Tonight we were looking for good Chinese food, and we are SO happy we chose Oriental Wok! To start out, we got there a little late... 20 min before closing... and they seated us no problem. The service was wonderful! As we walk in we are greeted by a red and gold archway, and water features with koi swimming tranquilly. It is beautiful! The special "beer" was a ginger beer that was just fantastic, and the lychee martinis were to die for. The food was fantastic! The best eggrolls Ive had in years. Im a real pot sticker snob, and these were amazing! They have a special of two regular menu options with soup and choice of rice that is more than plenty for 1.5 people. My partner got the special of the evening (orange roughy rolled with shrimp and asparagus and steamed, then seared; served on a bed of wilted spinach with a mushroom broth that was deliciously earthy!). The owner of almost 40 years greeted us and chaufferred us through our meal. He also made me a special dessert based on my dietary needs (Crohns disease) and it was amazing! Basically: Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Well worth your time! A great step out of the strip-mall chinese take-outs of our time. ***** UPDATE: We went again this evening for a special night out, and were thrilled with the service, the food, and especially the ambiance! They were celebrating the Chinese New Year. Being Year of the Horse they had carriage rides, and also a mini petting zoo with adorable small horses! They had wonderful performances all evening of traditional Chinese music, dances, and theatricals. Definite MUST for anyone in the Cincy/NKY area! Still *****

Every time we go to Oriental Wok or we pick up we are extremely happy. The service is fantastic. If Mike is there he makes you feel as though you just found your great uncle. I have expect him to pull a silver dollar out of my ear. One of our favorite dishes is the Chicken Soong (Lettuce Wraps). We learned how to make these at one of the classes offered by the restaurant. We actually won a cooking contest (amongst our family) with these. Everyone loves them. We always get more than we order. We also love the shrimp fried rice. I have never had it so good. I’ve eaten at many Chinese restaurants and nothing I’ve had compares. Huge portions! / great taste / fanstastic service. Also, if Mike recommends something - get it. He once recommended the General Wongs Chicken. Now its one of my favorite dishes. I only wish they had 6 stars to rate this resturaunt.

You NEVER have a bad meal at the Wok. Service is always excellent, atmosphere friendly and they are so happy to accommodate their patrons. Weve been frequenting the restaurant since their opened at their first location and have had many events hosted by the Wok, such as business dinners, family dinners, birthday celebrations, pre-prom, wedding rehearsal, bridal showers, and baby showers and any other type of event you could think of. Its always our first choice. They make you feel like family and never fail to let you know how much they appreciate your business. Well done Wong family! Besides, they are the only restaurant around who has a Lychee Martini!

We had a large party consisting of 4 families who traveled to China together last year to adopt our daughters. We chose the Oriental Wok for our reunion dinner, and we all agreed we made the right decision. Food was terrific, ambiance a dream, and service was outstanding. There were a few little extras we needed, which we got without even asking. Considering how special the occasion was for all of us, we all agreed the Oriental Wok made the evening that much more memorable. Our sincerest thanks to Monica and Mr. Wong.

All the hype and talking about this restaurant has certainly given this restaurant some big ego. Anyway, the price that you pay for is seriously way over price at this economy. The servers look like they did not have anything to eat for the last 3 days, no smiles and expect you to tip them. Come on, give me a break. So what if this restaurant looks great, with the kind of price for wine, beer and food, i could imagine a bigger castle that i would have to dine in at. Not worth the trip at all.

I would describe myself as a very well traveled and serious foody. I would describe this place as one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. Seriously, it was that good. In order to rate a place five stars and to write a review, it has to not only have great food, but great service and atmosphere. Oriental Wok nailed it! The owner is so cool and the piano player tonight was on point. I honestly cant wait to return. My buddies and I will be back each time we work in the area. -Matt

My new wife and I both love Oriental Wok. Shortly before our wedding day we ate at Oriental Wok and the owner, Mr. Wong, stopped by our table. He said he wanted to the first to greet my wife by her new last name. The friendly smile was great, and he continued to make sure the waitstaff treated us well (read: free dessert) for the rest of the night. If youre looking for authentic food (as opposed to Chinese American food), ask for the authentic menu. The gai lan is fantastic.

Wonderful experience here tonight! The service was fast and FRIENDLY! My drink would barely even get half way empty before someone was there to fill it. Probably 5 different individuals filled our drinks. The food was DELICIOUS. The 5 spice seafood was out of this world. The crab rangoons are my all time favorite. Everyone was very attentive and the food was excellent. The kitchen was a little behind, but frankly we enjoyed the pace and time to talk and relax.

The food was ok but when I went it was a Friday for my sisters birthday the service was horrible even tho we had a reservation and bc we did he had to tip 24 dollars we wait an hour for our food and one of our friends with us got charged for 7 beers even tho he had one the only thing I did like was when mike came over and was very nice and happy I would go back if this changes but I do think this was just a one night thing

For many years thrilled by the quality of Mikes food. Havent been there for a few years. Today very disappointed and clear that Mikes touch was no longer there. Moogoo gai pan and cashew chicken ding exactly the same just cashews sprinkled over one with vegetables chopped so large you had to eat in 3 bites while others were overcooked. Egg roll cooked in burnt oil only bright spot won ton soup still excellent.

Still my favorite Chinese restaurant in all the world. Our waitress Maddy was wonderful! But if its your first time, be sure to ask for Mike to come to your table for his recommendation. Or, if youre willing to take a gamble, let him order for you. Itll be worth it just for the new experience. I havent even been served yet and Im looking forward to my next visit.

Best dining experience weve had in a long time! Food was excellent, they even had gluten free options. The atmosphere was great and they even had a pianist playing. Owner sat us and even went up to get me more soup from the buffet. All wait staff were extremely polite and professional. I only wish we lived closer so we can experience this more often.
