I have been coming here so much my I have a pewter mug. Enough about me. Year round staple on island. When you walk in you can see and feel the history. It looks like they havent changed much since open. Beer is a good selection for the about eight they have on tap. Food is not bad pub fare. We usually get some soup and fish and chips. Durning the season I feel like there are better places to eat but off season when most places are not open the fire is always roaring and welcoming.

The beer is really big if you order a tall so thats was fun to see :0 The outside seating was very peaceful in late August so I would recommend that. As for the food- I bought the surf and turf and was a little disappointed that they cut the steak up for me and still me a steak knife. They gave me 5 small shrimp. Overall it was a nice place but I would order something different.

Ive been coming here for years and years, and finding good pub comfort food in downtown Edgartown never gets old. Really like everything here -- and a bag of fries is always a popular appetizer here to share. Beer list isnt anything to write home about, and theyre often out of a couple options, but youre coming here mainly for the food and the atmosphere. One of my favorites.

We spent the week of Thanksgiving, 2016 at The Captain Morse house and were at The Newes From America Pub... almost every night! Great food, amazing atmosphere and it made you feel like you were somewhere out of a story book. Good luck collecting your "tokens".

Great food including the fish and chips and the clam chowder; however, the clam chowder is only an appetizer and I wish they had offered a bigger serving because its so amazing!
