Went out for breakfast with my husband and 2 children. It was kind of busy. My husband ordered 3 eggs over easy with homes ride and toast w/ side of sausage and a xoffe w/milk. And I ordered the same but my eggs were scrambled i asked for a extra plate so I can share with the baby. When the drinks we ordered &were brought back the waitress gave my husband cream and failed to tell us. So i brought it to her attention nicely. And was given the milk... Then our food came out every thing was ok could have been better but no biggie. Waitress handed us our bill. $35.63 I guess they charge you xtra to feed your child on a SIDE plate . there is no note of this on any menu. I you are planning on comming here & feeding your child on a extra plate you WILL BE charged $4. Never will i ever eat or recommend this place to anyone who has children

This dump was recommended to us for breakfast... My husband and I ordered eggs, toast and hash browns, it took 30 minutes to get our food after asking the owner how much longer it would take. The owner was very rude and said its coming out now, 10 more minutes went by, meanwhile people that came in after us were getting served. The owner finally brought us our food which was very disappointing, very bland!! She never said sorry or came back to check on us. She did come over and throw our check on the table. This was the worst place I have ever had breakfast, over priced, owner is rude to say the least. Dont bother wasting your time or money. If you want to wait forever for breakfast and be treated like second class citizens this is the place to go!

Toast is a very interesting restaurant aesthetically. Care went into decorating it. The woman who "greeted" us was so indifferent and unwelcoming I would dare to call her rude. She treated us and other guests as though we were an inconvenience. Even though they have at least three separate signs stating its a Cell Phone Free location, she looked at her phone with her back to the restaurant the entire time. The man who waited on us did his job, but offered nothing more. In the service industry its polite to smile. My husband and I shared their Egg White omelette. It was a very nice portion for both of us (I couldnt even finish my half) and tasted wonderful. Everything seemed very fresh. They have fantastic drip coffee as well.

Went there with a friend to have breakfast. I have never been treated so rudely by an owner in my life !!! First, we wanted a seat by the window and were told we couldnt sit there and not very nicely but brushed that off. We ordered and it took over 45 minutes to get food and after eating and drinking coffee we were told by owner that we were taking up too much time and had to leave. I looked at my watch and we had been there only 1hr 15min. I have never been kicked out of a restaurant before, I was humiliated!! Its funny cause they have a sign on the wall that says "If your in a hurry, this is the wrong place to be!" Dont not go here, unless you want to be abused.

I came in last week on a Sunday morning, and found that the wait for a table was over 30 minutes. Once we were finally seated, we were cramped and didnt get any service for almost 10 MINUTES! The food was incredibly average at best and had nothing at all to offer. My omlete was as mediocre as they come, and my husbands pancakes were the same. We were cramped and could barely even maneuver to the door to escape. BAD PRICES for a decent meal at best. Deffinately not worth the wait.

When we came in we were warmly welcomed and the staff just kept getting nicer from there. Exceedingly helpful to us as to what to do and see in the off season. Very friendly and wanted to help us in any way possible. Food was delicious and didnt take long at all to come to us. Serving size was plenty enough for us for our late breakfast. We ate immediately once food was served so my photos are missing a bite or two. Absolutely wonderful time here, would recommend.

Three out of four slices of toast were tasty, one burnt. The rest of breakfast was poorly cooked eggs and hashbrowns from a bag. I may be picky about coffee, but this was some of the worst coffee Ive tasted in a long time. The waitress mumbled an unpleasant warning at me when I sat down, was unfriendly and brusque the entire time, and demanding when I paid. All in all, a very upsetting breakfast. I was surprised it seems so popular.

My boyfriend and I were in town for valentines day and waited here for breakfast. The hostess was so incredibly rude to everyone waiting in line that we left after letting her know how ridiculous she was being. The funny thing was it wasnt even busy. If I were the owner I would highly recommend assessing the attitude of the hostess. We were disappointed we wasted time waiting in line.

this place is the bees knees people!! the food is always fresh as the waves, which are just a stones throw across the street. the eggs are always cooked perfectly, and the pancakes just taste like love. sure, you need to wait for a seat sometimes but its just because everyone knows that Steve cooks up the sweetest breakfast around!!!!!

The food was pretty good. The service was great. When we got there we were alone, but when we left every table was full, so get there early if you want a seat (we went at about 7:30 on a Saturday). Our server (Rae An, I think?) was very nice, accommodating for our kids, and helped out with the menu. We will return.

If you have 2 hours to spare for breakfast its the place to go!!! The owner is toast and should probably learn customer service. The atmosphere is very uncomfortable. The food is actually very good but the cooking staff can only cook one ticket at a time. So if you have time try to avoid TOAST!!!

We love Toast! They make a great Huevos Rancheros and one of the only places on the South Shore that makes Hash Browns, which are great. Nice, cozy place across the street from the beach so most tables have a view if you want it. Havent had anything bad here but the wait can be long.

Great spot! Like others have said, not fast food. But worth the wait. Great eggs, delicious hash browns, fantastic toast variety. The salmon and cream cheese omelette is high protein and delicious. If youre in the area and looking for breakfast, this is the place.
