like crap because we were Hispanic females!!!

Just ok, went there to meet friends (there pick). atmosphere an staff were nice but food just ok. The guacamole cart is a good idea but Im not there for the show I just want excellent food. ALSO the prices seemed a little high for the quality of food. Nothing beats El Ranch Grande for the most delicious authentic Mexican food you have ever tasted, which is only about 15/20min away in providence. They also have great prices and the best drinks.. no where compares

I shouldve taken the hint of no one being in their parking lot and skipped the place. Service was absolutely lacking since our waiter was on the phone for the majority of our visit. Food was okay and nothing to brag about. Key Mexican flavors were absolutely missing. And to top it off, the other person I went with ended up throwing up their meal an hour after we left. Not sure if it was the food or the drinks, either way Im NOT going back.

Sadly most in New England wouldnt know real mexican food... their palate thinks anything that didnt come with a fire extinguisher is "bland" thats Tex-Mex not Mexican. This place has quite good real mexican food, on par with what i had in Arizona.... just wish they had some of my favorites on the menu, like carnitas chile verde, or chile relleno.... overall, quite good, well definitely be back.

Food was bland and uninspiring. the steak was heavily salted and rice was bland and very overcooked. The margarita was weak and much too sweet. I am a fan of good Mexican food and this experience was extremely disappointing. We do not plan to return and have told friends our our underwhelming experience.

Food was right on par, service was great. Unfortunately most New England folks have only had what they think Mexican food should be and have not had real authentic Mexican food. I have tried Mexican fair from here to Arizona, California and other places. This place rates right up there.

Excellent! The food was delish. We were rushed to order even before my husbands cocktail arrived. It was Cinco DE Mayo and it is a busy day for Mexican restaurants. From now on we will sit at the bar, injoy our cocktail then ask for a table. We do give it 4 stars!! We will return!!

I have tried 2 eat here 2 times. Both times I was seated and ignored (not even a drink order taken) while others around me were seated and had their orders taken, and were served. The place is disorganized and poorly managed.

Food is pretty good. But very slow and careless employees. You have to ask for extra stuff like napkins and need more water, they dont bring you anything unless you ask. Employees can be lound, and dont make you feel welcome.

After many trips to the Newington, CT location, I was thrilled to hear one opened up close by. It did not disappoint! Food is very fresh and theres a great selection. Large portions too, and the margaritas are excellent!

Great food at reasonable prices complemented with an authentic atmosphere. The pína loca was phenomenal, the steak and chicken were marinated to perfection and the pineapple flavor didnt dominate the dish.

Food was amazing and the service was too! Highly recommend for both adults and children. They even have karaoke on Wednesday nights! Beautiful decor...made me feel like I was back in Mexico on vacation ;)

Great restaurant & far better alternative to other restaurants in the area. Recommended to add bacon to everything, and be a bit adventures. Plenty of staples here from burritos, fajitas, & chimmys.

Great place ! Not traditional mexican food. Not texmex. But a great twist on Mexican food. Very good food at a reasonable price . I was waited on in a timely manner and the food is very good.

I love the food, the prices, and the atmosphere at Plaza Azteca. My only complaint was that perhaps the lights were up a little too high. Its brightly lit at night.

Quality of the food was superb. Service was a bit slow but not much so. My party of 5 really enjoyed it. The habanero hot sauce you can request is fire and great.
