Ive scoured Bar Harbor looking for good muffins and croissants, and Morning Glory is without a doubt the absolute BEST bakery in town. Theres often a line out the door, and its worth the wait! They are the only bakery to make true croissants - you know, the ones made with butter and with true, flaky pastry dough. Most other places simply shape their bread dough into a crescent and call it a croissant - not here! Likewise for their blueberry muffins: they are most, with just a bit of crispness on the top, and just the right texture. Not like those large, overly bread-like muffins you can find at many shops and groceries. Finally, they now have a "no cell phone" policy that they actually enforce, which makes it much more pleasant if you decide to eat there at one of the (few) tables or at the window counter.

I would strongly suggest that you dont patronize this place. Whether liberal or conservative, customers should NEVER be insulted by the owner of the establishment. After my wife and I patronized this place and exchanged genuine pleasantries with the person (who represented herself as the owner), she closed the shop and began blaring vulgar, profanity-laced rap music for everyone on the street to hear, including several families with small children. The irony is that inside the shop the owner has several signs declaring that it was a "place of tolerance". I guess being tolerant is reserved for the type of hypocrites that run this establishment. BTW - the blueberry pie was pathetically dry and looked like it was several days old.

I was as recently in Bar Harbor for my stepsons graduation from College of the Atlantic. Morning Glory Bakery in Bar Harbor, Maine has the best, AMEN, danish roles I have ever had!! They are a must try...served warm of course. The word de-li-cious does not quite describe Morning Glorys cheese danish offerings of blueberry or rhubarb wonderment. Im in love with a pastry! Dont tell my husband:) A long distance relationship will be difficult considering we live in Indiana.

this is THE bakery for Bar Harbor. If you have to wait in line, there is a reason. The staff are friendly & get to know you. the Taste Treats are uniform ly delicious, breads are great. Good bagels. Good coffee. Perfect spot to hang out summer or winter.oh... and did I mention the cakes?? AMAZING! the only question is do you yell "geronimo" before or after leaping through the display window to roll in rich chocolatey goodness? Seriously, this is the best in Bar Harbor!

This bakery has been around Bar Harbor for a long time. Its a great place for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack. They put out several varieties of coffee and tea and have made to order items for breakfast and lunch. Of course you can carry out and in summer thats probably a good choice since seating is limited. I took a shot of the handmade menu and suspect it changes over time so items and prices will vary.

Porque es pequeño y todos los bagels son deliciosos, hechos allí mismo. Lo unico que no me gusta es que el café te lo dan en envase para llevar, pero eso es en casi todo Bar Harbor

Awesome ! Fresh baked everything. Had multigrain bagel with bacon chive cream cheese which is also freshly made pretty delightful. Friendly staff and just a cute little place with tons of morning glory to look at. Just great place to check out thanks !! -- from Providence, Rhode Island

A wonderful place for bagels, sticky buns, bread, and other things a bakery would offer. Has drinks and outdoor seating. Public restroom. Has some other things as well, like cake and Danish pastries. Always something to read there too. For this, I give it a 5/5.

Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I was disappointed by the lack of breakfast pastries, but their bagels are good. Breakfast sandwiches are made on an undersized griddle, so ordering more than a few can mean a bit of a wait.

Great place to pick up a packed lunch before heading out on a hike. The sandwiches were amazing. Be careful with packing the lunches though. They can get a bit messy. A bit of sauce bled through the packaging into my backpack.

Great place for a quick breakfast if youre in a pinch for time or even if youre not. Really tasty bagels and breakfast sandwiches, homemade pastries and good coffee/ espresso drinks too, convenient and cool location as well.

We came for coffee and sweets. Everything was great. They had a huge selection of cookies and pastries. It was difficult to choose. The sandwiches and rest of the menu looked good, but we didnt have any.

The best coffee I have ever had! A classic coffee or tea is priced at $1.50, which is good considering everything is ORGANIC. As long as you get there at their slow time, you will have a great time.

Love the organic food, always fresh, when they run out of an ingredient, they sell out of the item. No cell phones, which is nice too to take a break and enjoy your food and who youre with.

The best bagels in Bar Harbor! Went to other cafes that carried these bagels, but why not go to the source! Tons of tasty dessert and pastries. Their freshly baked bread is great as well!

I adore Morning Glory! The venue is a bit cramped but the prices are reasonable and the food and drinks are fresh. Im always satisfied after a cheddar egg bagel with a large coffee.

Lemon rosemary salt bagels! Yum. On the expensive side, similar to most things Bar Harbor. Cream cheese options were plentiful and tasty!
