Cons: #1-hostess seated 2 guys in a section w/ a waitER! Gals, if a group (2 +) of guys walk into your restaurant they do NOT want to be waited on by some other guy. We want to look at, and flirt with, a hot female. [no carriage return on this app?] #2- My salmon was cooked a little long. Im not from this area, I was traveling and am used to, and assumed I would get, salmon that is cooked rare to mid rare. I didnt think of it when I ordered, but should have (but so should they). Around the area this may be the norm, but be aware of that.[return] Pros: Soft shell crab app - superb! Beef & asparagus app - very nicely done. Chef Recommended pork entree - superb! Salmon entree - see notes above, but otherwise quite nicely done. [return] For all his masculinity, the waiters service was friendly & very good. The decor was up to date & the eye candy present, if woefully distant. Definitely worth the visit, but ask about how your fish is cooked, and negotiate with your hostess regarding your seating.

I simply love this place. In my opinion its one of the best Japanese restaurants in the entire Tri-County area, let alone in Northern Kentucky. Seriously, the decor was inviting and seemingly authentic, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm, the service was excellent, and to get to the most important part, the food was stunningly delicious. Anyone who dines here and isnt pleased isnt looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, its that simple. All I can say, is that those people would be better off eating at an Americanized "Chinese" buffet or something, because they obviously arent looking for authentic Japanese cuisine. But yeah, this place is great. I highly recommend it! Loved the food, loved the service, loved the atmosphere. Great place all around. Its probably my favorite restaurant in the area honestly...

From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be tasty. There were more Japanese patrons than not-- a good sign. Smooth Jazz aside, Myoshi is a traditional, authentic Japanese restaurant, and they serve the best Japanese food Ive had since being in Japan. I picked the yakitori and an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink bowl of Udon. Each was just perfect-- simple, delicious, and completely authentic. For a landlocked region with a passé sushi fetish, its encouraging to find a restaurant that can serve a wide variety of Japanese food, including noodles, bowls, and entrees. Im glad to have found a place in the middle of Kentucky that takes me back to chilly nights in Hakkodate, hovering over a steaming bowl of ramen. Ill definitely be going back.

Another reviewer called Miyoshi the best sushi in Greater Cincinnati - whole heartedly agree. For the best experience sit at the sushi bar or at one of the high top tables near the front entrance. For a large group, there is a tatami room which is elegant and cool at the same time. Noodles and sushi are my two favorite food items here. The sushi staff is friendly and knowledgeable and wont steer you wrong. You will notice that on any given evening the restaurant is at least half full with japanese families from nearby Toyota. A good validation of the quality and menu. Pricey? Yes - you pay a small premium over some other Cincy sushi places. But I found its worth it!

We stopped in on a whim and were blown away! Great atmosphere, perfect blending of traditional and contemporary. We sat near the sushi bar and really enjoyed watching the artists behind the counter ply their trade. They clearly know their craft very well. We enjoyed the sushi/nigiri and it was the only truly traditionally prepared nigiri weve had in the Midwest. The food was delicious and they had the best quality and selection that we have seen since we were on the west coast. We were waited on by the owner and we really enjoyed the personal touch. Its a bit of a drive from our home, but we will definitely be going back!

Originally, I thought this was a hibachi/sushi bar, but it is more of a traditional Japanese restaurant with good ambiance and staff. The menu consisted of a fair assortment of sushi as well as noodle dishes, traditional appetizers and entrees. I got a panko crusted pork that was way overcooked and it came with some weird mashed potato slaw and a sauce that was eerily similar to McDonalds Big Mac sauce. Very disappointing. However, the sushi was not bad and they offer a good variety. It is worth a shot if your in the mood for noodles and sushi while in Florence, Ky.

Spectacular food, atmosphere, and staff! Every day they have authentic lunch specials and I have become a frequent patron. I never know exactly what their dishes are called, but either way, I have loved every one more than the one before. The fish selection is always fresh and terrific quality. Their soups are the best in the city, no doubt. All broths are made fresh from scratch. I have NEVER been disappointed by the quality here! 6 stars would be appropriate. Cheers!

Was really craving Ramen and sushi. Came here for the first time and it was amazing. 10/10. Food came out in about 10 minutes after ordering, huge portions, best ramen ive had actually; amazing! I brought my little 2 year old with me, not realizing it wasnt exactly the type of restaurant to bring your child, and our waitress was so amazing with him, played with him, and was so patient even though he was messy and loud. Will definitely be coming back here!

I eat japanese/sushi about once a week and I am convinced this is the best in the area. Its worth the drive to Florence. If you get sick of the other top spots in town (Beluga, Green Papaya, Jo An, and Matsuya), I highly recommend giving it a try. Try the flounder/halibut appetizer--sort of a take on an app found at world-famous Nobu. Traditional traditional japanese dishes (rice bowls, ramen, etc.) are also excellent.

This place is excellent. The food is authentic Japanese food, and the place has a very nice atmosphere. A couple of reviewers said negative things, so I can only imagine that these people are from the competing sushi places in the area. this is some of the best japanese food that you can get in this part of the USA. If you want better Japanese food- go to japan!!

We just had a lovely evening here. The food is authentic Japanese, with some dishes thrown in for the American palate. Each time I have dined here there was an even mix of English and Japanese being spoken. The food is excellent, the decor restrained and slightly aging, noise level low even when all tables are full. I love this place.

Very delicious, with good service! I got the katsu ju, and it was super good, and a good portion size! Not huge like at many other restaurants, which I actually liked. We got sushi to share for the table, which I liked, but wish they used less mayo in their sushi. The service was very good and my water cup wasnt empty for long.

Great authentic Japanese sushi, sashimi, and dishes. Great service! All the Japanese in the area eat here and there are a lot of Japanese companies in the Northern Kentucky area, TOYOTA, Toyota Boshoku, Mazak, Shinwa, Toyota Tsusho, Obara, to name a few. I have traveled to Japan about a dozen times this is truly authentic.
