The staff can not. Speak enough English . Their food comes out OK but our plates still had soap substance. We tried our best to tell the asss. Repeatly . Also when they say kids eat free the waitress could not speak but few words of English. Kids can eat any meal on main menu. Not the childs menu. I ordered the nachos with steak shrimp and chicken only thing is it had more green peppers and onions than anything I choked on one of the onions because it still had the of the onion on it I would never go back to this place very unprofessional rude if they come to America they need to learn our language theyre getting our money the customer comes first yes I am upset the Fat Bastard that runs the place couldnt speak a damn word of English my whole family were slick I could not go to school the next day so what does that tell you do not go to Mexico City Grill just saying people Amazon is a much better and there is a place on Franklin Road that is even better they have a nice nacho carbon there . And staff is very friendly. ..... . Please be aware of Mexico city grill. Mexico City Grill was on Dirty Dining just to let you all know and I will turn them in myself

You know it only takes one time to turner you nose up at a places. We would go here a couple times a month until one Monday night on a kids night where the kids eat free with a adult purchases. The chicken figure kids me came out burnt. The chicken was so dark brown it was almost black. I looked at the servers because we had two or three waiting on us guess they work together not sure. Told them this was crazy no one could eat this. They took them turned them over and brought them back a few minutes later. At this point I td them no thank you and was ready to go we paid the bill and thats when manager came over to see how the meal was. Little late at that point wont go back.

She brought us our chips and salsa when we first arrived. No drinks for Bout 10 min. Waited another 5 for our cheese dip. Food came which I eat w chips and I asked for refill and that took about 7 more minutes. Food is good. But when we were done a ROACH CRAWLED ON THE WALL BESIDE ME. I almost threw up. Meal was free thankfully. Will never go back. My review is the 2nd that has seen a roach there. Wish I seen the first one before we went. Imagine how many have seen them that didnt leave a review

Weve been eating here several times a month since it opened. Delicious food! We had dinner there this evening and we were so disappointed with the salsa. The salsa has always been the BEST! Tonight it was thin and watery with no flavor. Where were the chunks of tomatoes, onions, green peppers, & cilantro? Our server brought us another bowl, but it was no better. My husband & I are hoping this was just a fluke. The rest of our meals were wonderful!

Been coming here for years now and this is hands down the best authentic Mexican food on the south side. Yes weve had our had experienced here, but every place has their bad days. As a Iraq was veteran, I love the fact that the owners son is a U.S Marine and theres a picture of him hanging on the wall. Great beer prices and the pullo creamoso is my go to dish. Love this place!

What an amazing surprise this place was. Away from home for 10 days and this by far took the cake!!! Amazing menu options, great prices. The fajitas for 2...WOW! The portion size was huge, we could have fed 4 (actually we did because we each had left overs for lunch and they were just as good. My husband and I ate for under $25.00. Unbelievable. Highly recommend.

I eat here once a week at least, friendly, fast, great tasting food, the salsa is the best around, the margaritas I feel as I am getting more than my moneys worth many places short you on the tequila not here. I love the new bar area its a great improvement, Im a long time Southsider and this is the best Mexican on this side of town.

The person who put the Pollo Cremoso on the menu deserves an award. Awesome stuff. Huge portion. Prompt friendly service. Everything you could ask for in a strip mall Mexican place. Warm chips, above average tasty chunky salsa. Taco salad was pricier than other similar places but larger.

We eat here weekly for the consistently great food. They have the best chips/salsa/queso of any local mexican restaurant and fair prices, especially lunch and when kids eat free on Monday nights. Always easy to find coupons as well. Down 1 star because service is not always prompt.

Food was great, I especially recommend their seafood soup (minus the salmon) and pay the extra few dollars and have them make the guacamole in front of you at your table....so so so good....prices were great, service with a smile and actually understand English. I will be back!!!!!

The food is almost always wonderful! The last few times however the wait staff has left a lot of room for improvement. The rarely smile and you have to search for them if you need anything. Mexico City Grill has a great product they just need to retrain their employees!

No stars from me it doesnt even freaking rate anywho the food was cold people come in after we did got their food before we did and then on top of that the service was bad had to wait 45 minutes to get there freaking food so it sucks.i will not go back.

Great Mexican food with friendly service. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is nice. The portions were large and the food was very good. One of the better Mexican restaurants that I have eaten at on the south side.

Tasty Mexican Food. Not bland like most places around here. I highly recommend the Monterey Chimichanga lunch. Almost the best burrito I ever tasted! Reasonably priced items on the menu. Good service, casual atmosphere.

I have been going here for 4 years . They wouldnt allow me to have grilled chicken and their food is now horrible. I will never go here again . Another mile down the road across from Walmart is worth the drive !
