There is one place I like to get eggplant and ricotta pizza and this place WAS it. The sweet sauce complimented the eggplant and ricotta quite well. Yet, the last time I went to get it, I was turned away. Their sign states they are open until 9 p.m. so I was relieved to find it was only 8:49 (according to cellphone satellite) when I entered and found a couple groups of people eating their pizzas. I waited a couple minutes as no one was behind the counter. When he returned, he rather rudely announced that they were closed. Disappointed, I went back to my car. I looked at my phone and it was only 8:55. Whatever. I went to Neapoli Cafe and Pizzeria on Rantoul Street who was more than happy to fill my order; eggplant and ricotta. YUM! Yet, not being a spiteful person, I decided to give Little Italy another shot. It was Sunday night at 8:45. I know, I was cutting close again, so I decided to call ahead. I got the answering machine. I called again. The same result. Knowing they were still open, and being really hungry, I became annoyed (and yes, maybe a little spiteful this time) and called repeatedly. Finally, someone answered and pretended to be a machine stating they were closed and hung up. So, I will never go back... unless it is to speak with the owner about changing the sign on the door which states their hours of operation correctly reflect their true hours to 8:45 (8:30?).

This is by far the most disgusting example of pizza I have ever had the displeasure to eat.. It tasted like someone had dropped the sugar bowl in the sauce. Really cannot understand why anyone would think this was edible let alone good. I paid $34 to have two pizzas delivered . There were three people eagerly waiting and a total of three pieces partially eaten.. the rest went to the dump. This is a pizza with a message and the message is ... BEWARE

It is sweet sauce, if you do not like sweet sauce, dont bother going and then writing a negative review. Some people love this place, some people hate this place, it all rests on the personal preference for sauce. I for one love this pizza. Just a small little pizza shop with a few booths if you decide to eat in. I recommend trying it if you never have, you may just find you new taste in pizza. They have beer also, plus one star.

Im from Salem, which is the next city over and I honestly cant remember when I first tried Little Italy, but it is the best pizza Ive ever had. Everyone jokes about the sauce containing cocaine. I bring all my friends and no matter what their first impression is they all end up having cravings and pretty much begging me to go back with them.

If you grew up in Beverly, you grew up eating Little Italy pizza. That sweet sauce is addictive, and I havent been able to replicate it anywhere else (as much as Ive tried!). Theyve changed the recipe over the years, so the crust is not as great as I remember, but that sauce is still the best.

I took my son here last summer. I didnt know that they have a very sweet tomato sauce. I had made a Facebook post saying I was disappointed and they responded to my post asking me to give it another try and request traditional sauce. Great customer service.

The price is very good for the quality and taste if their pizzas. Their sauce is very sweet and soo delicious ! Highly recommend the Fenway Park Pizza . The breadsticks there are also very good! Customer service is excellent as well

I ordered a pizza from this place and they just never showed up. Never called or anything. Then it was too late for me to order from some one else. So rude. Definitely dont order from here. Order from Beverly House of Pizza.

a staple in beverly. pizza of champions. it was iconic when i was growing up in town and 15years later it still is. pleasantly surprised they have stayed true to their unique take on pizza. i love this place.

Love Little Italy. Grew up eating here and enjoy the sweet sauce they use over other pizza places. Im fortunate to have a pizza place near me now with good pizza, but this place still has the best hands down.
