Went to this ice cream shop after checking out the reviews. Everyone is correct about how friendly and engaging the staff is. They make it such a fun experience to be there as soon as you walk in the door. The owner of the shop goes out of his way to interact with his customers and ensures children have fun as they pick their ice cream flavor from the very tasty and original options that he makes himself. I had the chocolate birthday cake ice cream which was awesome. But that was after being encouraged to try a taste of as many flavors as we wanted, which included the cinnamon bun, chips ahoy, and a rice krispy treat ice cream that were all so good. As we left we thanked the owner for the amazing service and I told him I would be leaving a review about it as soon as I got home. This place is our new favorite ice cream spot!!

I did not even get past the front door. My family and I wanted to like the place, but upon arrival the line was snaked throughout the 10 square foot lobby (very small) and ended at the door. When we walked up to get in line, two other groups walked up behind us. The line was out the door. What I could only assume to be the owner yelled through the crowd and told me to "close the door unless I wanted to pay her air conditioning bill!" Astonished I returned, "Where would you like me to stand, the line is out the door?" She yelled back something about squeezing in while telling the customer she was waiting on that she "could just slap (me)!" I then turned around and walked out and will NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN! I just thought that you should know the kind of person that is serving you ice-cream.

I love this place. They give you that good family oriented, welcoming feel as soon as you walk in the door. The owner is such a friendly man, the kind that just makes you feel glad you talked to him, bc you always walk away with a smile. I remember the 1st time my ex husband and I came here. It was back in 2007 on a double date and they took our picture and hung it on the wall. (The walls are covered in customer photos, as well as albums to look at throughout the years). Well now I get to take our children in for a sundae n flip in the album and show them how years & years ago before they were born, how mommy & daddy went on a date there. And they think its pretty neat. This place restores that Mayberry feel in our town.♡♡♡♡

The Daily Scoop is what all other ice cream shops should aspire to be! Absolutely the best customer service of any place Ive ever been to. The gentleman who owns The Daily Scoop is often upfront serving customers with a huge, grandfatherly smile. It gives the whole place a very "mom-and-pop" kind of feel. Very friendly, upbeat, family-oriented atmosphere! The ice cream is handmade, I believe, and they have many custom flavors ("Smurf" is my FAVORITE!) Theres also a couple benches outside for customers who wish to have a seat while eating. Definitely a place to check out if youre in the area!

Great service, great flavors. Flavors change out as theyre emptied, basically daily. If you come in when the owner there, he will happily ferret out all your favorites and find at least 4 flavors to try that you will love. Other staff are friendly and enthusiastic and willing to err on the side of giving you too much rather than too little. If you have issues with dairy there are still some really delicious options (check out the strawberry lemonade Italian ice, its like the screwballs you got from the ice cream truck without the plastic cone or the bubble gum)

A few of our friends said this place was amazing, so we had to try it out. They were right! The owner and the rest of the staff were fun and very pleasant. We were able to try different flavors before deciding, but they were all so so good! My favorites were the black cherry and Italian ice cherry... With real cherries! And the key lime pie, and the bear tracks. It was all so delicious, we got some pints to take home. The shop itself doesnt have any tables, just a few chairs inside and two benches outside, but still totally worth it.

Incredible place!!! The best place ever to get ice cream hands down you will never find anywhere better for ice cream and customer service. I go here at least twice a week and every single time I go there I never have a bad experience the employees and owner are so friendly amazing with customers not to mention theyre chocolate ice cream is amazing the best Ive ever had the owner did an amazing job with the store its just a friendly environment

This place has everything necessary for a great ice cream experience: GREAT ice cream and great customer service (what more could you need); there are some benches outside to sit and enjoy the evening, but the line is usually pretty steady and seating is at a premium. Flavors are not the typical C, V & S - but instead the owner creates unique and tasty choices every day. I love this place.

The Ice Cream at DAILY SCOOP is amazing!! The flavors are original and very tasty and very fresh. The staff is very friendly and engaging. They make the whole experience a lot of fun. They are proud of their product and push you to try everything they offer. I think this is the best Ice Cream Ive ever had. Definately try the cinnamon bun and the toasted coconut, Soooo Yummmmy:)

This place seriously has the best ice cream on the planet. The owner, Michael, is very passionate about his work and he is a true craftsman. They have over 300 flavors that they cycle through, and some are quite unique (like pepper bacon and Old Bay). Theres always a line at the counter, but the ice cream is definitely worth the wait.

Great small buisness. The owner is very kind. Great homemade ice cream. He keeps some of the standards but also has some interesting flavors. I really like the apple pie ice cream. My wife and daughter love birthday cake. His ice cream cakes are the best, great for a party. Beautiful designs and very tasty.

great ice cream, great staff. The owner reminds me of Willy Wonka as he is passionate about his product and wants to make sure you love the flavor. We drive 20 miles to go there and its worth every one. If you are anywhere need mountain rd go there....go even if you arent close!

Incredible place! The owner is a sweet old man with a nice sense of humor and all the workers are young college kids and theyre all total sweethearts. The ice cream is phenomenal, made right there, and with a new rotation of cool flavors all the time! Highly recommend :)

My new fave over Ritas for a sweet icy treat. From rootbeer floats and milkshakes to decadent hot fudge sundaes... everything fantastic. Fresh waffle cone/bowls are crispy and delicious. Worth a drive if you arent near by, but if you are, you will LOVE it, DAILY!
