FINALLY - I was able to visit this seafood gem. Theres the shack across the street which usually closes for the season mid September. But this market and restaurant stays open year round with limited hours. We were able to get 3 clam cake with a cup of chowder for 5.99 - which is a deal since a cup of chowder is 4.50. I understand that they are the chowder supplier for numerous restaurants in the area. Their chowder came out steaming hot - high grades for it being hot. It wasnt too thin or thick and was loaded with clams. But for me their "bargain corner" was a hit. You can get frozen blocks of a variety of chowders for cheap - cheap- cheap. They even had angus beef chowder frozen and ready to go. My new fun favorite spot for on the go seafood.

Ive been going to this clam shack since it opened. In the beginning it was 5 star but each year since, the chowder and clamcakes have tasted less and less clammy. Have you changed the recipe?
