I was here tonight joining a group of friends. When I joined them a friend told me "we couldnt get a server so just order at the bar... I have a tab open". At the bar it took 5 minutes to get somebodys attention. The first person I talked to said "I cant take orders Im sorry" then proceeded to work without finding somebody that could help me. I managed to get the attention of the bar tender so I could get a drink and prime rib. I mentioned that I am with a party and it was on one tab. I pointed to the group I was with and he seemed annoyed "umm.... no I need a last name" So I gave a last name and he was unable to locate the tab. I tried a name of another person in the group and he could not find that either. He seemed more annoyed so I started my own tab. 10 mins after returning to my seat a manager informed me that they were out of prime rib and whatever I order off the menu plus the drink would be on them... I was happy with this and ordered curry chicken. The chicken was goo but a small portion for the price. I went to cash out and spent another 5 minutes to get my card back. Neither the dish nor the drink were removed from my tab but I knew it would take another 5 minutes to rectify this... possibly more if he had to get a manager. I paid my tab an left as I had to be somewhere soon and could not afford to be late.

My friends, my boyfriend etc my entire circle love this bar - we go to it a lot. Unfortunately one of my good friends had her expensive (Helly Hansen, and North Face) coats stolen TWO times. In addition - another friend had her $400 North Face stolen there too. Ironically, we knew the situation going in, and tried to check our coats, however at 10:15 the coat check was FULL (tiny coat check). When we were trying to rectify the situation the manager was NO HELP. He didnt even call the cops - and we had to call them ourselves. To top it off other customers approached us claiming their coats were stolen too. I dont understand what is going on at this bar - inside operation or what - but the fact that the same girl gets her coat stolen twice two years in a row and TWO girls I know get their coats stolen in addition to strangers who I dont even know. worst part is we spend 100s there and the manager did NOTHING. I highly recommend avoiding this place - unless you want your jacket stolen and no one who works there to care or help you.

Im hoping it just happened to be the time I landed there, but this place was a favorite. The beer was ok, although a little higher priced than some other locations in town. The cover band I saw was actually amazing - they alone would get 5 stars. The band was super into the crowd and were all about singing things from every era. They were really excellent, although I never got their name. But the clientele - UGH! By the time my friends and I arrived around 11 half the place was already wasted. Girls were literally throwing themselves at guys - one even knocked someone over at her exuberant drunken lunge. And lets not even talk about the ridiculous dancing that was more like having sex on the dance floor. So many people were disgusted by these three couples we kept giving them more space to get away from it all. Not great. I brought three foreigners with me for their first night out in Boston and they were scandalized. Maybe this place is better on a game day - but 11pm on a Friday was not fun!

I have the chicken pot pie and my brother had the basic burger. We enjoyed our meal and the soda bread was really good but the pot pie was extra puffy and didnt have any crust on the sides or bottom of the dish. They had a few things for under $10 for entrees, but most of it was closer to $20. Really good environment as well as kind and thoughtful staff. Have to be 21+ to get in because its a pub/restaurant so its not good to bring a family, but besides that really nice place. Oh and also I went on May 3, 2014

First time here. Walked in on a Sunday sox/yanks game around 530pm... super packed and was ready to walk out and go somewhere else but the manager (chris) stopped us, found us comfy seats, assisted us in ordering right away then removed an appetizer from our bill when he realized we ordered something off the menu that we accidentally thought was something else. Great prices, Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!!! Thanks Chris and Landsdowne Pub for an amazing and delicious experience!

I went to Landsdowne Pub for a friends going away party on a Saturday night. There was a live band (Midnight Goggles) so there was a $5 cover. The place was packed and dancing incurred to cover songs from the 80-90s and current pop songs. The bar was still easy to get to for drinks but food was a no go after 9pm. If you are looking to sing along and dance with live music, Lansdowne hits the spot.

If I lived nearby, this would be my favorite local hang out spot. The Pub has awesome atmosphere. They have bands come in regularly and they do fun events. I work with them for a lot of small private events and they are always a pleasure to work with. They have a terrific private room with a fireplace and its own bar. Their food is great too. I have only good things to say about the Pub!

Not sure why this place is only 3.5 stars, but then again, I only go in after 11 on the weekends. Regardless, Lansdowne has become one of my new favorite spots in Boston. Live music is great, the absolutely drunken crowd is great, and its always packed. Drink prices are Fenway expected. And with that Im actually heading out the door to Lansdowne within the next few minutes. Cheers!

Had to wait 30 minutes outside for a table when empty tables were visible. 15 minutes to have drink order taken. 20 minutes to bother another waitress for delivery of the drinks. Food took another 30 minutes. They did give us first round of drinks complimentary, but did not justify everything. We were a group of 8, not a huge crowd for a location so near the ballpark.

Fun spot to go with a crowd. I try to abstain from places that charge cover but will occasionally make an exception for Landsdowne Pub. Have gone to a few birthday party outings here and always had a good time. Draws good bands, can be crowded but fun. Decent beer selection. A good spot to have some brews around Fenway!

great atmosphere throughout the bar. there is 2 different section, one section at the main bar where they normally have extremely good cover bands with a dance floor infront of the band. there is also another bar where they have more of a night club set up with dance and dubstep tunes, overall very good.

I came for $1 oysters on Wednesday. Oysters is fresh but a bit small. Its $1, and you get what you pay for. We ordered chips and drinks. Chips are crispy and delicious. Staff is very friendly. The manager came to our table and made sure we had a good time. A nice local restaurant. Will come back again.
