If my cat crapped in his bowl, Id rather eat that. The kids split a hamburger, my wife had a salad, and I had the ribs: $65! Before addressing the poor quality of the food, lets compare prices. One town south you have Fireflys, we normally get out of there for $43, Outback typically costs us about $50 for the family, the Korean BBQ in Westboro (both places) we can get out of there with the whole family for $47, Japanese, even that is cheaper. Not price wise. Regarding the service, it was very sluggish, Id even say it sucks. The waitress was extremely unattentive, forgot food items ordered, did not inquire if we wanted refills. Regarding the food, let me quote my daughter, "I wouldnt go back unless I was starving and about to die." The hamburger was overcooked, the sauteed onions unimaginably boring, flavorless; the ribs were grossly sweet, like, slather on a bag of sugar sweet; oh yeah, and the buffalo wings were horrible, being doused with half a bottle of Tabasco they were inedible by the kids and wife (I love Tabasco, can drink it straight, but the wings were pretty lame, about the worst I ever had). The salad was good, but at the $8+ price for a small house salad, I thought it was very over priced; it should have sold for $4. All in all, this place sucks; I think the ratings below are probably written by workers at the restaurant, so dont listen to them. If you want better food, go buy some Purina.

after exploring Hudson Ma on the web, we thought the reviews looked great, after all the Phantom Gourmet had been and the clip from their show was there for you to see. We arrived at opening on a Sunday and was seated right away. All of our mouths were watering to try the delicious food that the Phantom had boasted about. After looking at the menu and not being able to find all of the foods mentioned, we asked our waitress. Sorry, we dont have that menu anymore. Are you kidding?? They were not even willing to bend with the menu either- the potato skins come on 3-way platter with fried pickles etc. cannot get potato skins alone, only on the combo platter. ok, we finally order and we get our appetizers 30 minutes later. the nachos were cold, the cheese not melted. when the food arrived we were totally disappointed. the bill 128.00 for lousy service and food. I guess they dont take the Phantom Gourmet ad off so that people will see it and come. false advertising!!!!

I normally would give the Horse Shoe in Hudson 5 stars but they are slipping. The last few times we have been (Summer 2015) the service and food have been declining. I mentioned it to the Server today and she seemed a but embarrassed. She had to fix 2 of our food items (cooks fault) and we did not send the 3rd back. She said she mentioned it to the Manager but the manager never showed at our table. I let the sever know I dont blame her at all and still gave her a 25% tip. It is my belief that a manager should show up and offer to discuss our experience if the Server has to mention issues to them. I often even ask to the manager to tell them the food or the service was excellent. I hope they get it together because it is one of our favorite places to go. If not, it will be off our list of choices.

It is only getting one star due to the fact that zero is not an option. Went there with a large group (80+), were the first seated(about 15min before the rest of the group arrived), ordered beverages and an appetizer. The drinks arrived, then the group. Appetizer was delivered to wrong table and they accepted it. After an hour I spoke with the management after seeing multiple others being served prior to us, she stated she was sorry and that we could no longer get that appetizer. We finally placed our order after an hour with the promise of prompt turn around. People bagan to receive their bills and leaving. We still have not received our meals 1.75 hours later. We left. End of review.

I recently was in the Hudson area and decided to try the horseshoe pub, we arrived and were seated promptly, our waitress seemed a little out of it and was kind of wierding me out. She got the food orders right and I thought that the food came out excellent however when it came time to get the check our waitress disappeared and we had to go track down another server to help us get our check, she was able to find our waitress who subsequently rang in the wrong items a couple times until the manager had to come and fix the issue. Overall I liked the horseshoe pub, good food, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, just that wierdo waitress that was a little scary and could have been on drugs

Been here a few times for work related lunches. Very large selection of beers and ciders on tap. Food comes in huge portions and is reasonably priced. They have a pretty big food menu so everyone should be able to find something. Food is good but nothing to write home about. The desserts are MASSIVE. Theyll bring around a tray of all of the difference choices you have. Each dessert can easily be split among four people. If you get there early there is a very nice patio for nice weather days. Service is average, though a little on the slow side. If you have some time for a longer meal and want to sample a few different desserts, this is one of your best choices for the area.

Just want to warn you away if youre looking for good food and good service. Okay, the ribs were too sweet, the wings were way tooo hot, the burger was overcooked and the service was marginal. I found the menu uninspiring, very heavy food and ordered a salad, which had extremely salty feta cheese on it, dont know why. Feta is salty but this was over the top. The beer my husband ordered was on the small side and it tasted so bad he didnt finish it. All and all for what you got it was overpriced and underwhelming. We left half the food on our plates. I cant believe the high ratings that are listed below where did those people eat? Oh, by the way the atmosphere is loud too.

Beer!! Best beer selection in the area by a long shot. I always try to sample something new. Usually end up stumbling out of the place and have to hand my wife the keys. Great selection of pub food. Ordering can be a challenge for the health conscious but its possible. Always featuring new specials. We love to sit in the bar area to watch sports and watch the people. The bar tenders and wait staff in the bar area are always accommodating, professional, and friendly. The dining room is pretty boring and sitting upstairs makes you feel like youve been forgotten by the wait staff. Wish they would expand the bar so they could add more tables and more beer taps!

Well my girlfriend and I wanted a new place to try and well were unimpressed especially after all the great reviews. Our food was interesting, my burger had a funky taste and was dry and my girlfriend had the big bird sandwich that had a huge piece of cartilage throughout the sandwich . Our french fries looked and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. We didnt finish half of our meal and we still got charged for our food but we didnt really make an effort in complaining to management, we just wanted out. Our waitress who was very nice said there was a new chef that was on last night but still that shouldnt be an exception and sadly we wont be coming back.
