I was enjoying dinner with my family when 3 flies entered my plate. Perhaps they found the "stuffed" flounder more appealing than I did. First of all, the flounder was a very small fillet, and the stuffing was just mounded on top of the fish with an ice cream scoop. Then once the flies decided they wanted to consume in some of the fish eating experience. I expressed my disgust to the server and the manager and the both acted like they didnt want to take back the plate. The manager said he could not replace my meal and hesitated on removing the price of meal from the check. It was not until my family complained in unison. He reluctantly took away my plate. As a chef most importantly in the service industry I will never understand the perception of the notion of people not understanding that customer is always and I mean always right.

I went to Traders this evening for a dinner by myself. I was seated immediately in a booth, as I requested. The servers name was Ashley, and she came right to my table and took my drink order of unsweetened iced tea. The tea was fresh and very refreshing. I ordered cream of crab soup, the Queen Prime Rib, done medium-rare, baked potato and side salad with French dressing. The soup was very hot and tasted very good, with the appropriate Old Bay Seasoning on top. The prime rib was done to perfection and the baked potato was hot, fluffy and not at all done too well. I have been to Traders many times before and will definitely return again and again. I cant speak highly enough about Ashley. She is young and very attentive and caring.

Menu is way to big, but the food is decent for pub type food. The steak and cheese is pretty good. Seafood platters are a mixed bag. The one thing that would have really made a difference on my visit would have been better service. The waiter was just bad. We were sitting near the door and we mostly saw him when he went outside to smoke. Seriously dude- wash your hands when you come back in before you come to the table. It would be great if the restaurant invested in servers that 1) were professionals and 2) had any enthusiam at all for the menu.

I have been coming to Chesapeake beach for over ten years and I used to love this place. It is DIRTY now and the food is sub par. The floors in the dining room are greasy (I mean your feet slide around as you walk) and the bathrooms smell like vomit, flies throughout the restaurant. Some food is for sure microwaved...kids Mac cheese, vegetables, who knows what else. All they seem to focus on now are the slots and the bar. Too bad....used to be my Sunday dinner every weekend in the summer on the way home from the beach...no more though

I have been to this restaurant several times before and never been disappointed. The service Is efficient and the staff pleasant. The food has tasty and generous portions. Tonight I had the broiled seafood platter which included fish, scallops, shrimp, a crabcake and two sides, I opted for coleslaw and broccoli. Everything was good and hot. If I have any less than overwhelmingly comments, it would be about the crabcake. Good size and flavor, just wasnt my moms or my aunts. But nothing could be that good...right. ☺

Im a chef and have to say. If they. Want to give u a hard time about putting jalapeño on your scrambled eggs thats a bad start. Ordered what looked like the most expensive meal on the menu... stuffed shrimp. They served it directly on the griddle skillet all nasty with a side of CANNED green beans???? Really.. very very disappointing for a meal. With no sauce offered for the dry stuffed shrimp made with all back fin crab meat :( the quesadilla was good tho thank heaven I could actually eat something. Lol

Went for dinner.. ordered broiled seafood platter and cream of crab soup. Cream of Crab soup was very good. For dinner the platter was disappointing however. Crab cake was good (although had a few pieces of shell that had to pick out), however the scallops were very very under cooked and over seasoned. The shrimp were pretty much uneatable; very very overcooked, and over seasoned as well. Maybe just order the soup and crab cake and call it a day.

We love to play the slot machines. Between the two of us this year we have won over $47,0000 we both hit jackpots. I have to say Im very disappointed with the food they been serving lately its terrible. The potatoes are made from a box the green beans are canned and the seafood plattter was overcooked and for $21.00 my crab cake should have been lump crab cake not a bread cake.

I was served ROTTEN seafood. The smell was nauseating from the time the plate was put down. The server said she didnt know what seafood should smell like. The manager comped my meal, but when I showed concern that I could have gotten sick from it, she told me it wasnt THAT rotten. I would never trust anything that came out of that kitchen again.

Very very poor service!! Nothing but a bunch of kids that dont know anything about customer service! Rude is the best way to describe it! On the other hand the bartenders are great! So if you want to eat here, sit at the bar! The rod n reel might be a little pricey but the service is way better! And its right across the street!

We just moved here from Florida and couldnt believe the hard time we were having finding GOOD food. We were SO happy to come across this place. It looked packed but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. All the food was DELICIOUS! Some of the best crab legs Ive had in awhile! We will be coming back many of times!

Went for dinner Friday night waited a hour and 35 mins just to get to are seats because someone dropped the ball when we checked in. Ordered steak well done it came out mooooooooooing sent it back and they they asked me if I wanted to order something else no thank you will never eat there again

My family and I have been eating here for years! When we come in we already know what our menu favorites are. If there are any problems, it has previously been handled appropriately. The food has always been great or they fix the problem. We keep coming back!

I am currently sitting in this restaurant, as I have been for the past 80 minutes or so. Id tell you about the food, but we still havent gotten any. The service seems okay for the townies in the bar area, but anyone else probably should stay away.

Not bad, but not great. Serving staff were high school age and served accordingly. I had the Hot Crab Dip as a appetizer, it was basically some crab meat with cream cheese and a layer of cheddar to top it off. It tasted like it sounds, bland.

The food was incredibly awful and extremely over priced. I think they were serving frozen food you can get from a grocery store instead of fresh seafood...an expectation of food at the beach. Tons of flies too. Thankfully our server was nice.
