I hosted a French wine tasting this week. I had Cafe Poupon cater my event. Everything was delicious and the presentation superb. I ordered Hors d ouvres, mini quiche, charcuterie, fruit & cheese, mini French pastries & French baguettes. Kate worked with me to insure I would have just the right assortment. She was awesome! The baguettes were still hot when I came to pick up my order. The gentleman conducting my wine tasting is French and commented on the delicious cheeses! Thanks to Kate & everyone at Cafe Poupon for making my event so successful!

Nothing really out of the ordinary "french-like" in there. My madeleines were made out of muffin mix in a madeleine shaped mold. My hot chocolate was tasteless, my espresso was not good (i suspect that staff is not trained well), chocolate cake was pretty bad to be honest (looks like they use sub-par chocolate and cacao, what a shame). In the end, its a place with a french name that serves pretty boring/tasteless food at best. I want to say, that it was maybe open in 1980 and did not evolve what so ever.

Great espresso, nice staff, clean shop. My favorite morning stop. They have a $5 morning deal thats a life saver for my caffeine craving. Your choice of a latte or cappuccino with a croissant (chocolate, plain, or almond). Beats any $9 combo you would get at Starbucks. Dont forget to sign up for their rewards card. 10 visits get you a free coffee and other random freebies.

I dont spend much time in Baltimore, but I was in town for a couple of hours for an interview and passed this coffee shop on my way. They serve Illy espresso - delish! - and even gave me a free croissant (they were getting rid of the last one left, but the gesture was still appreciated).

Really nice little cafe. The espresso is top-notch, and the pastries are quite delicious. You will definitely want to try a warmed up croissant if you come. The only downside is that the prices are pretty high, unless you get one of the morning combo deals.

Ordered a King Cake the morning of Mardi Gras - cake was ready that day for pick up and was DELICIOUS. Not super traditional - was basically like a pecan filled croissant with frosting, but man was it good. Pricey - but you get what you pay for

Love this place. Great little French bakery in Mount Vernon. We live the ham and cheese croissants! Illy coffee, and excellent espresso drinks. Cookies, fruit trays and other pastries, plus savory options like quiches and sandwiches.
