I had visited only in the evenings until today. I have always been 100% satisfied until todays visit, which was in the early afternoon on a holiday. The food was not bad, only slightly lacking in temperature. It was especially noticeable with the onion rings. (Which are normally fantastic by the way.) The main issue this time was the server. For example, the onion rings mentioned above were meant as an appetizer, yet were inexplicably put in with the main order, causing us to wait for an awfully long time before getting any food on the table. I dont know why the server assumed this. Also, the pizza was served without a serving spatula, and when asked, the server made a comment which was apparently meant to convey that it was not standard protocol to provide one. We also had to ask for hot peppers and grated cheese for the pizza, as we were not offered the option by the server. To sum it up, the server was just not "present." As I said at the beginning, my overall experiences on previous visits had been excellent, but I can see where other reviewers are coming from. This Hagerstown unit needs to do a little better when it comes to the hiring and training of the waitstaff.

The only reason I chose this place was because Crazy Horse closed. Not that CH was anything special but when in Hagerstown, not that many choices. As stated in other reviews, the service is a little slow. Not terrible. They are polite and accommodating. The sandwiches are based on the original restaurant in Pittsburgh. They have a selection of different things you can get on the sandwich and then they pile on lots of cole slaw and fries. I asked for the fries on the side. The fries and cole slaw were fine. I had steak in my sandwich. I cut it in half as it is a large sandwich. I ate the first half. It was decent. I was starting to get full so I picked apart the other half. That wasnt bright. When I saw what the steak looked like, I always went to the bathroom to get rid of the first half. There wasnt much of it. And it did not look very appetizing. Id pass. Where to go instead? Damned if I know. And I used to work in Hagerstown. You would think I could recommend something. Go to Frederick. There are better places there.

Waited 45 minutes for a table. Sat at bar while waiting. Servers were rude at bar. A person in our party was told she couldnt sit in chair that was at the bar because she was preventing servers from getting food. There was plenty of room for servers to get food. If they didnt want patrons sitting there why have a chair there. Finally get seated and go to order. Two in our party wanted Caesar salads. They were out of Romaine. What restaurant worthy of their reputation runs out of something as basic as romaine, for that matter any part of their menu on a Saturday afternoon. Sandwichs that rest of party got really werent anything special. This was our first time there and I can guarantee will be our last. Only bright and positive part of our experience was Joey our waiter. He was positive and smiling even though we were not happy with the wait for a table, other servers, bartenders and food quality or lack there of. Overrated in all aspects. Just another of what was a quality place ruined by franchising.

Went for lunch at the Hagerstown location , food was OK and wait staff were good (not great, but good). Went back for dinner and never even got to order. We asked the waitress for a bourbon menu but were told they didnt have one. We asked her what they had, her reply was "about everything". We asked about several different brands and she left to presumably ask someone, then she would return and politely answer "no" to each one. Finally we asked again, "what do you have?" Her response this time was "lots, what do you want?" We seemed to be at an impasse, we were not going to be able to order, and she was not going to find out the answer to our questions. We tried to be nice and tell her that we needed to know what was available so we could order, but to no avail. We left, without food, drinks, or a good feeling about the restaurant. BTW- from our lunch experience, pizza and Pitts-burger were OK, but dont get the fries!

My husband and I and another couple went to primanti bros last sat night. We ordered drinks first which took forever to come. The waitress kept saying how sorry she was that they were short handed. Well next we ordered two appetizers thank god. They took forever to come. Then finally we ordered the main course. In the meantime we have no utencils to eat with. Finally we get those. We wait and wait and wait and the waitress keeps saying nothing is coming out of the kitchen at the same time. Well three of us get our meals. My husband watches us eat. We also have to ask for refills on drinks we finish our meals and my husband never got his. The waitress comes by and says do you need anything. My husband says yes, his meal. She says, oh. He says just cancel it and she says ok. Unbelievable! We will NEVER go there again! We will also tell everyone we know.

We stopped by on a Saturday, around 2:30... we were put on a 30 - 45 minutes wait list. Which was ok, not in a hurry. Came back later to see 9 tables, not bused and hostesses chatting. When we showed them the empty tables, they acted surprised and clean them up and seated us. Server showed up 10 minutes later...??? We placed our order, with appetizer. Well the meal showed up first, we notified the server of the mistake and it took another 20 minutes, until we received our, "overcooked" appetizer. Needless to say, we were already done our meal. A weak apology was given by the server, NOT management, we left...not happy at all. We emailed the company and got the brush off from Stan Weinstein & Will Bowker, of Primanti Bros....REALLY ?? I think, we will visit the local Quiznos, the next time we want a deli style sandwich...

I have had good and bad experiences here. The beer selection is great, the late night appetizer menu is cheap and has generous portions, and the servers are always nice and accommodating. My bad experience was during lunch one day; it was not very busy (I think maybe the kitchen was understaffed) but our food took over a half hour and I ordered a salad with sliced steak and my dad ordered a burger. When my salad came out the steak was cold, and the fries in it were cold. My dads fries that came with his burger were also cold. I think our food had been sitting in the window in the kitchen, and no one was delivering it. We told our waitress of the issues and she heated up my steak and brought my dad new hot fries. I havent returned since, been about a month, but will most likely get a beer sometime soon.

We came in 5 minutes until 4p and Im assuming it was the middle of shift change, the bar tender grabbed us drinks and we didnt get acknowledged again for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile the guys beside us were giving her hell for either charging happy hour specials or not-- wasnt sure the issue but the manager needed to come over. Anyways, they were upset with her. However, there were plenty of wait staff and lots of other customers sitting around with drinks and no food. We got up and left, went to Tilted Kilt. Shame cause the foods pretty good with yall but you werent able to multi-task.
