Whatt to like about Tripoli Bakery! Lawrence is the original location of Tripolis Bakery, thought its not in the best of areas it was also open almost a century ago when times were a little different. If your looking for some fresh bread or tasty Italian treats look no further, Tripolis has a great selection of almost anything your looking for. My personal favorite of Tripolis is their pizza. In my personal opinion they have the best pizza around, theirs nothing like it, its square slices with sauce thats on the sweeter side and the crust is thin and crispy. They cook their pizzas buy laying the dough on large baking sheets then covering it with a thin layer of sauce. They then place it in the oven for a few mins, then take it out to layer it with a thin layer of cheese and place it back in the oven for another few mins while the cheese melts. I would recommend Tripolis Bakery to anyone looking for some great Italian pastries or amazing pizza.

I only gave 4 stars because...I ordered cake pops for a party I was having and was so excited to know Tripolis made them to order. They were a little expensive but if they were as good as their other pastry it would be worth it. I was very disappointed in how they looked. I told them I wanted cake pops shaped like basketballs. They were not round they had flat bottoms. They were more of a cupcake with a stick in it. However, they tasted absolutely amazing. I couldnt use them in a vase like I had wanted but they tasted good. I didnt get exactly what I wanted but I will continue buying my pastry here. Their treats are delicious

Great pizza and a great local atmosphere, Tripolis is a unique pizza experience. With a sweeter sauce unlike what I was used to, it ended up being something I really enjoyed. Pizza is sold by the slice, so you can tailor your order to the number of people you are serving. I hope you like cheese because thats the number one choice at Tripolis. Definitely worth a try for a classic Lawrence feel, if youre still hungry after your pizza, check out the bakery right next store, classic Italian pastries featuring made-the-way-you-like-them, to die for canolis.

Very disappointed with this bakery. I ordered a cake, paid $159 and the colors were wrong the details were wrong the cake was damaged in the back, I tried contacting someone and the lady that did the cake (Yanette) and no one was willing to take responsibility for the cake. Its disappointing that this place is very irresponsible and unprofessional. I really thought different until this experience. You would think they would take responsibility for their work, but be careful...they dont care about customer satisfaction, very disappointed.

I dont enjoy the pizza, although it is the stuff of legends among some people I know. The store is not the most pleasant place to be in the world and could use some much needed renovations. They really need to find a way to deliver. The bakery is okay, but not great. I could go on, but you get how I feel about this place.

the prizes and the quality of the cakes are ridiculous. Cookies barely have any flavor, and the only cake I used to like was the strawberry shortcake until someone told me they dont wash the strawberries and they even use the spoiled ones :( Nasty

I bought in the past and the pastry was good. Bought again two Bismark and two "mille feuille" and this time they were dry and had bad taste.... Think that they were to old to be sold or the baker was "in vacation"... Pay attention when buying...

Service at the pizza side leaves something to be desired. Although they have a posted working hours, I went there and they close half hour earlier than what is posted. Pizza is great if you can get any.
