Oh, Courtside. You truly are the diviest of dives. You are what I both love and hate about Boston. And youre right here in a random part of East Cambridge which happens to be close to my office! Lucky me. Everything from the gruff bouncer checking IDs outside to the duct tape-laden booths a just screams cheap and grime. And youll have a great time if you just keep this in mind (and keep buying those cheap pitchers of PBR). Ive tasted the food once. Mostly sober. And I wouldnt do it again. Pretty sure the pizza and chicken tenders had been frozen. Just stick with the dranks, son. Karaoke time! Grab a song book, write your selection and name on a slip of paper, give it to the guy by the stage, and just wait for the magic to happen. The song choices arent super extensive (barely any country music, lots of random British bands), but youll surely find just the right tune to belt out. The bar and large room can get pretty packed on Friday nights, but dont let the large audience deter you from singing your heart out! Theyre all probably just as drunk as you are anyway. If youre lucky, people will sing along. Or start a conga line which snakes all around the bar. Its happened.

Courtside is an unpretentious karaoke bar. Patrons tend to show up there in groups, and some of them do seem to drink alot. Some of the singing is very bad, people with little skill screaming their lungs out like theyre Bon Jovi. Seriously I use earplugs for them. Some of the singers are very good. The karaoke equipment setup is old skool. Cant plug in iPod or USB. The KJs (Scott, Jim) are competent and seem fair. The place seems to do a pretty good business. The $3 beers are nice. The waitstaff are nice. They have food, but I havent tried it, probably so-so. No cover fee.

A dive bar with a great location, sports on the TVs, pitchers of well priced beer, food, karaoke and Mark the Shark! Whats not like about the place? Now I looked at other reviews... Its a dive bar... Up the street they have drinks 3 times the amount and will kiss your ass. Go there instead... Please. Seriously, if someones rude to you, its probably because your either acting like an ass, come off as one or just are a self important whiney assh*le that mama told was special too many times... Childish reviews... Wish I could comment

Rudest bartender i have ever encoutered. I feel as though he wasnt even trying to make money. I being a visitor to your establishment as well as your city would expect better decorum and hospitality from a bartender. so far from a city that i was suppose to feel completely uncomfortable because of the supposed racist issues, this is the first place that has made me angry and upset. it feels even worst cause the bartender was also a person of color as well. i hope to never step foot in this establishment ever again.

Loved it. Came on a Monday for a quick bite and a beer. Turns out Monday was 25 cent wing day until 7pm, and man they were good wings. Had a "Texas Club Burger" which was basically a traditional 3 layer club sandwich with a cheeseburger instead of turkey. It was great, and the battered fries were just as good. Probably some of the best value for food that Ive experienced in my time in Cambridge. Oh, and they have free pizza during Monday Night Football games. tl;dr: Great Pub food, great prices, great place.

I love dive bars and this place has this title written all over it. I am a member of the Kier Byrnes Freedom Runners that run out of Courtside every Tuesday night at 7:15pm. They supply us with plenty of water before and after our 2-8 mile run and beer is a token following with the bonus of free pizza! The bartenders are funny and laid back. The back room is huge and known for corn hole tourneys and karaoke. You cant go wrong with the cheap prices and dive experience.

This place is nothing to look at, but it is a great time. It reminds me of a VFW hall. The waitress is quick. The drinks are cheap and not strong. The karaoke selection is pretty vast. You can search by title or artist or specialty. There are enough books to go around for everyone. The crowd is friendly and supportive. The DJ is fair and makes sure people get a chance to sing. Its a fun time. Im definitely going back.

From 2003-2008 it was a great karaoke place, but the last 2 times I went the sound equipment was terrible and it was too many graduate students singing Billy Joel and Journey covers. I guess it got too popular????

Only place in east cambridge for after work grub + beer. Bartenders are awesome, half price apps most nights until 7, free pizza during monday night football. And karaoke!
