I would actually give this restaurant 3.5 stars, but rounding up for good measure. We were quickly seated around 5:30pm on Saturday. The restaurant is definitely a sports pub and it was nice and lively because of the Bruins playoff game. Our waitress came over and quickly had an attitude when we asked what the "rotating craft beer" was (which the menu encourages you to ask your server). She said that there were a lot and she didnt know off hand because worked so infrequently. Which would have been fine if she went to ask someone but instead gave off such an attitude and didnt offer to find out what they had. She was very unpleasant to deal with when ordering and when giving the menus back. This is why its 3.5 stars solely because of service. The food was pretty good. I was pleased with my chicken carbonara flatbread pizza and my husband was pleased with his buffalo Mac and cheese. Instead of being cut up and blended the chicken tenders were on top. Great portions, great prices. All in all, if youre nearby this is a good spot for food and sports and you should stop by (hopefully you get a different waiter or waitress!!). Definitely not worth going out of your way for though.

Got there at midnight, an hour before they were supposed to close. Ordered a beer. 10 minutes later, glass was empty. After waiting another 15 minutes waiting while the bartender was more concerned with closing and visiting with the other staff than she was with providing me service, I finally asked for another beer. She then informed that they were now closed at 12:25. Im okay with waiting to close early because Im the only in there, but let me know so I can at least make it somewhere else before it gets too late. Been a long day and wanted to at least have a couple of beers, not a one and done when the beer stores are closed. Plus I would just expect the common courtesy after tipping $2 on a beer. Seems that it might be good during the day. But definitely pick another bar if youre wanting evening cocktails. Too many other good bars in town that operate on the hours that they advertise.

A mainstay on South Bostons westside for over 15 years, this bar and grill continues to evolve with the growing neighborhood around it. The centrally located bar in the middle of the restaurant makes for a great anchor to the crowds that flow in and out of the establishment. Whether you want to watch football on Sundays or go out with friends on a Saturday night, this place is always full of energy and buzz. They even have live bands once a week. Their best bartender, Chris, works Sunday nights and is full of unique drink ideas. As far as food goes, they have a broad menu encompassing everything from Country Fried Chicken & Steak Tips to Shephards Pie & Bangers Mash and Beans. All of which taste amazing and are worth every penny. Its speaks volumes that this bar has continued to remain so successful in spite of all the other bars popping up around it. Great menu & service go a long way!!

Great place! Nice atmosphere, comfy bar stools, high tops in the open-air windows and huge booths! Many beers and wines as well as a full bar and everyone is very friendly! Prices are still great compared to some of the newer restaurants coming in and the food is better! Huge salad selection for those that like to eat healthy - I love the Buffalo Chicken Salad ($10.99) - the chicken is very tender, probably the best Ive had! Nice variety of entrees all under $16.99 (steak) - most in the $11-12 range. Fun trivia nights, DJ, great crowd! Nice to go out for drinks, dinner and entertainment without breaking the bank!

For some reason I always forget about Shenanagans Irish Pub whenever my friends and I are debating on where to go if we dont feel like crossing the W. Broadway bridge. Shenanagans has really good food, its never overpack unless its extreme cases like Reggae night on Fridays (which I highly recommend) and St. Patricks Day. Other than those events, the bar and dining experience is laid back. They serve brunch, lunch, dinner, got plenty of tvs, and of course theyve got the booze. I just cant pin point why I dont come here more often.

The location is good, and it is nice to sit in the open windows that face the street. The food is ok. The service is not terrific. The table next to us spilled a pint of beer on the floor and no one ever bothered to clean it up. When we left we informed our waitress about the spill and she indicated that she already knew about it, yet no one bothered to clean it. In general, the wait staff dont pay much attention to you.

Love this place and hard to beat when it comes to variety of food offerings and quality! Fun bar scene after work and on weekends. Love the trivia nights and checked out brunch here for the first time just recently- it did not disappoint! Love taking people here when they visit, I know theyll find something they like and everything is reasonably priced

Stopped in for lunch and had the Shenannigans chicken sandwich and I was so satisfied. It was huge and on a nice big bun. The chicken was juicy and the homemade dressing was on point. Overall experience was great. I will come here again if Im ever in the area!

Waited half an hour for someone to notice my friend and I. Another 10 minutes for someone ask if we wanted to order. Another 5 with no drinks in sight seeing all the wait staff standing around and chatting up the customers. Go next door if you want a drink.

Good pub food at a good price. Decent good craft beer selection on tap. Gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights with lines out the door to get in for the DJs, but any other time you can usually sit right down. Occasionally service can be slow.

Very good food and great atmosphere. My only complaint is how loud it is on friday nights with the live music, too small of a place for the volume of music.

Great food. Fast friendly service. No pressure to rush you out the door. Even limited off street parking. Pretty rare for Southie. Highly recommended.

Breakfast burrito came out quickly and really hit the spot. Free WiFi helped finish up some work while I eased into a Guinness and my Saturday afternoon!

Good place for pub food. Cheaper than a lot of food in the area. Typically go a few times a month. The irish pasta is great.

Funnest late night place in southie for a lively crowd. Great alternative to the less relaxed bars down the street.

Awful experience, the service was really bad, every staff member was angry with their job. The food was just meh

If you dont like a local dive bar, then dont go here. I happen to do, so it was a good stop for a beer.
