Love the new interior design. Food is great and actually different than the traditional fast casual Mexican flare because of things like pulled chicken and homemade tortillas. Love the queso. We have several friends who insist on eating here every time they visit because there is nothing like it close to them. We also have them cater two or three parties every year and our guests love the food while we are generally pretty happy with the work the store does getting everything ready and fixing minor errors. My only complaint is inconsistent friendliness of the staff and perhaps a lack of staffing or something that often causes the trash cans to overflow and other interior aspects of the restaurants to be a bit dirty feeling.

When ever Im in Olney I have to stop here. Food has always been consistent and super fresh. I love how their tacos have that flaky, but soft texture on the inside. The Barbacoa tacos, pork enchiladas, chips with queso and Horchata drink are a must. They renovated their dining area in February to make it look more modern. Dining room has more seating for larger parties. TVs on the side show how some ingredients are harvested, picked and farmed. I do like how you can order via phone app and pick up/ dine in. I definitely recommend ordering via the app to avoid the lines after 6. Theres plenty of parking in the front, food is reasonably priced and their dishes always taste fresh. Dont forget your student ID theres a discount off tacos!

Once again, theyre out of food, out of drinks, out of paper towels in the restroom, and the kitchen is a disgusting mess. As for the tacos... there is a reason we call this place Soggy Taco! By the time you get to your table, the tortilla is completely soaked through. There is no way that any of the staff can be proud of what theyre serving. I highly doubt they would ever serve this at home. The two redeeming factors are the fresh tortillas, and drink selection (limeades and horchata). That is until they run out, or when the dispensers are clogged, which is everytime. I keep giving them feedback, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. (Originally posted on Yelp)

LOVE Cafe Rio! My husband is a Type II diabetic, and hes able to eat well here without it impacting his blood sugar. Authentic food, reasonable prices, and a plethora of food. Would have gotten 5 stars prior to our visit yesterday. While standing in line, my husband (and those standing in line behind him) was made to wait while online orders were prepared...6 of them. If such a service is going to be so popular, it would be wise to have one employee solely dedicated to fulfilling those orders. In my 20+ years of working with the public, Ive always been taught that those customers in front of you should have priority.

While the food tastes amazing at Cafe Rio and we love the rewards program, the inconsistency of the staff here is enough to make them a 3-star location. Some servers provide generous helpings and add certain toppings without additional costs while other servers give terribly small portions and charge .25-1.00 for each additional topping. We have mentioned our disappointments to Cafe Rio in person and in the iPhone app before and have been told to simply accept it as a matter of business so we will most likely not return here again.

Horrible service, horrible experience. Chipotle has better service than this place. Even when you repeat an order over and over again the servers just dont care. Their job is to get you out of there ASAP and they make that obvious. If you want anything extra theyll charge you for it and give you barely any. Asked for cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream with my tacos. Take a look at the picture and see how much this place cares about its customers.

Wow! At first I used to think Chipotle was the best, then I discovered qdoba, thought they were the bomb. Now I have tasted cafe Rio and I am never going back! They make everything from scratch right there! Tortillas and everything. The food was so fresh, so good, so flavorful! And did I mention affordable!? I highly recommend this place to anyone who has tried chipotle, qdoba, Baja fresh etc. You will have your socks blown off for sure!

This Cafe Rio is so good. The food is exactly what youre expect if youve been to one and if you havent been to one, that just means its delicious. I recommend the sweet pork salad. Kids under 6 eat free. This particular location was remodeled a few years ago and has, to me, a much more appealing atmosphere than other Cafe Rio locations. Its also a very big dining room (especially compared to Germantown).

Cafe Rio is really great. Its a lot like Chipotle, where you order at the counter and move down the line picking and choosing what you want. I like that there are more options besides burritos. The food is delicious, fresh and cheap. The salad I get every time I go is very generously proportioned and Im pretty sure the tortilla shell in the bottom is the best Ive ever had.

Drove 40 minutes out of our way to get here. Love Cafe Rio and glad that we found one in Maryland. Juicy meats, great sauces, nice restaurant decor. I mean, definitely worth the try. If youre a foodie just looking to see some good restaurants around the area, just check this out, you really cant go wrong. My favorite dish is the barbacoa burrito, enchilada style.

Food is usually always pretty good. However every single time my daughter and I come in they mess up our order or forget something. Its almost a joke (but not really) now as to what they will forget when we we come in. It is usually my daughters cheese quesadilla meal. Usually leave frustrated but at least the food tastes good. Only reason we come.

I am a vegetarian and they always get my orders with meat, even though I order vegetarian versions of the meat foods. It is very upsetting and the money I pay goes to waste. They do it EVERY SINGLE TIME! The only thing that they game me vegetarian were sad, sad, salads. Very disappointing.

Be wary of people who give a horrible review and then promote another restaurant. Nonetheless, this place has fresh tortillas. Fresh tortillas are AWESOME!!! Great food, although I hate beans, wish they had a fajita style like their competition. Try the Mint Limeade. Thank me later!

First and last time I will ever eat here. I went in and said it was my first time and got no help. In fact I think they just tried to add onto my bill... food was subpar and if they claim fresh tortillas, they should not be coming out of a bag. Word to the wise... just go to Chipotle!

I love this place and its variety of fresh food they make. I like the selection of meats and sauces they use in their dishes. I also love the drinks bar and their 3 leches cake. One of my favorite things is the Special of the day because it gives you a chance to try something new.

Took 4 minutes to place a phone order, six tries for guy to get my phone number right. Nobody manning the pick up registers, as usual, so another 8 minutes waiting to pay. Got it home to my son and the order was completely wrong. No bueno. $12.00 down the drain.
