Having eaten at 4 Chicken Rico locations in Maryland including Aberdeen and Edgewood, I can say that the location on Eastern Avenue in Baltimore city is by far the best as far as food quality and quantity go. The chicken I had today was dry with little flavor. 1 cup of rice and approx 4-5 pieces of plantain, this was not Chicken Rico. From now on Ill stick to the location on Eastern Ave even when the line is long its worth the wait. This is now one of the things I will miss about working in Harbor East

Love this place. We went on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty empty. Staff was very friendly. My husband had a Chicken Rico Sandwich which he loved. The fries were hot and very tasty. I had half a chicken with string beans, and potatoes with some slightly spicy green sauce which I loved very much. I even asked for more green sauce which comes in a tiny cup. This was the best rotisserie chicken I can remember. Tender, a very good taste and juicy. All the sides looked fresh and good. We will be back.

The chicken is delicious and so are the sides - try the Yucca with the yellow sauce - and for $7 you can leave full and very happy. Its also quick, as long as you get there early. Everybody loves this spot so it is usually pretty busy by noon. Its a counter-service place so dont expect too much in the way of atmosphere, but its nothing to complain about either. Bottom line, if youre looking for a quick lunch near APG, this is the place.

I usually get the same thing every time : 1/2 chicken, rice & beans w/ plantains. I cover my chicken in the yellow & green sauce then the magic happens :) Today I tried the chicken gyro. It was very delicious!!!! They ran out of the yellow and green sauce :( Im sure that wouldve enhanced the flavor even more. It tasted good still but the yellow & green sauce wouldve made it even better. The French fries were good too!! Nice & thick :)

The food was super delicious!!! Get the grilled and filleted chicken. Ive never had Peruvian food but it seemed to be like something I would eat if I ever visited Peru. The servers were friendly enough. Im not sure if the owner was also the chef but he was working the grill. His English was very broken but he made an effort to try and explain the menu. Service was fast! Highly recommend!

I ordered the mixed grill which says "1/4 chicken, steak and shrimp with rice and 2 sides" and i asked the guy to make the rice fried rice instead of white rice. When I got my food, it had sausage. I DONT and CANT eat sausage for both religious and health reasons. Then instead of fried rice I get white rice. WTF. Food is usually good, service is awful.

The chicken and yucca were awesome and my three year old loved it too. He even said "those were good fries!" Has a real nice charcoal smell when you walk in and whatever that green sauce they give you with your meal is i like heaven for your mouth. I cant wait to eat here again!

The chicken is excellent. The red beans and rice is amazing. The cabbage is good as well. Ive been going here usually a couple times a week since 2008. Since the employees expanded to the girls they have in there now the side portions have become smaller. But the food is good.

the food is great but the customer service is horrible. If you are in the mood to be treated like trash while ordering and paying for your food, this is the place to be. Also, be sure to not get too picky. You are getting whatever side they feel like giving you.

Not sure what else can br said about this place. Possibly the best chicken Ive ever eaten and the yellow sauce is addictive. The fried plantains were divine and the yellow rice and potatoes were flavorful and well made. You owe it to yourself to eat here.

This has some of the absolute best char broiled chicken Ive ever had, whether its by the quarter, half, or whole. The big fat burrito will keep you fed for the day, its at least a solid pound. Prices are great for the quantity/quality of food.

Chicken is Great! I know good chicken when I tase it. Juicy, smoky, Flavorful. I recommend you to all check it out. I will be going there at least 2 times a month for lunch at work, if I had more than thirty min, I might go more often.

Great place for lunch. Get here early before the lunch rush around 1130. Dont bother with anything else other than the quarter or half chicken. This place would be better if they had fountain soda rather than the limited can selection.

Good prices, decent chicken, but Ive had better. The chicken isnt as juicy or tender as a few other Peruvian Chicken places Ive been too, such as Pankas in Hunt Valley. Still good, though, and I will be back.

Sensational seasoning on the chicken! My favorites are the burrito and chicken sandwich. Only bad thing about this place is that its so popular around lunchtime that its difficult to get seating sometimes!

Great food fast for a cheap price. You must come early for most side choices. However, if you ask for "corn" they will give you whatever sides they have prepared for the next day.
