Let me preface my review by stating that I never write reviews but this experience was especially terrible. Quickly seated to hibachi grill, ordered two apps, egg rolls and soft shell crabs, neither of which had any flavor and were basically just greasy. Presentation lacked with everything but most notable was the crab, a $17 app, it was nonexistent. Had one bite and left the rest untouched as it was unsavory and inedible. Enter our hibachi chef, Sam, who was super pleasant and funny but didnt properly season or cook the chicken or veggies. He presented us with 2 shrimp as "apps" they were gritty..only ate one because it was impolite to spit it out. $73.00 for dinner and its sad to say that the best part of the meal was the fried rice. Didnt ever get the waitress name who had completely disappeared, never returned to check up on if we were enjoying our food or needed drink refills (we did, I was eating ice..). Finally over the poor experience, I asked for the check and mentioned the tasteless greasy crab to which she responded shed check with mgmt. They didnt take the crab off the ticket or even come out to check on the customer even though I expressed my displeasure, they made not even the smallest attempt at customer service. Sat us with a party of six and charged us, a party of 2, an 18% gratuity. It was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I can confidently say that this was my worst dining experience to date and I dont say that lightly. I do NOT recommend this place to dine as the service, food, and experience has been weighed, measured, and found wanting.

Saw the billboard driving into town. Also saw ads in the hotel visitors guide. So, we decided to check it out. The food was just so-so. They put a lot of different vegetables in the fried rice, i.e. lima beans? The sushi was ok, but the california roll was very average. The filet mignon was tender, but the dipping sauce was not good at all. Instead of a mustard sauce that we are used to, they used a sauce that resembled thousand island. The salad dressing was also not a ginger dressing, which is something we are used to. I guess we are just used to certain things when it comes to teppanyaki. We were from out of town; so if you are from Shreveport, then I guess its good because the locals rave about it.

Ok so the person below obviously is as high maitenance as they sound..... This place is very good. The salad dressing is called Ginger dressing...obviously the person below was unaware of this. Fried rice is great. As for the 20 minute "wait" they serve you as they go along. Its not as if you are watching them cook this long meal. AND the person below is obviously not that smart because everyone knows you split your meal from the grill. Its not meant for just 1 person!!!!! It is a little expensive, but the servings are quite large and you get what you pay for. Tokyo is very good. Ignore these ignorant comments.....

Worst hibachi place in Shreveport....took 2 hours to get our food on a Sunday afternoon, manager and waitress were rude and snobby. My food was actually not served with the rest of our tables (literally just didnt cook the rice or chicken). Shogun is not as nice inside but the food and service is infinitely better. All they care about period is the money, and it shows in everything they do; disappointing because the place has so much potential if it just had better management. Over all a horrible experience and I wont be going back. My recommendation would be to make the drive and go to the newer Shogun in bossier.

This is a funny review... I work very close to Tokyo. I love their food... Mainly their "Steak fried rice from the kitchen". My wife and family would make a point to go here because the food was consistently great and it was close. Because of the frequency my family and I have grown very close with the owners. They are amazing people and understand making great quality food. They also have a Chinese food menu... YOU MUST TRY your favorites on it. He takes a unique, amazing, and surprising approach to the traditional favorites. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I hardly eat in the hibachi side at all.

Slow service, the food had very little seasoning, my chicken was tough, the place wasnt very clean and there was a smell upon entrance. We were there for a birthday party and they had 1 cook for 15 people. We didnt get our soup and salad until 30 minutes after we were seated. The server was aggravated, which I could understand dealing with a party of thay size by herself. I will never go there again.

Had a birthday dinner with friends and was charged for another guest ticket because apparently someone didnt pay and they thought it was ok to charge me for an unpaid bill for a person I didnt come with . And they charged my card AFTER!!!!! I left the restaurant was the issue call to complain they was VERY VERY !!! RUDE . If you visit pay cash!!! I WILL NOT BE BACK !!!!! Unsatisfied Customer

The hibachi grill is what makes this place enjoyable. From smoking volcano shaped onions to flying eggs its very entertaining seeing your food created. Overall Im sure it isnt healthy with the big slices of butter they cook into your food. Youll always have food to take home with the large portions of fried rice, vegetables and main dish.

The best sushi and hibachi grill around. The Owner Tony Wang is a generous host and makes sure we have the best experience everytime. We celebrate all of our most important occasions at Tokyo because of the service, atmosphere and the food! Go try em.

Service has been bad and the food quality has gone way down hill! Last time I was there the hostess treated us so rude, we just left. The owner apologized..that was it. She did nothing to make it up to us. Last time you get my $ Tokyo.

This is far most the best place to take your family to the reviews that down grade the food and experience. Well they should go back to the rat holes they came out of because they wouldnt know what good food was if it bit them on the a**

Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! Our sever, Brennen, was hilarious and very attentive. Before we left, he made sure I had extra soup since I have had a horrid cough. We will definitely be making a return.
