I cant even give this a one star rating although this site made me. I see most of the reviews are Dec. 2009 and before with the exception of one in June 2010. My husband and I used to go here years ago and used to love it. Well, we went this past weekend and it was a minus 10 in my book. The salad they brought out had brown lettuce with a few okay tomatoes thrown on. They should be ashamed for serving it! I had to send it back after telling the waitress how disgusting it looked. She offered me another one but said they were pre-made. I told her if they were all like this to forget it. The chicken parm was nothing to write home about either. My husband had the vegetable lasagna which looked like they microwaved it and then let it sit awhile. We will never go there again. DISGUSTING!!!! Also, no fish sandwich on the menu, yet they have a side of fried haddock and bulkie rolls for hamburgers...youd think they could put them together with a side of tartar sauce to make one!!

Its unfortunate Im forced to give this "restaurant" even one star. The service was less than desirable as the waitress needs to look up hospitality bc it simply didnt exist. I ordered baked scallops and although they only offer fries on the menu I was able to get instant mashed. The scallops were each coated in a soggy breeding, soaking in a puddle of what they called butter, some were actually raw and they smelled off. I had it replaced with a steak that had no seasoning on it what so ever and was cooked poorly and tasted old and like it had been put through the microwave. I wouldnt return if my meal was free.

Good Food
Awesome food! Matt the bartender is like superman behind the bar- hes a great guy who consistently gives speedy and quality bar service. The food at the lunch is very good. I have never had an issue with the wait staff- and have always been served promptly. I would recommend this place to anyone, its got great service and food for fair prices.

Park Lunch is OK. I had overcooked zuti, bland sauce and ok meatballs. The salad had inedible tomatoes and head lettuce. The sparkling seltzer was excellent. This place is very popular with the town folks but I truly doubt that much, in any, is prepared in house. It smacks of Sisco Foods. The air conditioning, on the 90+ day was marvelous.

Park Lunch is a delightful diner in the outskirts of downtown Newburyport. Those of you looking for traditional comfort food should certainly check it out. This is certainly a place to go to experience a traditional eatery with a typical interior, good service and serious home cooking. Recommended by Enjoy Food & Travel.

This is a great local haunt. The place is very cosy, a small dining room and bar area. They have a selection of beers on tap and decent prices too. The food came out hit and delicious, the specials are a great value. I would recommend this place if you like the town pub kinda of feel and chill atmosphere.

Ive been going to the Park Lunch for as long as I can remember. Its definitely a very local place, usually you can find a bunch of notable people from all over town in there on any given night. I highly recommend the fish, especially the baked haddock, fried clams and the chowders.

Went there last week wanted some of their awesome clams. Waitresses were to busy chatting to wait on us. We walked out after several minutes of being ignored. Mike, get some new waitress

Waitressing skills suck. Better for take-out. Theyd just rather talk with one another instead of take care of the paying patrons. I guess most of them dont mind shi**y tips.

The Park Lunch is the place to go for fried seafood, baked haddock, and decent bar pizza. Also, drink prices are as much as half compared to the rest of Newburyport.

A locally loved pub, but a pub by all accounts. Good burgers, decent service, and a very "hometown" feel to it. Parking is tight!
