Oh man, where do I start? Four coworkers and I went in there around 6pm on Thurs. Jan. 26th. Were there for a good 10 min before anyone ever came to our table, not that big of a deal, except that one of my friends was telling us a story when the "waitress" interrupted, yelling, "Is anyone ready to order?!" Now look, Im not one to get my panties in a bunch, but this chick was rude as rude gets, and right from the start. Funny thing is, there was only ONE other table with customers in the entire place, and not a single person at the bar. So, as you can imagine, it was pretty quiet in there. And hey, thats fine. Thats what we wanted, as were not party-ers or anything, plus it was Thursday. Anyway, it was annoying but whatever...lets order some drinks. We ordered and ate and the food was pretty good! We each had one drink a piece before the food got there, and when we were finished we each ordered another. About 30min later(we had now been there about an hour) we decided to each have one more. This would be the 3rd, and final, drink of the night for all of us. Ok, so we were trying to get one of our coworkers, who never usually drinks, a shot of Rumchata, when all of the sudden the waitress runs over to our table, and loudly chimes in, "Oh, Im going to have to see his ID. He needs an ID!" All of us just looked around at each other because this chick was obviously eaves dropping, which is ok, but then cuts into our conversation, acts like were conspiring evil, and tries to spoil our little bit of fun. I was thinking, "What the heck? Why? Whats the problem here? What did we do? Were all over 21 you cooky bit RT

Went there on a Friday during lent and had their "all you can eat fish". I think I had better food at my high school lunch program. Small triangles of over cooked, heavily breaded, fishy tasting something. For someone to have a restaurant in a community with a lot of people who observe lent, you think they would try to do something better than a fast food joint does. Waitress never did ask if I wanted more food and she was just adequate at most. Wont be going back for fish, maybe not back at all. TH

We came into the bar Sunday at 9 p.m. The waitress informed us they werent serving any food anymore, so we discussed if we wanted to drink something nonetheless. Then, the waitress left and simply ignored us - and that was in an almost empty room, only two more tables were occupied, one of which had just paid the check. Probably a nice place if you just want to sit around, but dont expect to be served anything. ST

Now that I have moved, one place I am going to miss in Dubuque is 1st and Main. They have the BEST onion rings my wife and I have ever had-and we try them everywhere we go. Nice atmosphere and staff also. We will make sure to visit when we get back there. KE

Google says you open at 7am on Sundays. Your menu posted on your website also says 7am. However it appears that you dont open until 8am. Please make corrections to avoid confusion. I had an excited and hungry 5 year old with me and you werent open. RY

Fun place for the weekend and also a great place for a bite. Flatbreads are excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good amount of space as long as the basement level is open, if not a few large groups can fill the place up pretty easily HE

Nice bar for a bite to eat and drinks. The kitchen closes at 9 during the week but they were great to make sure we got food after we arrived at 8:45pm. The Main St. burger with bacon, peanut butter and jelly on it was tasty. AN

Great draft beer selection. The menu is a pub menu, but with many gourmet touches. Local ingredients are preferred. Good service. Sports bar ambience, but a good place to stop when wandering around downtown Dubuque. CL

Tasty food with a quirky menu. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. A large selection of alcohol compliments the menu filled with interesting and yummy sounding food. Will definitely find again if Im ever in town. ST

Everything is great here - food, drinks, service - you really cant go wrong! The mozarella bites are the best around, and so are the fried pickles. You gotta try the 1st & Main burger! PE
