Id give negative stars if I could. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with a food delivery. We ordered online, then called to confirm the order since weve had issues with our orders when placed online previously (we order online because no one there understands english, the person answering the phone said that straight out). They estimate 45 minutes to an hour delivery time. An hour passes, no food. We call in and they tell us they just left their store and itll show up within ten minutes. Fifteen minutes pass, no food. We call back, apparently the delivery driver was lost, even though he was right across the parking lot from my store. The guy on the phone INSISTED we meet the driver where he was to pick up our food, since he couldnt find us. We ended up having to flag him down outside our store. Then the driver didnt want to give us the food until we tipped! Who does that? NO we are not tipping. He ended up yelling at us for not tipping! Then our food was obviously cold by the time we got it, over an hour and a half after ordering, and we didnt get the rice we ordered! We called the store to tell them what happened and the guy argued that he gave us the correct order, no we were missing food. We ordered the dinner portions and sure enough we got half the food we should have. The chicken was cardboard feeling and way too sweet. They offered nothing for our trouble, not even an apology.

This place is terrible. I ordered online and an hour went by and I still didnt have any food. I called the place and the guy was very rude and told me that I should have called the place instead of ordered online if I wanted it faster. Finally after 2 hours I got the food. Since it was 2 hours I wasnt going to leave a tip and the guy who showed up wouldnt give me the food until I gave him a tip. I ordered orange beef and they gave me orange chicken so they couldnt even get the order right. Then when I looked at the food it looked disgusting. I ate just a little bit of it and it was really oily and everything was burned. Texture was like cardboard. Couldnt even eat the food. The crab ragoon had no crab in it at all. When I mean no crab I dont mean didnt have much crab. It was literaly all cream cheese. I wouldnt recommend that anyone use this place.

DONT EAT HERE, Not sure if its safe??! The man working was very nice which was the best part of the experience. I ordered over phone to pick up food. It was ready when I arrived, he gave me the wrong order, I called when got home (about 2 miles away) and told him it was wrong order. He said to bring back in so I did. He wrapped up my order that I literally just brought back in and handed it to the person who my meal was mixed up with...wtf?!?! Then he recooked my meal...it was terrible. Worst Chinese Ive ever had, price was $23 and I felt it wasnt a great portion of terrible food. I dont like giving companies bad ratings but this one deserves it...save your time, your money and your stomach and go somewhere else.

Should have know by the empty algae filled fish tank at the entrance that we didnt want to eat here. The second clue was the overpopulated (algae filled) tank that had a mob of fish feeding off of one floating carcass. The food was sweet. All of it was no matter what we ordered. Spicy garlic wasnt spicy at all it was sweet. And the scallops in my meal were cold and raw while other parts of the dish were hot. $11.75 for a happy family dinner and it only had two shrimp on the plate. The egg rolls were mostly fried won ton wraps with a hint of veggies in the middle. So not only was this place gross but the food was bad also. We know where we wont be eating again.

This is by far our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Des Moines area. The take-out portions are huge and the food is always tasty and good. Our kids love the Orange and Sesame chicken, and we love the Yu-Hsaing, Governors, Cashew, Garlic, Hunan chicken/beef, pretty much anything. Great Mu-Shu also. Im a sucker for Crab Rangoon too. Delivery is fast and food is hot. Also, if you like viewing aquariums, they have a couple of big ones with some really cool fish. The restaurant itself is very clean and open, big TV so if theres a game on you cant miss but youre hungry, theyll put it on. Go there once, and youll be hooked!!!!

First off Im not discounting the people that have received less than perfect service or quality from China Garden, but my co-workers and I order from this place all the time. I have never had bad food or service from them. They are always polite and efficient on the phone. Order is almost always 100% correct. Like all restaurants they are run and managed by humans and we make mistakes and bad decisions. People write bad reviews more than they write positive reviews. So keep that in mind when you make your decision whether to order from them or not.

Ordered delivery. Guy on phone was very rude and at times, faked understanding me after I had to repeat several times that I just wanted pints. He kept trying to get me to order quarts. 4 pints of food and two pops turned out to be 28 dollars for them to deliver it two blocks away. Turns out, the guy on the phone took the liberty to order me 4 combo meals where as I just wanted the meat and veggies without the rice, egg rolls and etc. NEVER ORDERING THERE AGAIN!!!

Make sure you ask for a fork and dont put it in. Also the egg rolls that I added extra were the same as the spring rolls in the platter. So dont expect egg rolls like you would get in a restaurant. This place is a rip-off. Food was very poor. Would not recommend, The guy oguydsn the phone couldnt understand English. Then the Manager got on the phone and he WAS VERY RUDE. I will never order from this place again. Poor service and bad food.

Certainly not the best Chinese Ive ever had, also not the worst. Just mediocre. The spring rolls are not what I expected, just lettuce and what looked to be rice on the inside of a clear rap. I didnt eat them, but I could bet they didnt have much flavor. Sweet and sour chicken was alright. Chicken pad thai, not so much. Crab Rangoon was good, but I didnt see any crab. Fast delivery, but wouldnt recommend this place.
