My family have eaten at Casa Tequila many times and I am very glad it is located right here in Tiffin. Their seafood cannot be beat. Their fish tacos, the seafood burrito and the Camarones Tequila, which is a combination of shrimp and tilapia, has never been a disappointment. I know the spiciness of the meals is hard to control, but my 5-year-old does not have a problem with it and his favorite is the seafood burrito. I am confused about the review by "Google User." In their review they said the menu stated "but they say on the menu that first basket of chips is complimentary and then $1.99 for each basket after that." I have never seen this and we have never had to wait 40 minutes for our meals. They must have this confused with another restaurant, just based on the menu stating $1.99 for each basket after. I wish they would charge for the chips, because it is impossible for me to stop eating them if they are in front of me! Kudos Casa Tequila! Keep up the great work!

My wife and I ate there for dinner on a Sunday night. We got there early to beat the crowd, but it didnt seem to matter. We waited 40 minutes for our food from the time we ordered. We ran into another couple that we knew and their experience was the same. The place got very busy after we arrived and had placed our order, but that should not have impacted our wait time since we ordered before the crowd arrived. All in all, we will give it another try because the food was good and the prices are great. However, if it takes that long again, we will probably never go back. Also, chips and salsa are great, but they say on the menu that first basket of chips is complimentary and then $1.99 for each basket after that. We got a second one and they didnt charge us, so who knows... They definitely shouldnt charge money for extra baskets if their service is going to take that long.

First time here last night and I already want it again TONIGHT! We had the Nachos supreme & Steak Fajitas. AMAZING and fresh and lots of food. Chicken on the nachos were outstanding. Cant go without getting Fried ice cream.. HOLY COW -- AMAZING. That staff was on top of their game, got refills on chips/salsa (but we didnt need it) and waters immediately!! We may seriously go 2 nights in a row, I dont care if its my inner fat-girl coming out. Were in america! Plus, when you find a place to eat, they dont judge you how many times you come in - they are thankful you come back! (: All together bill was under $30.. what a steal!

Went here because of the reviews, dont know what people are talking about. Margaritas were warm and weak. Salsa was too tomato tasting. The beans and rice were bland and almost tasted like nothing. The red enchilada sauce tasted burnt and the green enchilada sauce was too sweet (they used tomatillos instead of green chilis). The chicken was bland and dry. Only thing good was the service was fast and friendly. Except we waited forever for our bill and finally got up to ask for it.

When youre in Iowa, youre not thinking Mexican food. But Casa Tequila is solid stuff, and this comes from a Texan who has been eating it all his life Get there for the lunch specials, and youre talking a great deal too. Enchiladas are good, tamales are good, rice and beans are very tasty. Havent been to any of their other locations, but the Tiffin location offers the best Mexican food in the Iowa City area.

This used to be my favorite place to eat. Tonight they seated us brought chips and promptly forgot us. I had to go ask if we could get something to drink. They came to get our order and I reminded them we needed drinks. They were standing around chatting when I went looking for someone to bring drinks. Chatting is fine, but dont forget your clients; they are the reason you have a job.

Very terrible we seat order our drinks get our salsa and order our food. Others come in seat order there drinks food and all get there food and others come in and get theres order and theres comes! Then finally ours comes out while the others where leaving. So I will never be back at this one! I can go to the one in iowa city 100% faster!! Was way to slow!!

The service was terribly slow. We could see our waiter standing at the window playing on his phone and talking to the kitchen staff instead of bringing us our check. As someone just passing through this town, this restraunt gives it a bad reputation. Sorely dissapointed.

Having lived 9 years in AZ and moved back to IA recently, this is some of the best Mexican food Ive found in iowa city area. Go there often, its delicious. My favorite is the seafood enchiladas.
