Some man time with me, the smal fry and a buddy brought us to the second rendition of Capanna and while its not quite the same as the original, its a very solid second place. The same Gelato and coffee selections greet you at the North Liberty locale, but youre graced with the presence of baked goods and sandwiches - A+ Capanna! Unlike the flagship store, this one doesnt share a sitting area with a Pizza place, and whlie you might say this constitutes selling out, Im a fan of having the coffee shop autonomy. The decor seemed a lovely combinatiion of coffee plantation and pirates....weird I know, must be something about having the option to sit on burlap and having barrels in the dining area. Made we want to set sail on the black pearl whilst sipping an Earl Grey. Seriously though, the coffee here is solid, almost as good as downtown. The Cafe Miel (Latte w/ honey and nutmeg - Try it) is good, approaching excellent and I imagine as they get more experience, itll be hard to tell a difference between the town places. Drip coffee is solid as well. Plenty of space to spread out and the spot has a good vibe to it. Trends towards starbucks, but not everyone in there sports a turtle neck and a Mac Book Pro while working on that novel. Well worth checking out and serving up some solid brew!

As good as a coffee shop gets in Eastern Iowa. The decor is nice, and very coffee-shop like. The coffee was smooth and well priced, I had a white chocolate mocha. But what I really loved was the atmosphere in this place, the music was relaxing, the tables spaced very well and far from one another, it just felt like a great place to unwind.

I love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is awesome, quiet enough so that you are not fighting over blaring music to have your conversation, I am looking at you Starbucks, with plenty of seating as well. Unfortunately I didnt try and of the gelato but the coffee was off the charts awesome, as were the baristas!

Great local coffee shop thats been in business for a long time. They roast their own beans and make their own Gelato. The Gelato is out-of-this-world delicious. I wish there was more of a seating area and the sitting area could soon use a renovation.

Love the comfy and roomy space as well as FABULOUS Gelato, Coffee and Tea. Oh, and did I mention the amazing scones? I thoroughly enjoy bringing my photography clients in to chat about our sessions. Never been disappointed yet!
