Im always on the lookout for a good but inexpensive burger. I decided on the Louisiana burger (remoulade sauce, grilled onions, cant beat that) but modified it a bit. The burger was excellent, cooked just right, juicy, had a great flavor, the condiments were fresh, just a really good flavor. Had the Smashfries which have olive oil, rosemary, and garlic. Again, another great flavor. So why only a Good rating? I found the cost to be higher than it should. The quality of the burger was equivalent to a 5 Guys (which is literally 300 yards away) but with the option of specialty flavors. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but when I get a craving for a good burger, its for a good BURGER and not a good SPECIALTY burger. I wouldnt hesitate to go back, but when burgers come to mind 5 Guys and Burgersmith remain my top favorites.

This place sucks my fries were cold infact they were sitting under the light when i came into the establishment and they were swimming in oil, they didnt even fill the container all the way. I had the truffle burger it was not good and i love truffle. The burger was patty was tastless and greasey. The serivce pretty much sucks way to long. They do make a good milkshake but thier straws arent wide enough for it. I felt like calories,gas and time were watsed on this place. Their also exspensive $18 for a 4oz burger a drink some cold fries and milkshake.

Every other Smashburger Ive been to has understood what "no meat" means except for this location. The Avocado Ranch Black Bean burger was replaced with some Club version, and even when I ask for "no bacon, no meat" some how bacon ends up on my burger (or like times in the past, I go home with some random beef burger?). I now check the sandwiches before leaving and they have yet to get my order right. Is it really that complicated? I understand we are in the south, but this restaurant should be more sensitive to peoples dietary preferences.

I was excited about Smashburger opening since I enjoyed the ones I went to in Texas but.... I was disappointed. I ordered the Louisiana burger and it was highly over seasoned to the point of it being inedible. The grilled onions were burnt to a crisp and it looked as if they dipped the entire burger in oil before they gave it to me. Id try it again hoping that it was a one time thing, but after that Id have to call it quits and take my business back to Five Guys and Burgersmith.

Food is pretty good. Fries are great. Atmosphere is pretty good. But staff has always been sketchy at best. Service is awful. Been here a dozen times since they opened. Keep going back cause my wife loves the food. But space keeps getting longer between visits. Every time I go back I hope they figured out the staffing issue. Not yet. Reached out to Mangement one time only to be told I was the problem. Obviously an issue at the top. Hope they figure it out. Food is good.

Arrived at here at 9pm and wanted to order 2 milk shakes, keep in mind they close at 10pm.... the cashier told me that "milk shake machine" was closed for the night. Ive been a regular customer to this chain for the last 2 years in NJ never have I ever hard of such bullshit until I came to LA. That equates to the employees being lazy and not wanting to clean the machine after its been used. Ill be calling Dismas Johnson (general manager) to follow up.

There are many excellent burger places in Baton Rouge and this is Definitely Not one of them. Food is poor, price is sky high. Do not waste your money. I tried the Louisiana burger that was recommended and regular fries. Mooyah, and regular Whopper better than this burger. For great burgers try Riverside patty or Dearmans. On the west side, try River queen on La. 1.

We stopped eating here about 8 months ago because of the poor service and cold food. After receiving a promotion in the mail yesterday, we thought we would give it another try because it was clearly a management issue and maybe they had changed. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were cold AND I found a hair and piece of paper in my burger. I am disgusted.

The food was overpriced for what you get. The fries (Smash-fries) were extremely too oily and a bunch of tiny little ones. The burger (Louisiana) actually tasted good. However there was not much to it. The service was okay while we were ordering but other than that the people working there seemed to be in their own world.

The burgers have good flavor but are just too greasy for my liking. I love the thinly cut fries. I dont care for the fries seasoned with rosemary olive oil and all that. Ill stick to the regular fries...ohhhh but the shakes are delicuous. I had a strawberry one today and it was cold, tasty and refreshing.

Tried this place out a little bit ago. It wasnt the best burger Ive ever had, but it was decent, and the price is pretty low. They did mess up my order (I asked no tomatoes/onions), but not a big deal. Im not a big fan of their smaller french fries, either, but to each their own.

I love the friendly service and the delicious food. Sure, their fries are small but I like that they are different. I get tired of eating the same stuff all the time and this place was different. Im def going back again, the Louisiana burger was deliciously spicy.

Giving the Baton Rouge Smashburger 1 star is generous. TrashBurger would be more fitting for the food and service. Hit Five Guys in Towne Center across the street instead if you want a decent burger. Go to Smashburger if being disappointed is your thing.

This place is a disgrace to all of burger world. The fries are nasty, service sucks and the burgers taste like a larger version of the BIG MAC from McDonalds!!!! Definitely not worth the money. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Disappointed in this last visit. Burger was not very well sauced (bbq). Really disappointed in the fries - super thin fries were a main reason for coming here, and we got McD-sized. Oh well.

They think that all the ketchup hides the dry meat, it smells bad, and there was hair in my drink. I recommend that instead of here, get something higher grade.. Mcdonalds should be open.
