We waited several weeks to go to this new diner so that they could get all of the kinks out. We went for an early dinner, to avoid the dinner rush. Service was fine except for the fact that our waitress brought my husbands food about 5 minutes before she brought mine! When he wasnt eating his food (he was being polite and waiting for me), she asked him if there was anything else she could get him. He explained that he was waiting for me to have my food and she seemed unphased by this. The food was ok and was kind of expensive. $4.95 for 2 pancakes, with no sides isnt a good deal. The pancakes were good, the $2.95 side of home fries not so good. My husbands chicken fried steak was good, but his potatoes and carrots were nothing special at all. I think we will try this place again for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee some afternoon, but I wouldnt eat a meal here again. Too expensive for less than average food. UPDATE on 7/26/2010: We decided to give this place another try. Same results. Our waitress was perfectly pleasant, but totally unable to multi-task. It took well over 25 minutes for our cinnamon raisin french toast and corned beef on rye to arrive. (Diner was not busy) The corned beef was ok, french fries ok, but the cole slaw was disgusting. The $6.95 cinnamon raisin french toast was honestly nothing more than 4 slices of Pepperidge Farm bread cut in the middle. There was nothing else on the plate, not a dollop of butter not a slice of cantaloupe or anything. We came away again feeling like we had wasted our time and our money. I honestly dont understand the positive reviews this place gets. Im normally not one to be skeptical, but I wonder if the positive reviews are from people who are affiliated with the diner. I think all this place has going for it is location. If you live in this area, your choices are very limited. But as we sat waiting for our food last night, it occurred to us that we could have driven to a restaurant that was further away and still had our food before we had it at the Miss Mendon. Please, dont waste your money here. Please.

The Mendon/Uxbridge area really needs more good restaurants and more variety. This is a great step in the right direction. Im surprised by the bad or even average reviews below. We went on Friday before dinner rush - family of five. The staff couldnt have been any more friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was perfect. Its really well done down to the juke boxes on the tables that my kids loved feeding quarters into and picking their favorite songs. They even played a beach boys song. The mahogany wood trim and white tile along with the blue vinyl booths are terrific, this looks like something right out of happy days. The food was outstanding. My son had ham n eggs with toast, my wife an amazing BLT on fresh bread, and I had a really fresh salad with grilled Tuna steak. Very clean, very good service, excellent atmosphere, and great food makes this a good value. Were heading back today for breakfast!

I went to Miss Mendon last Saturday, 1/23/10. While I understand that this restaurant had just opened in the weeks before, I have to say that my partner and I were very disappointed. While the decor is that of a 50s diner, and very clean, I might add, the short order cooks (two men) were extremely slow. I overheard a number of people complaining to the waitstaff about the wait. The average wait time once seated seemed to be about 45 mins. There was also a line waiting to get in; once the tables were unoccupied, the busboy was EXTREMELY slow in getting the tables turned over for the next occupants. My partner was not happy with the food either, I thought it was fine. Kevin...please go in there on a busy Saturday or Sunday and see whats going on!!

I had my college graduation party in May. I absolutely loved the cozy comfort of the "Imperial Room". Jacki was the woman that I coordinated with and she was so absolutely friendly. Chef Jen limanekI made some incredible steak tips that one of my cousins couldnt stop talking about (hes from Boston and says they were the best steak tips hes ever had, and man does he love steak). I enjoyed the setting of the room because it was classy and cozy! The food was amazing and my guests made sure they left behind no left overs! Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed myself the night of my Grad Party. Do your events here! Sending big thanks my way to Jacki, the staff and Chef Jen :D

I was disappointed in the diner. I had 2 blueberry pancakes and it was $4.99 for the plain pancakes and a dollar more if it had blueberries. That makes 2 pancakes $5.99. Quite pricey. Also they didnt have crisp edge like I like and were a little gummy. My friend had eggs benedict and specifically asked for eggs not to run. They arrived jiggling. She sent them back and when the next plate of them came one still was jiggly. They didnt have decaf ice coffee and caffeine gives me a reaction. To sum up, I was anxious to go there for nothing.

I love diners and this one has a nice atmosphere. The food however is very hit or miss. Blueberry pancakes are consistently doughy and undercooked. Bacon is good, coffee is good. A tuna melt with onion rings was delicious. A BBQ beef sandwich with round French fries was inedible due to the toughness of the beef and strange flavored BBQ sauce. This is all in a span of 6 months with repeat visits. My husband likes the food better than I do, so I keep going back with him.

The Miss Mendon Diner is one of our go-to spots when we want a quick bite to eat. They serve breakfast all day and even offer gluten free toast! They have a wide variety on their menu from milkshakes to sandwiches to specials that have included Prime Rib. We really like the breakfast options and the Lemon Meringue Pie. They also have a few ready to grab meals such as salads and sandwiches and full pies, in case you need some sweets.

The waitress screwed up my order, didnt offer to make it right and was not attentive at all. The food was non discript. I ordered the meat loaf but got a meatloaf sandwich which consisted of a thin slice of meatloaf on top of 2 peices of bread, mashed pot. on top with onion strings, a side of french FRIES!! and coleslaw. For the price a fast food restaurant would have been much better. I do not recommend this place at all!!!!!!

Service needs a lot of work, didnt get to try the food, cause didnt even get greeted at the door, waited at host stand for 20 min, once the host appeared she greeted the locals and took them to get seated even though they were not on front of the line, then disappeared again, I waited for another 10 min then said -"the hell with this! " and left the establishment. Very disappointed!
