This place really depends on what you get. If you get anything breakfast it tastes like it was only microwaved and not actually cooked. The only food that is worth getting is the burgers and thats pretty much it. The service is the best part of the restaurant. The servers at night are generally very lively. The servers are what makes it even worth dinning at this restaurant. That and its the only place in Ames that isnt a burger joint that is open 24 hours.

All I have to say is that when you wait an 1 hour and 10 minutes for food and there are people who came in after you and they have already ate and left. Not great service. The waitress never came back to our table until the bill came and they told us they took half our bill off. We did say something to manager and all she said was one side is faster than the other. They need to up their game if they cant handle the fast pace.

Walk in we were seated no one waited on us finely a young man come over and asked us what we were drinking. By then other people came in and they were waited on and still no coffee. The young man that ask us never came back. But the people were waited on. We got up and walked out and NO ONE said a thing to us. We will Never go back there again. Perkins you need to get your stuff in order.

Perkins is really the only option for a restaurant to eat at in the middle of the night in Ames. So big props on that, but I feel like they have the market cornered. The breakfast food is pretty good as long as you dont get something fancy,. Im always tempted by stuff on the seasonal menu, but Im always disappointed. Also not a huge fan of their pie.

Service was very good as waiter was very patient with us because we really couldnt decide on what to get. Once we did order food was very tasty and again waiter was present when we needed a refill or a plate taken away.

OK food, open 24 hrs, free wifi. This is much like all other Perkins and since Ames is a college town is popular with the late night post party crowd or when the fire alarm goes off at 3 am in your apartment building...

Great food for a decent price, however our waiter only checked in on us at the very beginning and end of our visit. He never checked in on how our meal was and we never even got a refill on water.

This a great place go get breakfast food. It is popular with the college crowd late at night, take that as you wish. Half price apps late at night are a must if you are craving fried food

Its a Perkins. Food is the same as every other Perkins. The staff is really good though. Apparently, one of their full time staff travels nationally to train other stores.
