You walk up to a counter to place your order. They give you a number and when the order is ready, someone shouts your number, and then brings your food to your table as its ready. our fries came out a few minutes after the burgers. Staff seemed very friendly. Between the two of us, we ordered a southwest burger (no pink) and teriyaki burger (pink), order of sweet potato fries, vanilla milk shake and an orangina. Total order was about $26-27 before tip. The burgers were cooked well to order and had good smokey flavor. Both burgers were ordered with lettuce tomato and onions. Toppings were fresh and a good amount. Taste and flavor was good (8 out of 10). The bread was too soft for the burgers and quickly became soggy and started to crumble after a couple bites. I wouldve prefered a kaiser roll or something more substantial to better balance everything it was holding in between. The burger itself was a bit dry for my taste to be a "great" burger...I think it couldve been a bit juicier. But it was nice to see the burgers are from local farms. Overall, I would rate the burgers we ordered 7.5 out of 10. Hand cut sweet potato fries - The amount of fries was very good, and salted well (not too much). The downside was that the fries was *very* limp. I like my fries crispy. These fries had absolutely no crisp to them. Based on the fries I received, I would rate them 5 out of 10. Milk shake - It was their standard size; theres no choice in sizes. The cup is the size of a typical small soda cut at most restaurants. The milk shake was about $5. I was expecting about a medium size cup worth. The milk shake was made nice and creamy, but nothing spectacular. 7.5 out of 10. Overall, I would rate this restuaurant 2.5 out of 5 stars, but if I had to choose between 2 and 3, I think its closer to 2 based on my order. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Northampton area. Ill be looking for a better burger elsewhere.

I can honestly say that after having eaten at Local Burger, it would take some serious convincing to get me to eat a burger elsewhere. I had some serious food poisoning recently (from another establishment) that took me out for almost three days. On the end of the second day I went to Local Burger since some friends were going. I hadnt been able to hold down real food up to this point, but figured Id chance it. That burger was like heaven, and damned if I didnt feel a lot better for having eaten it. Whenever Im feeling down, or just starved Local Burger restoreth me. And you can bring in your own beer!

Great Burger & Fries but Lousy Service. The kid behind the counter was clueless. Totally invisible to him. Had to ask for a beer like that wasnt an option. Had to ask for a menu like they might just have food here. Had to ask for a second beer like that was a really weird request. He messed up the order somehow and when the kitchen noticed that everybody around me was getting food and I wasnt they sorted it out. He never did the follow up on my meal. He messed up the tab and had to do a redo. Behind the counter clueless. Wont be a repeater.

You walk in to a diner style local burger spot with options nudging at locale like the Easthampton or Amherst burger. Classic burger - fry - shake place thats filling with just one, so go with friends and share for a full meal. Comes out pretty quick. You can have your burger a little pink, but make sure you splurge a little on toppings and sauces because the plain burger is not seasoned super well. Good atmosphere in a nice town, if you visit Northhampton I would go here. And then next time try Jakes.

Great burgers and fries! I know they have more than that but thats all I ever get here. Personally I go for the grass fed and at toppings as I desire on that particular day. Their fries are pretty good too. Pro tip: order the small if its just yourself + one, theyll likely be enough unless youre REALLY hungry. My coworkers swear the chicken fingers and my daughter loves their hotdogs. Warning: they get realty busy at lunchtime, so either order a head or be prepared to wait.

We got a recommendation from a local store clerk, since where out of towners. He told us if you want a good burger to go to local burgers, he also suggested the mac n cheese bites. I have to say Im glad we took his advice. The food was great we got our food to go but there wasnt outrageous lines. The staff was friendly the place was clean. We were all very happy with our food. I was actually impressed with the whole downtown area, reminds me of Portsmouth nh

Always.a must visit while visiting UMASS . Great burgers especially Westhampton Burger. Fries are tasty.. Third time here is a charm. No problem getting a seat and great overall customer service. Lots of college students visit Local Burger because prices are very reasonable. Remember its a local place thats small and you eat out of plastic baskets. Great for me. Give it a try if your a burger person, you wont be disappointed

Great place if you know what to expect. Local burger prepares from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and is great for anyone looking for a delicious lunch or dinner. Dont come here for the ambiance or a upscale experience. Instead, come for the delicious burgers (My favorite is the Westhampton!), tasty fries, and unlimited drink refills. My one suggestion, I would like if they put in WiFi

Theyre heartbreaking; the pickle itself is okay, but what brings the whole thing down is the cornmeal batter (which basically just tastes like cornmeal and flakes right off of the pickle). The onion rings are great which makes the substandard nature of the fried pickles even more of a mystery. Wish Id ordered something else. If you want good fried pickles, head to Amherst Brewing Company.

Love this place. Eating here introduced me poutine, so far Ive only had the dish one other time and I think locally Local Burger does it best. Gravy is kinda thin and it could use more cheese curds but the flavor is amazing. And of course they have a great burger menu, all locally grown ingredients, overall perfect place to grab a bite in Northampton.

I found this place whilst working in the Springfield area. I first visited this place on my own. The following week I brought a colleague with me. Both experiences were wonderful. This little place has fantastic burgers and delicious onion rings. The quality that they use is excellent. I wish there was a place like this near where I live in Jersey.

Great burgers, vegetarian options, and fries but tends to run out of gluten free buns which we didnt learn til after standing 20 minutes in line. If all of us cannot eat, then none of us eat and we went across the street for fantastic, creative Asian fusion and sushi at Zen where they accommodated serious food aversions deliciously.
