Finally we got us a Five Guys, & they aint not no suckas! 2nd day being open, busy AF, & my food was fast, consistent, & delicious! Easily jumps to the top 3 burgers in town. The prices may scare some folk, but thats the price for awesome nowadays. To save some money (& room in your belly) I recommend ordering Littles, as the regular burgers come with two beef patties & the fries are more than enough. And buy a shake. Holy Moses dem some good dairy products up in thur. I will mos def brave the lines for another go at this place soon! Edit 3/6/17- after hearing & reading other reviews, you either love it or hate it. I went again today for lunch, & my opinion has not changed. The food is FRESH, & youre paying for it. The burgers are as good as you make em, since you choose the toppings, of which theres plenty. The fries lack the crisp of any other fast food fries, but thats what you get when theyre cut & tossed into a fryer on-site. Again, fresh is the keyword here. They could dial back the seasoning a bit, but when you are as busy as they are, you cant get mad about that. Everyone working there is busting their butt to make wait times a short as possible: I was in & out of there in under 10 minutes during lunch. I wish nothing but success to these folks. TL;DR.... FRESH FOOD. Great, classic burgers. Delicious fries & shakes. Do it.

Ive been to numerous Five Guys across the nation and have received excellent service and food. Unfortunately the management at this CR location is absolutely terrible and I will not be back. Our food was rung up correctly at the register but we were given a completely wrong order and didnt know until we made the 25 minute trek home. We drove back, asked for a refund and the correct order for free - we were given a cash refund without apology and we stood there for 5 minutes until I realized that they werent remaking our food. Ive worked in food service before and I have never hesitated to give the customer a refund and a new meal on the house if something wasnt right. I had to alert the manager again about our frustration and how we still wanted our food even though he gave us a refund. He rolled his eyes and proceeded to tap the order screen. He was intentionally rude to us and his staff. We waited another 10 minutes, got our order... but they forgot the fries - waited another 5 minutes and finally got our order. We had to check the bag and what do you know? They still forgot bacon on the BACON cheeseburger. Ended up just going home with yet another wrong order. Food was fine, over crowding in the restaurant was annoying, and the management was horrendous.

Stopped here with my 6 year old grandson. He wanted a simple hot dog with ketchup. $4.69 for it. I had a burger with some toppings. $8.69 for it. Small fry, $3.09, drink $2.69. Total bill with tax was $20.50. Waited almost a half an hour to get my food. Recieved it with the cup of fries laying on its side, all the frys in the bottom of the sack. I understand the topper, but the topper is not an empty fry cup, with all the fries just dumped in the sack. The fries were way over seasoned. They were not crisp, nor should they be. Frys made fresh from whole potatoes do not fry up crisp. Factory precooked do. The burger was good, but nothing special. The jalapeno peppers did taste fresh. It was hot and noisey, with no place to sit. A bit better than BK/McDs, but not any better than Culvers. Last time here, only time here, well not be back. Good luck in Cedar Rapids, I suspect youre gonna need it.

Five guys has some of the best french fries of any fast food place in the US. They source their fries from different local farmers every month and you get a lot of fries for the price. This location has shakes because it is a franchise but the other stores do not. Definitely check it out. But dont wait in a stupid long line for fast food. Its not worth it. Its good but if your reading this you live in the midwest and your life sucks and a fast food place that is on ever street corner of normal places on the coasts is new now but when its not youll realize that your all crazy for going crazy for a place that serves fast food.

Way over priced for what you get. Yes it was a good burger but not 9 dollars good with no fries or a drink. The place should have been built much bigger, no where to sit, not even outside, there wasnt even room to be in the line. I was deterred from getting even a shake because the size I saw someone else get was the equivalent of a childs cup for 5 dollars which is to say ridiculous. We will not be coming back, Id rather go to Freddys for their pricing and for their forethought to make enough seats and kitchen space for their business.

Waited in line for thirty minutes kinda excited to try the food....I ordered and the sticker shock was real.... Definitely the most expensive in town. I can get a better burger at Zombie Burger or the Burgerfry....And those fries were soggy as ever and covered in Cajun seasoning.....I had enough on my fries to dust it off onto my burger. Very bland for the hype....And no topping to really choose from. Better step up your game.....Iowa foodies dont play around.

First off, the prices are out of this world! $10 for a burger without a side! I had a hair in my food (see the pictures) and the staff screams the whole damn time! You cant even enjoy your lunch because they scream in the kitchen, managers screams at staff, they scream out order numbers. Scream scream! Not impressed. Culvers has just as good as quality for less and much more professional.

Service at the register was fast. Restaurant and restrooms were decent. Food was alright, quite run of the mill like your stereotypical fast-food joint. Portion size was extremely lacking, especially for the high price that was paid. For the cost of one burger, fries and a drink, you would be able to get two combos with dessert at Freddys and maybe save a buck.

Im not sure what the hype was surrounding this burger joint but while the burger was tastier than the other fast food places it wasnt worth $9+ dollars. I did notice there were an overwhelming number of employees doing next to nothing. Perhaps if they eliminated what appears to be several useless jobs they could reduce their prices by saving on overhead costs?

Food was amazing! I definitely enjoyed eating here and the shakes are the best in town. I would have expected given 5 stars but I believe professionalism is huge. The shift manager started an argument with another young man and also a young woman. Im sure she didnt make them feel very good. I hope this gets corrected then it would be perfect!

I had heard that Five Guys opened in Cedar Rapids and the internet claims that it is the BEST fast food burger. I would say otherwise. I thought the hamburger, fries and shake were good but not worth the 14 dollars I paid for it FOR ONE PERSON. I could have gotten more for my money elsewhere. I will continue to choose Wendys instead.
