Update: Food preparation estimate is extremely poor and frustrating!!! Update: Food is excellent and reasonably priced. The only issue I would say is that I still experience times when no one picks up the phone. However, its definitely worth calling back. Weve ordered food from here 3 times. the first 2 times, the food was excellent, especially the chicken tikka biriyani. The 3rd time was very disappointing! the chicken tikka biriyani was flavorless and dry. Not so sure well be going back again. Update: the restaurant owner was kind enough to give us a free meal. The food has been pretty good since. However, it is frustrating when we call to order and the line goes to voicemail duting business hours.

This is filling Indian "comfort food". You can count on great flavor, high quality ingredients, generous portions, & personable and accurate customer service. The prices are very fair, especially for the quality. I love the well-spiced curries, and the naan that accompanies your meal is exceptional. As for heat, sometimes mild is closer to medium (in my opinion) so if youre not sure, Id suggest you err on the milder side until you get your own reading. Im also impressed that Khana continues to grow their menu (new shrimp tikka masala) and the meal options (substitute chickpeas or paneer for rice). Be forewarned: once you try Khana, youll be baaaaack! Its that good.

Khana Claypot Grille was a fabulous discovery with its bright cheerful welcoming ambiance and delicious food! We sampled three menu items: Paneer Masala, Lamb Biryani and Lamb Curry. All were served with a side of fragrant rice, naan and cool crisp cucumber and onion salad topped with rich creamy ranch yogurt style dressing. If we had not been fulfilled by the generous servings we would have allowed ourselves to order a second order of these items! We will definitely return again and again to experience the other menu options including vegetarian selections as well! The Khana team made us feel very welcome and their attention and service was stellar!

All the food was super fresh, the portions were perfect, and the naan was heaven. Id go back for the naan alone! I got mild chicken curry. I have low spice tolerance, and this was perfect. Rich, thick, flavorful curry without feeling the roof of my mouth dissolve from spiciness. In addition to the food being great, the ambience/look of the place is very clean and modern. The menus are easy to read, and laid out very well. I loved that there was color coding for chicken, beef/lamb, and veggie options! I can take my vegetarian friends here without worrying that they wont have clear options :) I definitely plan on coming back!

I havent been brave enough to try dishes like the lamb sliders or the biryani but the tikkas, and kebabs are the most succulent Ive had, hands down, period. Dont hesitate to pop by and grab a bite to eat. Prices are fair, food is full of flavor and comes as spicy as you like it to be. The owner (or so I assume him to be, older gentleman with the glasses and beard) Is warm and friendly. I like to come here for dinner when I just dont have time to do anything else as I cant seem to find a better deal for take out. Try the samosas theyre GARGANTUAN and packed full of flavor to boot.

The food here is pretty good-- for the most part. Chicken tikka masala and other entrees are delicious. There are several issues with this place though. So many times Ive had my call go to voicemail even during their business hours. Other times the food can take forever to get to you even though theyre never really busy. Lastly, certain items arent prepared well, such as the chicken biryani. Its not too flavorful and the chicken is WAY overcooked just because its been sitting around, not freshly prepared.

This is a gem of a restaurant in Burtonsville. The space itself was open and warm. The owners were very welcoming and chatted with us as we waited for our food. The large portions belied the upscale taste. The food was very authentic Indian cuisine and the prices were reasonable. Since our first visit we have been there a few times and will continue to stop by for the food and the atmosphere when we are in that area. If you like desserts you have to try their Gulab Jamun!

I ordered curry - tikka masala and it was sooooo good! I do like spicy food so I asked for a recommendation. I already knew extra spicy wasnt for me and although I thought about ordering spicy, in the end I ordered medium. Perfect! Spicy without being too hot. The naan was tasty and I really cant wait to go back. I may try something else but the tikka masala was so delicious I may have to just order that again.

Stop @ Khana for lunch with some friends from Burtonsville– very spacious restaurant with high ceilings which creates a very pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious I had the beef kabob; very good portion and it comes with rice and salad. The BREAD is to die for, I can eat the bread all day long. Will definitely stop there whenever I am in the area.

My fiance and I had the Tikka curry and the chicken biryani and it was delicious! I love their rice and naan, as well! The biryani portion was enough to share for two. Prices were very reasonable. Great space and I liked how organized their menu was. Definitely a place were going back to.

Tried this place recently with a friend. Loved it! The owner took the time to explain the entire menu! We appreciated that immensely as we had never eaten that majority of choices. The place was clean and tidy and the food was cooked quickly! Will be going back!

I LOVE Khana. The dining room is always very clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and courteous. And the food! Made fresh when you order. Never stale or over done. Overall one of my favorite places to swing in and grab a quick meal.

My wife and I start going here recently and weve been going back often. They have a lot of options and the service was good. The chef even came out to help us make a decision on what to order. The Salmon Curry is one of our favorites!

An awesome fusion restaurant with excellent masala fries. I usually order the chicken tikka wrap and am not disappointed. It has plenty of seating, clean restrooms, free wifi, and an open high-ceiling interior. Cool indeed.

The food is amazing, however, more than a few times Ive called to order, and they have their answering machine on during business hours. Its 7:48 p.m right now, and I cant get through to order dinner. Bad business practice.

My wife and I end up caving on our "lets not eat out" budget about once a week for this place. Weve had the paneer masala, chicken tikka masala, paneer saag, chicken korma, classic chicken and theyve all been excellent.

Ive eaten here twice for lunch. First time I got a lamb wrap and second the chicken tikka kabobs. This is good stuff. Relatively inexpensive but really good indian food. HIghly recommended.

Food is really good. Place clean. Very nice people. But veg biryani needs lot of improvemnet. Quantity is good but not much flavor. We will try after some time. Hope to see some improvement.
