My wife and I recently visited York Harbor, ME for New Years weekend. We stopped at York 54 for lunch when we first arrived. Its located right off Interstate 95 on Route 1 at the York exit. From the outside its not much to look at, but its whats inside that really matters. They offer mostly a variety of sandwiches and pizzas using fresh ingredients. We both ordered sandwiches. The bread is actually pizza dough. Its folded in half with the ingredients of the sandwich inside. Both sandwiches were amazing! When we left we told them wed be back but I didnt think it would be the next day. We met with another couple later that day that we were spending the weekend with. The next day we spent exploring the area and when it was lunch time the couple asked if we could go back to York 54 after we told them how much we enjoyed it. York Harbor and nearby Ogunquit offer many good places to eat but we said sure. We started off with the Butternut Squash Gratin bread bowl which was unbelievable! We all ordered different pizzas for lunch and no one was disappointed. If youre in the area and want a quick, delicious lunch., look no further than York54.

My family and I loved this place, the food was really good. We had the cheese bread and brussel sprouts for starters, my 7 year old even liked the brussel sprouts. For our meal we had 3 personal pizzas Blanca, garlic and green veggie, and hard cider bbq. Each of pizzas we had a great balance of flavors with the bbq being my favorite. The only warning I would give is that the garlic are whole cloves roasted, I liked it this way but I know some people dont like garlic that much. I have seen on other reviews(Yelp) that the hostess was short on the phone and estimated the time wrong. I will say that was not my experience at all I watched as she waited on tables, cleaned tables, took orders on the phone, and dealt with pickup orders the entire time I was there. I was there for about 1hr and the influx of people never stopped between phone calls and pickups she never even had chance to take a short break and she was still attentive to us. I would definitely visit this place again on my next visit to York.

York 54 is one of the best pizzerias in the area. Their menu varies from simple to unusual combinations. Our favorite is a sauceless pizza with apples, caramelized onions, caramelized pecans, and blue cheese. It is delicious. So is the Perfect 10, which has 10 typical toppings including pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, etc. They also serve sandwiches and salads. The restaurant has seating for only about 15 people, so order your pizza take-out. I debated whether this should influence awarding it 4 stars instead of 5, but deliciousness won out!

EXCELLENT PIZZA! So my husband and I were in York, ME camping this past week. On our last night there (Saturday), we ordered a pizza for York 54. We had a large Cheese pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions. This has to be one of the best pizzas we have EVER HAD if not the best!. I have never reviewed a place we ate at, but felt the need to write a review on this pizza, thats how good it was!

The taco pizza. The small. NOT A SMALL. Wow. What a bargain for the price. If you are actually hungry. Go with the small. If you want something to share. Go with the personal. The personal is such an impressive portion too!! Get the chicken wings too! Incredible. Just the right amount of spice. Can not wait to come back
