First off, I dont want to give this place even 1 star. I will NEVER EVER return to or recommend this place. Before we walked in, we could see children running all over and bouncing/kicking/throwing a ball. We get in and are waiting to be seated, nobody comes to seat us. We finally just sit down ourselves, no menus, and only 2 place mats at a table that seats 4. We needed a highchair, we got it ourselves. We wait at least, if not more, 5 minutes for someone to realize we were there. The waitress came and took our drink orders (still no menus) She comes back with our drinks and we have to ask for menus. We get our order in, food comes out. 1 dish is completely wrong (not the waitresses fault). New dish comes out in less than 5 minutes. My mother has ordered this dish at least 2 times before and it came out in a different, smaller tray. It was not prepared the same and not fully cooked. The food was hard. She ate a bite or two and decided to not eat it. My step-fathers meal was ok, but some noodles were hard. "like eating straw" My meal was perfect, no problems. The waitress did not once come to ask us if we needed refills. To be fair, the waitress was extremely nervous and obviously new. My step-father asked to speak to the manager. He offered to take of my mothers meal, even after assuring her that she received the right meal and it has not changed in the 30 years theyve had it. He even offered to take off my step-fathers meal (which only the noodles were the problem with his and he had ate more than half of the rest of the meal). We were very upset. We mentioned that the waiter had not been back out, he went to go get her (we thought). however, he never returned. Then a woman came out, im guessing the owner, not sure. She came out, furious, and was very rudely asking about my mothers meal and claimed that my mother had eaten half of it. Which she did not even eat an 1/8 of it. Then she very loudly made a comment about my step-father wanting his meal for free even though he ate most of it and boxed the rest. My food was the boxed one, not his. Plus, the other manager was the one who offered to take it off the bill. She created a scene in front of 15-20 more customers. The guy sitting behind us waited 52 minutes for his food and it came out cold. He too was very upset. Then a guy had called in an order, came to pick it up, and still had to wait 20 minutes, also upset. I have NEVER been treated so poorly at a restaurant.

The food here is legit and far exceeds the slop being served at "chinese" buffets. The egg rolls are typical of what were accustomed to getting at Chinese restaurants in Chicago, Ive yet to find anything comparable in SW Michigan. Now I do find the strange smells to be off-putting. For one, the egg drop soup smells like urine. I dont know of any spice or food that smells like human urine so I have no idea what thats all about. The fountain at the entrance smells pretty rank. Upon entering you encounter another strange smell that is hard to describe, its like an old musty water damage smell. That being said, I still eat here, just not the pee soup. The service is fantastic, its a nice, family-owned busines they offer prompt service and are attentive without being overbearing. Ive been dining here for years and find the owners to be very kin

Maybe its because I lived across the street for two months but I cant get enough! Every time I try something new its always good. Everything I see come out looks good. I love the egg rolls, the fried rice and the lo mein. The soups are good, the pork is great and even the American choices come out looking awesome! Dont hesitate to try! The staff also is fantastic, love the owner and a particular waitress that has enough sass to keep you coming back!

I wish I could give it 1 star! The whole restedaunt smelled horrible! Our waitress was like a scared puppy and they had no good vegetarian options! Not even a spring roll! I asked if they had a vegetarian roll and our waitress says we have one with shrimp and pork but you can barely taste the pork. Honestly it doesnt matter if you can taste it or not. I hated the experience plus its next door to a vape store. I will not be coming back.

I wish I could give it 0 stars. This was awful. When we arrived, it was very, very cold in the restaurant. Then my group of seven all got our food ordered. It took an hour to get our food, which was cold when we got it. The waitress said it took so long bc of my hamburger, which is absurd considering it was probably a quarter of an inch thick. Overall just an awful experience. Will not return.

We waited an hour and a half n all we had was an egg roll without any sauce to wash it down with. I would guess they own the motel behind the restaurant so you can have a place to sleep to wait for your entree.. dont wanna order desert there unless you have a couple days to spare.... I would order a to go order a week ahead of time... total dive!

Everything was gelatinous and flavorless and slow. I felt bad for the owners, the restaurant was slammed with most tables full, and there was only the owner and her 12 y/o-ish son and a teenaged waitress running the show. I know my personal taste is high, being from a big city, but we just couldnt eat most of our meal.

We waited N hour and a half to get our food and it was slimy and cold. And under cooked. Mostly out of everything we want and settled. Didnt even get the egg rolls until we were leaving. Wasnt even packed. It smelled like rotten water as well. Overall a bad dinner.

Is the most nasty disgusting restaurant Ive ever stepped foot in it stinks like sewage and they have a great big fish tank and Fountain they never clean which adds to the smell and I would not eat the food if they gave it away for free its dirty and gross

Our favorite! My mom, sister, and myself have been making the 35 minute trip here for years. Great, authentic Chinese food. Always fresh and cooked to order. You definitely get what you pay for. Absolutely the best Egg Rolls

I been to china before. The food at Golden Buddha taste so good that it bring me good memories when I was in China. I love there egg rolls, fried rice, and sweet and sour. The best restaurant in town. Will be coming back.

I love there crab rangoon, and the shrimp lobster sauce. The waitress is always nice and kind to me. I live 30minutes away and I dont even mind going there. I will be coming back.

The smell in the restaurant really needs to be taken care of. Not fond of the hot and sour soup the egg rolls were good. If they take care of the smell Id give them another try.

I have been coming to Golden Buddha for as long as I can remember. It is by far one of my favorite restaurants and the food is excellent, whether dine-in or pick-up.
