In the past Ive been to Smashburgers that make their burgers more tasty and a bit warmer, but this is still a solid location with a classic Smash experience. Great and attentive staff. Their location is in the ground floor of Galavan Apartments in front of Rockville Pike and a very short walk to Twinbrook Metro. As always, its a bit more expensive than your typical burger joint but the food is still great! Youll get a better value at Five Guys down the street, but Smash has shakes and sometimes I just crave a Smashburger once in awhile. I also like the row of seating by the window so you can watch cars drive by on Rockville Pike. This place is slowly becoming more crowded on peak hours as more discover the location. (More noisy kids around unfortunately but thats unavoidable.) Theres some free parking spaces out in front, but if thats full, I recommend taking advantage of Safeways free 2 hour parking in their parking garage and walking through the front of Safeway to get to Smashburger thats next door to just avoid the street parking hassle altogether.

On Sunday(June 18) I went to this location to pick up lunch and had to wait about 5 minutes before someone in the back decided that maybe they should see if there was a customer. The employee seemed annoyed that he had to deal with someone ordering food and even managed to mess up my simple to go order(directly from the menu, no changes). I let it slide because I figured Sunday they didnt have their "A team" working. Today, June 19, I gave them another try. I say try because no one seemed to be working at 3 in the afternoon. After waiting quite some time(enough time for a couple to finish a meal in the restaurant) I decided to leave. Its a shame because the burgers are great and I live 3 blocks away but Ill have to go to a different location because no one wants to work at this one. Im sure losing one customer isnt a big deal to the manager here but Im sure Im not the only one who has given up on this location. Good luck if you are hungry or in a hurry. Id recommend anywhere else than here.

I ordered a Create your own CRISPY CHICKEN, the patty was not good, may be it was fried to hardest, not worth the $. I did not try anything else so will try and update. But I should say the service was BEST. Not sure if the kitchen was clean. When you have a concept of open kitchen, I believe the cook/chef should make sure that some on eis watching them, one of the person, i believe on fries section had her head scratched twice, she was wearing gloves and cap, the other guy probably who was working on the grill, was not wearing cap, had lose hairs. All I am trying to say is I noticed these things. just fyi... I had no hairs in my food. Crispy chicken is No!No!No! Hope you enjoy yours :)

Ive ordered online ahead of time 4 times in the past few weeks and 3 of those times the orders have had something missing or wrong. Twice they didnt provide the milkshakes and drinks we ordered, once they made a couple of the burgers wrong. Most recently we ordered a a number of drinks, we attempted to take the time to check the order before leaving but the woman hurried us along insisting she had checked everything, when we got home we found they hadnt included any of the drinks we ordered. We did call and received a refund, its just a shame since the burgers are great, they just need to get the service right.

The restaurant is clean and organized. The people are friendly and on task. Proper Smash Burger introductions were used. The employees made sure no trash was on my table. The establishment itself is pleasing to look at. It is a fairly pricey establishment, especially for the serving size. There is an option to "big" your burger. I am a six foot tall male and the "big" option wasnt anything more than a small sandwich. On the other hand the Swiss mushroom burger i ordered tastes phenomenal. Wonderful establishment, kind people, slightly expensive, small portions, and absolutely tasty.

Young staff and apparently they are there just to kill hours and get paid. I went with my family and the food came out at different times. My 3 kids were waiting the longest (more than 15 minutes) to get their plain cheese burgers while my wife and myself got our burgers less than 10 minutes from ordering. We gave half of or food to the kids, while we were trying to get the attention from one of the waiters but nothing he just was walking up and down and even if you said Excuse Me they just keep walking.

It would have been 5 stars if my burger wasnt overcooked. Next time Ill order it medium rare. Otherwise, I was really pleased with my experience. The bun was nicely toasted with butter, the toppings were fresh and the perfect amount. Too often, the bbq sauce is either barely there or its a drippy mess. But they nailed it! Also the flavor of the burger was good, I imagine if it was medium rare, it would have been spectacular. Ill be back to give Smashburger a second chance.

Ok this us by far the best Smashburger in VMD area. The staff is extremely helpful and amazing. The manager George took care of us. I loved the black bean burger and omg you have to try the smashfries...it is always fresh..hot and yummy....they also do serve beer in this location which my bf loves to have with the burgers. We are a regular and drive 15 to 20 mins to get there since the Bethesda location closed....but we prefer this location over Bethesda anyways.

Very good hamburgers, nice service. Very good quality for the price you pay. Although being some kind of fast food place, the hamburgers are tasty and look like being made from quality meat. The place is nice, even cozy I would say. You order and pay, and then they serve you the food at the table, which is a nice difference from other fast food places. Smash fries are good, with garlic and species I think, worth ordering it!

The food is on par with other stores, but the maintenance of the store needs attention at times. The last time I was there the garbage cans were full so patrons were leaving their trays and garbage on the tables, and they took a bit to get cleaned up. That said, the service is average, but its a great location and definitely worth trying if you havent been to a Smashburger.

Top notch service from staff. The staff was friendly, inviting, and helpful. They definitely went above and beyond with costumer service. The burgers and shakes were delicious. I highly recommend eating here if your looking for a quick bite. It was refreshing to see staff who were taking such pride in their consumer service.

Part of the trend towards slightly upmarket fast food chains, this is another gourmet burger place. Tasty shakes and malts, tasty burgers, and hot, salty, tasty fries. Order at the counter and take number, they bring to your table. Staff at this one are always cheerful and friendly to my children.

Good ambiance, Friendly staff. Parking can be a bit tight. I had a chicken sandwich here. The sandwich itself was a little small for almost 10 bucks. The meat was beaten flat to make look bigger (I have no idea how they managed to do that), but Ive never seen a chicken breast so thin. Taste was ok.
