Ive frequented this Caribou Coffee on multiple occasions and this morning was the final straw that broke the camels back. I understand that coffee places are busy and the workers there work there butts off but between long wait times and having to pay before the coffee has been poured and then running out of the specific type of coffee that was purchased, Ive had it. I normally bring in a thermos to have filled because I do enjoy Caribou brand coffee. However, this morning was it. I walked in the door and was able to walk right up the counter and I asked them to fill my thermos. The woman then took my card and ran it, which I was not feeling good about because of the last few times of them running out of the specific type of coffee. I guess its my fault for not asking them how much coffee they had left, or maybe they should have known, I dont know. Anyway, I pay for the coffee, she turns around and gets about 1/4 of the thermos filled and says theyre out and if I would like to wait for more to be brewed. I inform them that I dont have time. She then turns around and starts pouring another type of coffee into the thermos. It took me a second to realized what she was doing and I asked her to stop. I was a little taken back by the this and asked to just have my thermos because I was frankly annoyed and I was running out of time to get to work. Another woman stepped in and asked me if I would like a refund, which I would have gladly accepted, however, I was out of time and had to go. I know this seems so trivial and is #1stworldproblems. I dont want anyone to get in trouble but I would like to recommend a couple suggestions: 1. Would it be possible to have a line for people that just want a plain black coffee? That way you dont need to wait behind someone that has ordered a drink that has 15 steps to make it? 2. Check and see how much coffee is left before someone pays for a coffee.

When we arrived we were the only people in the shop. We tried to order a small Blended hot chocolate and were told very kurtly by one of the young ladies there that they would only make it as a childs drink. We have ordered this drink before at other caribou coffees and have never had any problems. I then ordered my coffee with an extra shot. When the young lady let me know my coffee was up I asked her if there was an extra shot in it. She rolled her eyes then went and checked her order screen. She then informed me that since I had not told them that I wanted the extra shot that she would remake my drink but that I was going to have to go back to the register and pay for the extra shot. I told her that I had no problems with paying for the extra shot but frankly at this point since this was their mistake and not mine that she should just apologize and remake the drink and throw in the extra shot simply for the inconvenience. I then asked her if she was having a bad day because of how irritable and short she was with her customers, particularly when we were being very patient and kind to both of the young ladies working there. She stated that it had been a hectic day, but frankly having been in customer service for many years and frankly her behavior would have been mortifying to me if I were her boss. I have handled individuals swearing at me with more poise and courtesy then we were shown as patient, kind customers. The other young lady who was I believe training did her best to be very pleasant, the individual who was more seasoned or training her probably needs to remember that those coffee drinks keep her employed. The next time we are headed to Rochester we will be sure to not make the same mistake twice....well turn right and head to Starbucks. Thank you

I have stopped here multiple times and every time my experience has been horrible, which is upsetting because I love caribou and work for caribou myself. 1. The first time I went I ordered an iced drink. I went inside and there was no one else in the store. I waited 10-15 to get my drink and when I got it the drink was still warm and there was no ice in it. Today I went in and ordered a mocha half dark half milk chocolate and a large classic black iced tea. Simple. I was the first one in line and it took her 5 minutes to get my drinks rang up. When I got my mocha it was only half dark chocolate, there was no milk chocolate and not the full amount of chocolate, and I then had to ask for my iced tea. They then realized they were out of the kind of tea I want (I dont understand how you can be out of iced tea at 7 am your night people are supposed to make sure you have the drinks for morning rush) I also believe you should know when youre out of something so you can tell your customers before they order it! They are always under staffed especially for the morning rush. If youre in a hurry I wouldnt stop here especially if you want your correct drinks.

I am not happy about having to post this negative review but I am extremely disappointed in this Caribou location. Two Tuesdays in a row now I have drove through the drive through between 5:40 and 5:45 am to get coffee and breakfast before work and for some reason they were not open yet. The store is supposed to open at 5:30 am. The first time apparently someone did not show up to open which I understand but I dont know what the problem was this morning. I choose to leave my house earlier than usual to come to this specific coffee shop and when I show up and they arent open I then have no time to go anywhere else before work. I also went in this afternoon to get two drinks and the staff was not very friendly and seemed extremely uninterested in providing good customer service. My drinks were also not prepared how I asked. I stood there to get someones attention and when no one acknowledged me, I left. I work at a coffee shop and I know things come up, but providing good customer service is a choice and should never be sacrificed. I love the Caribou products and hope that I have better experiences in the future.

I hate to complain, but it was slow when I came here and it still took something like 10-15 minutes to get a sandwich. One person catered to the drive-thru on a headset while I waited at the counter for what seemed like forever. When the other person finally took my order, I asked for a breakfast sandwich and water. The family with kids behind me got their coffees and sweet drinks before I ever got a cup of water, and then I was informed that my sandwich was on the way--except it wasnt because nobody put it in and they didnt have any. Nor was the next one I tried ordering available. I finally settled on something, and it took approximately 1 minute after they put it in. The whole thing was odd. Ive worked in restaurants before, and its not difficult to fill a water and (I imagine) put a prepackaged sandwich in an oven and hit the go button... especially when its not busy. Im a Caribou fan, but stuff like this seems to happen a lot lately.
