Its nice having roaster in the local area. Unfortunately of the few Ive purchased there, they havent been outstanding. Im always leery of any roaster who doesnt put a roasting date on the package. Yeah yeah, you move so much merchandise its never on the shelf for more than a day. I also expect a roaster to be able to show off their coffee by having a nice coffee bar that has top notch equipment. Its a good thing they keep the espresso machine in the kitchen as its mediocre at best, which sums up the barista making your coffee too. Lack of education and training, little knowledge of beans and roasts, and thus far I havent tasted an exceptional roast. If you like coffee but dont "know" coffee, like to fill up your tankard of coffee in the morning, or need a supplier for the office Mr. Coffee machine, this is your best place in Frederick. Its a comfortable place and the people are very friendly so they have that going for them. If only they placed more focus on their equipment, training, and presentation of the art of coffee making...

Ordered an iced latte. Watched the barista open a Rubbermaid pitcher of espresso and pour it into the cup, along with some 2% milk. I lost my breath. After tasting it and almost falling over from shock, I asked if they pre-made their espresso. He said, "Yea, we do...." I replied "Oh." He said, "I know..." Anyone who even barely knows good coffee knows that espresso after 5 mins. standing out is bad. After hours in a fridge in a plastic container, jesus christ almighty. A coffee shop that cant even make fresh espresso for a latte is pathetic. 2 stars because the barista wasnt proud of what he did. Honestly, he should stand up to the owner or nincompoop whos protocol it is to pre-make espresso and tell him the grief its causing people.

I ordered a large chai, while others in my group ordered regular size coffees & hot chocolates, we all received the same size drinks, so Im pretty sure they werent paying great attention to our orders. Also, Im not sure about the coffee, but the chai & hot chocolates tasted like they were from pre-mix packets, & tasted watered down. Finally, the interior has a number of comfortable seating conversation areas, unfortunately they were all taken up by one person each, so we ended up sitting at a small table with metal folding chairs. So while weve had good experience there in the past, this visit wasnt worth the time or money. Perhaps your visit will be better.

The coffee tasted OK but it was tepid. I guess near closing time they dont make any more so whatevers in the urns goes cold. Or simply runs out -- 2 of them were empty. I might forgive these shortcomings but the vibe at this place was so unfriendly ... the staff seem like theyd rather not have customers coming in. Not a smile or a hello from anyone. Customer service is more pleasant at Jiffy Lube. There are many places to get a good cup of coffee so next time Im in Frederick I will surely go to one of them. Good points: couches, tasty pastry.

Love this place!!!!! Its my NEW favorite place to have coffee and meet friends. When all the other chain places have made you feel less welcome, Dublin above and beyond with creating places for you to just chill! And with free refills you cant go wrong. I only gave 4 because, well, its cold lol. But Im not sure how they will be able to help heat the place better. The zucchini chocolate muffins are a MUST try!

First time finding this place after failing at a few other places in town. Wish I would of found this place earlier in my stay. This is the place where you want to go to get coffee. Excellent atmosphere and an amazing selection of coffee (all great, you can sample the one you want). Staff is incredibly friendly and make you feel at home. Plenty of places to stretch out, relax, study, etc.

Seriously good cup of joe. Definitely a different feel than your typical chain coffee place. And by that, I mean better. Way better. The staff there...well, its just nice to be served by someone who has a vested interest in your experience being a good one. I was just passing through on business, but if I am back in this area I will definitely visit again.

Always friendly artistic atmosphere and great music when you catch love performances! Coffe and yea drinks are tasty and roasted/brewed on location but not always hot. A friendly reminder to staff to make sure your beverage is the temperature you like is worth it! Always good pastry and sandwich selections and comfy furniture to chill on.

Love this place. Organic coffee. Homey atmosphere. Real friendly staff. Local made items for sale. Spring/summer farmers market. Coffee roasted on the premises. Right now only has bakery items & a few pre~made sandwiches, but I believe they are working on getting food on premises in future. Sometimes live entertainment, too.

They had me at coffee ice cubes! Anyway, the owner ground coffee for me once, and the next time I returned, she remembered the EXACT kind of coffee I like to brew at home! Also, the $1 discount for bringing in your own cup is just plain awesome. And finally, they are right next door to my favorite Doctors! Nice work, all!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Frederick. They have good coffee, tea, and bagels as well as a huge collection of art and accessories for sale. Great atmosphere and therapy dog friendly. On some weekends there is live music, and there are a ton of really nice people that work here. Highly recommend! :-)

Large, comfortable room to hang out in. The passion fruit iced tea is awesome, and the turnovers are great. Lots of neat handmade doodads for sale, and they often feature good live music, farmers markets, crafters, etc. A comfortable, welcoming place to be. I dont drink coffee! But I hear its great, too.

The do a fantastic job roasting coffee. I particularly love the Highlanders Grog, and the Volt Blend, and I like many others. I like the facility, with the comfy couches or the outdoor seating on a nice day. The ladies who own it and so far, everyone who works there is friendly and give great service.

This place is awesome. 1st time in and they made us feel at home. My wife and I had a quick lunch. The latte my wife had was delicious. I had the holiday blend coffee. Their coffee makes me think Star..who? Love the decor too, very home loke with arm chairs and comfy couches.

Wonderful relaxing place to stop on the way back to DC after a weekend at Cunningham Falls State Park. We especially enjoyed the covered outdoor seating. Thanks for letting us borrow silverware and plates for my friends birthday pie from Catoctin Mountain Orchard!

Good coffee. I love their "pay it forward" wall! You can buy something for someone in the future and put a little note on the wall and others can use it to get things :D Nice people who work here too, and a good place to get a nice afternoon coffee.

What an amazing place to have some quality coffee. Everything is super fresh. I found the prices to be quite reasonable and the food especially the pastries were delicious. Theres even a meeting room if needed.
