I have lived in Towson for 3 years. I love Chinese food. I have ordered take out from China Wok @ 714 York Road a couple of times. The first time: they said it would take 15 minutes and I ended up waiting over 45 minutes for them to make two take out dinners. The food was below average, but I thought Id give them another shot. The second time: A few months after the "first time", I went in and ordered two meals, both take out. I specifically asked them not to include pork in the rice, and they said "no problem". I took the meal home, a meal that cost $25 -- relatively high for your run of the mill Chinese take out joint. When I got home I realized that there was pork in not only the rice, but in the noodles, in the chicken, in the vegetables, etc. I thought Id try to choke it down anyway because I was VERY hungry. That was the worst meal of my life. The meat was cold, the rice was dry and the egg roll was a lump of greasy dough. Ill never buy food from this place again. Please, to avoid misery on your end, refrain from buying your take out from this place.

Im new to Towson, and while the service is decent and Ive never had to wait long for my food, China Wok Towson features some pretty terrible American Chinese food. The dumplings are overly doughy, clumsily put together, and irregular in shape and size. House dumplings are a staple of any Chinese restaurant, and generally indicative of the chefs skill level and quality of the food in general. The eggrolls here are soggy and flavorless, unless you count grease as a flavor. I have found many of the dishes here to be overly seasoned with sugar instead of the proper spices, and I make this comment with the knowledge that this is American Chinese food and supposed to be sweeter. It is my opinion after visiting several times that the food here is prepared without care and with poor quality ingredients. I give two stars for service, no stars for the food. I also give no stars for the price. Everything on the menu here is $1-$3 too expensive for food of this quality. Do not recommend.

Ive been here 2 times now in the past week and I must say, the food here is very good. Since moving to Towson 2 months ago, I have been searching for a Chinese Restaurant that had great food. I tried 3 other locations based on referrals before trying China Wok, but the other places just didnt do it for me. The food here tastes fresh and homemade, not the frozen box type stuff that some of the others serve. I read some of the previous reviews before going here and I was hesitant, but I found out they recently changed ownership a couple of months ago. I would recommend giving China Wok a try if you havent been here in a while. I gave them 5 stars because their food is excellent, theyre very friendly, very fast, and conveniently located. Again, give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

Ordered online and email said delivery would be in 45 minutes. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes I called and was told that they could not deliver to me unless I waited another 45 minutes for special delivery. That was absurd and I chose to go and get the food instead. They offer free delivery over $10, yet online they charged me for delivery. When got home and finally had a chance to eat almost 2 hours later from ordering food was warm and not hot. The food was ok. Stay away unless you chose to pickup, even then maybe look elsewhere.

So I never leave a rating for anything. But I just had to this time. I called in my order, person on the phone was rude. After 45 minutes I received my delivery. My egg roll tasted like they havent changed the oil In 2 years. It was greasy and had a bad after taste. My general tso chicken also lacked in flavor. I was very disappointed, and wish I could get my money back. But Ill take the loss. They will not get my money ever again. Worst Chinese food I have ever had.

This place was awesome. Food was amazing and they have a huge vegetarian menu. Food was delicious and the staff was super nice. They accommodated our large party of 8 at we were passing the city. They even allowed us to use their staff bathroom since we had been traveling for so long. I will definitely eat here again when we pass through town

Delivery was fast and thumpy , it seems to be the delivery guy fell down and got back up again , my food was terrible and I will never order here again , and I might never order Chinese food ever again ! I now haft to go to the drugstore to go get Pepsi bismol , thank you ! It ok

I didnt get the same problem as Dan and Pat. They delivered my food at a fairly timely manner and the food is quiet good. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but i think this is probably the best out of all Chinese restaurant i have found in Towson region. so far.

Food was relatively bland but arrived fast without any mistakes. I also needed to change my delivery order after it had been placed and they were willing and able to do it without any problem. Also have a decent vegetarian menu with many vegan options. Would try it again

My roommate and I order from China Wok probably 1-2 times a week; each and every time the food has been great, along with a fast and efficient delivery. I have never had a problem, after eating the food, if you know what I mean. I would for sure recommend China Wok.

Literally the best Chinese take out I have ever had. the sweet and sour chicken combo plate is my late night go to and I tend end up coming here at least once a week. and on top of everything else the staff is always so friendly!!
