The taste of New York Pizza, hummmm, lets put this way. If you ever lived in the NYC Metro area for any length of time, then this place will bring back pleasant and tasty memorys of your local pizzeria. Where the pizza is made excellent every time, the smell draws you every time, the cheese is the BOMB,the crust is explosive and the owners truly treat you like a family all the time. Now if you have NEVER experienced NYC pizza in NYC then come by and get a taste of New York Pizza - this place is thee best outside NYC in all USA! Excuse me I need to go get a slice !!

First time visit, woman working the counter seemed to have an attitude and was very short. They had taco pizza today which wasnt on the menu so I assume they do specials daily. While it was good it tasted nothing like taco pizza, though its worth noting the crust is delicious. Also got the special rice ball with meat, delicious and huge. The food will definitely fill you up though it is a bit pricey. Very small place and busy over lunch. Would try again to see if I like another slice better and see if service improved.

I cant speak highly enough about the customer service here. I ordered food from here, had a little trouble with the delivery, and Taste of New York Pizza made it right 100%. They sent out fresh, hot pizza to us. It was worth the wait. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I recommend this place 5/5 stars for the food and because the business is run by people that care about customer service as much as the food. Will definitely be ordering from here again and again.

We just moved here from Staten Island. We are so happy with finding pizza that tastes like the best in NY. The crust is thin, crisp and chewy with the right amount of salt. Real mozzarella and pepperoni. We are taking home a Marguerite pie and zeppolis. I am full already. The owners were so nice and they gave us a list of other NY owned shop for deli and bread. This place will be a regular.

Wow your getting quantity not quality!!!! Little Ceasers got you beat. When your on vacation and wanting a nice slice of pizza beware, nice people and great customer service. I recommend paneras bread house any day. Make sure you have a wallet of $$$ pricey when coming to this pizza joint

pizza its good I think its to pricy. Owner of New York Pizza Come on you are not in New York anymore prices are to high !!!! $24.00 for a pizza pie ?? you are in Iowa now not much people will pay that amount of money for a pizza. $8.50 for a salad? rethink your prices Thank You.

I was born and raised in NY and this place has perfectly delicious, authentic NY pizza. They also have great heros, calzones, garlic knots... everything you could ask for. Excellent quality. Im glad I dont have to fly home for a good slice, anymore.

First visit. Just awesome. This is real New York pizza, calzones, etc. You can get a whole pie or order by the slice. This restaurant was super clean and the staff and proprietors were delightful. If youre not sure what NY pizza is, this is it.

This place rivals some of the best pizza Ive had up and down the east coast. The slices looked a little aged, but we ordered a full 18 inch pizza and garlic knots, both were amazing. Fresh, homeade ingredients on hand stretched dough. Just perfect!

This pizza has a unique and delicious taste to it, though its also sits heavier than a generic mid-west pizza would. If youre a foodie, youll want to go here at least once. Id recommend trying their version of a pepperoni, and the lasagna.

Wonderful, real NY pizza! Everything from the crust (perfect texture, folds without cracking) to the sauce to the toppings is amazing. The ONLY downside is its pretty far from downtown Des Moines. Definitely worth the trip, though.

Finally! I am from NY and have tried every place from Des Moines to Omaha that advertises NY style pizza only to be extremely disappointed each time...until now. Take it from a New Yorker, they nailed it.

The pizza and canollis are both fantastic. Next time Ill be trying a calzone. The prices seem expensive, buy the pizzas are huge. Combined with the consistently high quality, its totally worth it.

We love to stop for a quick slice. The pizza is great, they have a nice variety of ready made slices, and the place is kid friendly (fast, low key, and a steady supply of cheese and pepperoni).

They have amazing pizza and you can get just a slice of pizza from a variety of pizza already made. They are a bit pricey, but if you have the money, its well worth the stop.
