This is a great neighborhood place if you feel like getting totally dominated. Cheap beer, cheap food which is surprisingly good, and wicked friendly bartenders. They just built an outdoor patio equipped with flat screen tvs so you can bring your drinks out there and smoke your Marb reds all at the same time while watching Brandon Spikes lay the hammer on another unsuspecting victim. All walks of life seem to stumble through those doors so you never have any idea what in your for when you walk down those four steps into the Cellar Tavern. If your looking for a casual late night drink from Thursday-Sunday, fuggedaboutit, the patrons in this place only know one speed so you and that floozy you call a date will end up sprinting out of there mortified with a brand new outlook on life and a few more dance moves to add to your repetoire. Wedneday Night is trivia night and country night, if you dont know the answer to the question, yelling out random things wont work so dont even try it, doesnt matter how loud you yell, the answer is still wrong you got it? Friday and Saturday nights they got DJs in there and the place gets turned upside down. Theres one patron who hasnt been sober since 08 who routinely takes his shirt off and hops around like he owns the place; dancin, jukin, and jivin till hes knees give out, thats no joke either! Theres also a pack of the craziest chicks youll ever meet in your life that roam around this joint. Im talkin certifiably crazy. Theyre in there at least 4-5 times a week chuggin car bombs and puttin guys to shame, you cant miss them. Ive even seen this one unstable broad break her nose and dance around with an ice pack on her face all night, Dont believe me? I got the pictures to prove it. These chicks are not to be taken lightly... This place has 2$ bud light drafts to start you off and 3.50$ cape codders to put you in another dimension. This place has almost a mythical status, some people believe it doesnt even exist and some people have never even made it out of there so go at your own peril... oh yea, it has big buck hunter too. bitches!

The cellar is definitely named very appropriately; it is a smaller sized bar/pub placed pretty much underground, just like a cellar is!! :-) It is right in the center of Abington by the railroad tracks, and is definitely a cool local place to go & meet up with a few friends for pizzas and beers. Their prices are very much fair, and actually pretty damn cheap. They have great cheap barroom style pizzas and draft beers...I would definitely recommend either their buffalo chicken pizza, the greek salad with grilled chicken on top, or even just a cheese pizza cooked crispy. Whether you call ahead for takeout or eat there, you definitely will not find a cheaper bar pizza that tastes as good. They have live entertainment on certain nights; either a band plays, or even sometimes a dj. It is definitely a fun place to go, but it is a bit on the louder side, as are a lot of small local bars. But the cellar definitely has a special vibe to it that makes it uniquely better than most local pubs...Maybe its the tasty cheap priced menu, or the fun time youll have drinking while listening to some good music with friends, also DO NOT let me spare the fact that they have the most friendly staff. There are a couple of girls & one guy that have all served me. They are all very nice & friendly bartenders with great attitudes & very speedy service. Also the guy that guards the door is a nice guy too...So whether you order takeout or eat there, you are guaranteed to have a really good meal, and you wont burn a hole in your pocket either...

Great little spot except I ordered a pizza since I wasnt extremely hungry. It was on special so I figured I could take the rest home for later plus it was our first time and been wanting to try it for awhile. Well the pizza I was told was a dine in only special... Meaning I had to eat it all there. My husband and I have over 20 years in the business and have never seen this before. I understand if I ordered 10 pizzas but my husband ordered and ate two appetizers and we both had two or three beers. Im assuming the deal was abused in the past but limiting it to one pizza per person or something would be better. It was just a shame that food was wasted while there are starving people out there. It will be awhile until I think of returning for this reason and the way the bartender treated me when I asked to wrap it up.

I just moved to Abington and found this little gem through word of mouth. This place was just redone (inside & outside) and loaded with HD T.Vs! The bartenders are friendly, food is excellent, prices are right and the company is enjoyable. My friends and I stop over there to grab dinner and enjoy live entertainment at least once/month. Theres a DJ on the weekends which is perfect for girls night!

I got a sandwich wrap and a few drinks. Food was really good. Fresh crisp lettuce not all wilted with actual bacon, not bits. The bartenders; the guy just kinda looked right over me, but the blonde girl was great! Depending on the night some really good specials too!!

Towne dive bar. Cheap beers, decent grub. Music is to loud for such a small place and there isnt enough space for the patrons that want to and are dancing. It gets a bit crowded due to how small it is.

I have gone to the Cellar now for two years and I have never had a bad experience. Friendly and competent wait staff, full kitchen with good food and great prices. I always have fun.
