This place badly suffers from an Indianapolis attitude. In Indy, the culinary bar is set very low, and many people have no idea how things are supposed to be done. Boogie thinks it has a corner on the burger market, so it can be indifferent to customer criticism. Small Indy establishments are incredibly arrogant about the product and service they deliver. They play in a shallow cultural pool, but they act as if they are the epicurean center of America. When you ask for pickles on your burger, they give you a pickle spear. Thats like ordering a pepperoni pizza and getting a stick of pepperoni. Pickle spears go on hot dogs; Kosher dill chips go on burgers. Just how are you supposed to put a pickle spear on a burger? When you tell the staff that pickle spears are not proper for a burger, the rude staff is wholly indifferent and gives you a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. If you complain, they actually respond with "were rated #1 in Indy," as if that non sequitur inoculates them from having to deliver a proper product and somehow legitimizes their erroneous practices. I cant see the attraction in their much-vaunted garlic fries. They did nothing for me. Charlestons on 82nd St. is a much better burger experience. I havent been back.

We visit about twice a month, especially in the warmer months as they have outdoor seating. Love the Black Bean burger. Also order the Garden Burger. Their fries are what I would call their claim to fame. If you like garlic, you should definitely order the garlic fries. If you like Chili Cheese fries, then do the same. I always order a side of ranch and/or cheese with the fries. If you are particularly hungry and not lactose intolerant, get a milkshake or malt. The seating is a little odd due to them being in the old Tin Star restaurant, but you will get used to it if you keep coming. My only beef (ha ha) is with the folks who drop their cell phone and keys on a table before getting in line to save a table. This prevents people who are in line ahead of them from getting a seat. My solution is to sit down anyway and take the phone up the register reporting it and the keys "left behind."

I think there is new owner ship. You can tell the difference in the food quality and service. Their website says they close at 10 during spring hours... its spring, but they close at 9? Not to mention every time I come even an hour before closing they are already closing up shop and not taking carry out orders. I am here now. It is 8:45 PM and they just locked the door on me. Wont be coming back here just because of the service. Has America become so lazy they dont want to take make money?? I remember when this was the best spot in broadripple. Now its the spot if you want a mediocre burger. What a shame.

If you dont mind waiting for them to cook your carry out after you get there and pay no problem.... Love their food but management and policies need changing. They blame it on people showing up late for pick ups and having to re cook things. Every other carry out place in town manages their time and expectations sad this one cant.... Even when we ask them if we can pay over the phone or explain we live 1 min away they say yes and we show up to no avail food not even started cooks standing around doing nothing. Rant out

This place has gone downhill the past few months. Been waiting here for 15 mins. for 3 burgers! Then, she proceeded to tell me she gave the people in front of us our food and we had to wait even longer. She even made a comment about them probably coming back and getting free food, but didnt offer a refund or anything to us. Not even an apology! And, to make it all worse the manager was right there and knew what was going on, but didnt acknowledge it at all and never said sorry.

The Boogie Burger experience matches the Boogie Burger food. It doesnt get much more local yet consistent service wise than at Boogie Burger! To match that the food is always consistent in taste and in presentation, I would think the experience would have to be love or hate. My only complaints have ever been making a mess and the napkin dispensers serve me well there. Sanitizer on your hands if need be afterwards and youre on your way.

Anybody whose doesnt like Boogie Burger must be suffering from tasteless tastebuds, because Ive been to plenty burger joints, and nothing compares. Besides the creative atmosphere the staff are lively and happy to serve you. My mother has worked in Broad Ripple for years and she agrees that if you want a real burger in this state youd better be at this place. There is a reason there rated #1 in Indy. RESPECT!

This place is popular because of their large menu of fun, creative burgers. Meat seems to be frozen from Sysco - the same you get at the hospital cafeteria. Buns are lackluster and the veggie condiments are about as fresh as McDonalds. If youre looking for a quality burger, go elsewhere. If youre OK with creatively doctored up frozen food, this is your place.

Really just... not good. Nothing had any flavor to it. Got the New York New York and it kinda just tasted like plain meat and onion. Garlic fries smelled immensely of garlic but just tasted like eating raw potatoes. Also way over priced. Do yourself a favor and go to 317 Burger a few blocks away.

This place has best burger I have had ever!.....garlic fries are v good. The only con is this place is really small and the smell of garlic fries, burger... comes all over u within few mins. I would keep a cologne in my car if I am going back to work after having lunch here.

Small little location but jam packed with features: 70s -current music, plentiful salads, different types of burgers, smoothies, somethin for everyone, sit down dining, call in and pu orders, friendly, quick and hardworking staff. A little discovery but gaining momentum.

Good food with a piss poor attitude, they forgot to put a order of fries on my tray and when I complained they told me we dont do that here, when all I wanted was the food I paid for. To put it simply they dont care. Pray that your food is correct the first time.

Mmm! mmm! love the rise n shine burger with the bacon ranch fries and a vanilla shake on the side definitely one of the best burger places in Indianapolis should open more locations around the city from north to west to east and south and make it a local thing!

Great gourmet burgers a bit tucked away from the busyness of broad ripple. Its hard to compare this truly unique experience, as very few places are on this level. Greatness comes with a cost, this is no cheap eat. Be prepared to spend upwards of $12 per meal.

Bit pricey, but huge portions. Pretty good burgers - I love the Maui Wowie and the Peanut Butter burger. Fries are pretty good. Shakes use Blue Bell, but are SUPER expensive. Boogie is a neighborhood institution, and its a pretty good patio for outdoor eating.

Not my type of place. The burger itself was ok, but not great. The much-hyped fries were a disappointment. I prefer crisp fries. The ones I received were the soggiest in my life. They were hid under tons of garlic, which really didnt add to the taste.
