Plastic packets of hot mustard is always the sign for not eating at a Chinese restaurant. This guy Alex must be the guy that works there seeing as it is his only post and in my opinion the food is less than stellar. The crab rangoons advertised on a banner outside the restaurant are just cream cheese, no crab or anything else, you get a bunch for three dollars and they are crispy but they tasted like the oil they were fried in could have been changed sooner. I also sampled the shrimp with lobster sauce and I have had better, its not that it was bad but it just didnt pop, just average at best. Chicken wings were big, good and crispy but not much flavor, boneless ribs are ok to good, fried rice is just rice with nothing else added to it. To "AISHIN" the single reviewer on CitySearch that says that the General Gaus is the best he has ever had, I say it is the worst I have ever had, soggy panko breaded chicken nuggets sitting in a mildly hot sweet and sour syrup with steamed onions on top, awful. Prices are the best thing going here, combo plates are about 4 bucks for an entrée plus rice but add an app and its gonna cost 2 to 3 dollars more but thats still cheaper than other places. Atmosphere is cozy, parking is non existent, actually there are 5 spots, but that doesnt matter because there are three lots within a hundred feet of the place. Two thumbs up for using dark meat in the chicken teriyaki skewers. A little hole in the wall place I have wanted to try for a while, I finally did after reading some reviews on the place, too bad those reviews turned out to be bogus.

I live in Milford, Massachusetts and Ive always had a strong fond of Chinese cuisine. My friends highly recommended that I check out the Golden House Chinese Restaurant at Milford, which was a couple blocks away from my house. So I decided to go there instead of going to the usual Chinese restaurant I have been eating at for a year now, just to test how great this Golden House Chinese Restaurant really is. Let me just get right to the point of my review. Right after I ate at Golden House Restaurant and headed back home, I felt COMPLETELY SATISFIED. Here are the positive attributes of the restaurant: + Comfortable atmosphere + Great service + Kind employees + Best prices! + Of course, great food! + Oh yes, I enjoyed their crab rangoons! Ever since, I have been going to Golden House Restaurant more often than before. A MUST GO!

Love this place! Truly a little hidden jewel...I have never been disappointed with a meal here and I have been going to them for decades. Best crab rangoons ever! Prices are very reasonable and other food is also really good! Menu has a nice variety so you can easily find something to satisfy everyone.

Not what my roommate and I expected at all. his sweet and sour pork was just breaded pork with sweet and sour sauce poorly poured over it. my general gsau was the same story. breaded chicken with sauce very poorly poured over, yea its cheap but its not worth it if the quality of food is that low

Some of the worst Chinese food Ive ever had! As a previous reviewer stated, its breaded chicken with some gross sauce poured over it. Crab rangoons are just cream cheese. The rice and "general gaus" chicken had a chemical smell and taste to it. I would not recommend this place.

This is my favorite Chinese place in Milford. I think the food is always delicious and the price is wonderful. Their Crab Rangoon are my personal favorite and I have never had a bad meal. The woman who runs the front counter is very nice and professional.
