Great location with outdoor patio. Perfect for "people watching" and being part of all the action going on at this strip of stores and restaurants. Its a great spot for a nice summer night out. Definitely would go back again if we didnt live 2 hours away! (Stopped on the way home from a vaca in VA) Food was good, nothing special but not bad either. Kids always eat free so that was nice because our bill for 2 adults and 2 kids (pub pretzel app, 2 adult burgers, 2 kids meals w/ drinks, 1 soda) was only $37. Yes, we took our kids and neither of them noticed or cared how the waitresses were dressed. We also go to Hooters with them. We dont get worked up abt that kind of stuff. If you are not comfortable taking your kids to a place where waitresses arent wearing much, dont go to Tilted Kilt. Our waitress was great, very attentive and friendly. Food came out fast and our drinks were always full. The only 2 complaints I have is that there was live music inside, 1 guy singing and playing guitar. It was SO loud that if the weather hadnt been nice enough to sit outside, we would have gone elsewhere to eat. It was more like being at a club volume than restaurant volume. Second complaint is that there was a waitress (who I think was off her shift but was in uniform) who spent most of the time sitting at the table next to us with a guy. It was obvious they knew each other, maybe it was her boyfriend, but she was overly "touchy feely" with him. I felt like that was a bad reflection on the restaurant that one of their waitresses was sitting there rubbing her hand up a customers leg and getting very close. Even if it was her boyfriend, not appropriate when you are in uniform, therefore representing the restaurant.

The beer selection is good but the food and service leave a lot to be desired. This past Friday in particular our party of five had a terrible experience during lunch time. Our beer took an average amount of time to arrive, but she gave us one of the wrong beers (forgivable). The restaurant wasnt that busy, but it took us an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. After thirty minutes, she came back to our table to tell us she gave away her order pad and needed to write everything down again (what?). Once our food finally came, my coworker asked where the salsa verde was (it was supposed to come with the order and was on the menu). Emily (I believe that was her name) went into the back to retrieve it then walked out into the main restaurant to flirt with other tables. Fifteen to twenty minutes later (his tacos were almost gone at this point), she brought him some cream pepper sauce which wasnt what he asked for at all. After that she brought him regular salsa that didnt look anything like verde. The entire time, she explained that her manager was the problem and mentioned we could probably hear her yelling in the back (we never heard anything). When my coworker tried to order the salsa a second time, our waitress explained that her manager would have to get it (is it kept under lock and key?). Long story short, skip this place. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

i find it funny how all the negative reviews are insecure woman complaining about the tilted kilt. IE lance. If youre so upset with the fact that your boyfriend cant control his wandering eyes you shouldnt take it out on the girls; take it to a counselor. Secondly I would like to comment that my girlfriend is one of those "skanks" and the funny thing is that i love the fact that she is a kilt girl. she has fun, and makes money. my advice is if you go there in hopes to get an amazing meal youre stupid. They have average sports bar food. If you go there to just have fun with some friends, have a few drinks and watch sports. Its the place to do so. if you take the time to talk to the girls; MOST you will find are actually intelligent and are just working through college trying to make ends meet like the rest of you. If you dont like the place or the idea of the place fine... youre entitled to your opinion. simply dont go. everyone else, i hope you enjoy my girlfriends boobies as much as I do!!!!

It was a Friday night and not too busy, I joined some friends who had gotten a table. Our server was absent most of the time and when she did come by she was either reaching too far across the table (I almost got elbowed in the face twice), focusing on the wrong thing (person with half empty drink instead of person with empty glass), or she was just giving excuses about everyone needing everything at once. Not only was the service pretty terrible the bathroom was a disaster. One friend came back from the bathroom and let the server know that the bathroom was flooded due to a clogged toilet, the server informed a man who threw a tantrum about the situation, 20 minutes later I proceeded to take a chance in the restroom and found that it was still flooded. The woman in the stall next to me flushed and immediately regretted that choice as the toilet over flowed pouring water everywhere. Luckily I made it out dry. This was my first time going to the tilted kilt and I will not be returning.

The service was okay, the appetizer (Irish Nachos) was okay, the burger and fries were great, and the beer was just okay. The staff gave us a bit of a hard time about using a coupon that Tilted Kilt email to me because it wasnt printed but eventually the manager agreed to let us use it. Nowhere on the coupon does it say it needs to be printed so Im not sure why they were being difficult about it. All in all it was decent. Most of the staff members were friendly but our server/bartender and the manager seemed to be in less than pleasant moods. The burger was the best weve had in quite a while from anywhere in Frederick so hopefully they continue to serve decent food. They really should work on showing more games on the TVS. They had the same 4 channels on all of the TVs despite a few guests asking that at least one TV be changed to a more desirable game. They also changed another game that quite a few people were watching to put on a different one so that was disappointing.

Not going to lie, I enjoy this place. As far as chains go, this one is pretty great. Now, it might be funny to think that a straight, married lady who doesnt care for sports really digs the Tilted Kilt, but I do. The food is good, the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is pretty nice as well. The music never sucks in my opinions and the staff as been nothing but nice. On evenings where my husband and I are not in the mood to drink, they have a few Red Bull mixers that nip that mixed-drink craving in the bud. I also find that the people who go there are pretty well behaved. We have not encountered screaming children running around. Even when sportsball season is around people never get too rowdy. However, it is a chain. The food isnt going to blow you away. When my husband and I are looking for something close by before or after seeing a movie, the Tilted Kilt is one of our more common picks in the area. We know we arent going to be disappointed.
